Chapters 104. Axelo's Promise

The sound of a medical machine could be heard echoing along the corner of the room dominated by the white paint. Aluna lay helplessly on a hospital bed with several medical devices attached to her body, including an infusion tube and oxygen.

The little girl's face was deathly pale and there was the sound of her slow, irregular and normal heartbeat. Moments ago the doctor said that Aluna's condition was not good, she had a heart shock and almost lost her life if she was a little late to be taken to the hospital.

Hearing that, made Axelo feel even more guilty. After all, this all happened because of him. If not for her being ignorant, surely Aluna would not be in danger and in this kind of situation.

"It's my fault, Aluna, it's because of me." Axelo still muttered so even though Starla had tried to calm him down. The boy felt guilty, very guilty. He has been cynical and not kind to Aluna, even though Aluna is her twin who should be dear to her. He shouldn't have acted that way, just because Aluna was noisy and wanted to invite him to play. His intentions were ignorant, even ended up playing with Aluna's life.

"Have a boy, it's not your fault. You do not know that your sister is sick, after all Aluna has been separated from the danger. He will be fine." said Saka as he rubbed Axelo's shoulders slowly, looking shaky. 'He must be scared'

"But it's my fault, I'm still wrong. I almost made it go away" said the boy regretfully.

Saka's hand rubbed gently the tears on Axelo's face gently. He looked at the son with a sad look, and then he smiled. "Don't cry anymore, Aluna will be sad if she finds out you're crying. Instead of you crying, you better pray for Aluna and take care of Aluna."

"I-iya." Axelo replied in a hoarse voice, she wiped her tears.

"That's dong!" saka shouted while hugging his son. "You should love your sister, yes, you are brothers. Brothers should love each other." advice Saka.

"Yes, I promise I will love Aluna and look after Aluna. I'm not going to hurt Aluna!" Axelo nodded his head, promising to treat Aluna well, cherish her and take care of her.

Saka unraveled her embrace. "Good boy, now don't cry ya." Axelo nodded his head.

Unbeknownst to them, Gina and Starla, who have just returned from the hospital administration, see Saka and Axelo. They also heard the conversation between the father and the child.

"Saka has changed a lot, he became a kit-at-kit adult" Gina commented to Saka's now much more calm and mature attitude.

"You're right Mom," Starla said, agreeing with what Gina said. From what he saw, Saka was already a little mature. Perhaps this was all because Saka had been Aluna's single parent for 5 years. His situation and circumstances made him a grown up person.

"Beware don't let you be charmed too easily at him. He still needs some stage of judgment, Star." Gina said as she crossed her arms around her chest. She looked at her daughter suspiciously, because Gina could see there was a glint of feeling in Starla's eyes for Saka, though not as strong as before.

"Who is fascinated? Don't make it up!" refute Starla while clucking in annoyance.

"Ssh, another base in the mouth is another in the heart. Well, I'll meet Mas Popeye and my prince in the cafeteria, you meet them!" Gina.

Starla nodded her head and then she walked over to Axelo and Saka. While Gina went to see Adrian and his son who were in the hospital cafeteria, they were buying a drink there.

The day turns night, Starla and Saka stay together at the hospital to look after Aluna. Axelo will return home with Adrian, Gina and Gio. However, Axelo refuses to go home before Aluna wakes up. From this afternoon, Aluna had not been awake and Axelo was afraid that anything would happen to his sister.

"I'll stay here, Mom, Uncle" he said with emphasis.

Starla sighed, then she tried to persuade her son. "Axel, young children should not stay overnight in the hospital. Let your mommy and Daddy take care of Aluna."

"Axel"

"Kaa.kak.." said Aluna slowly, making everyone in the room look straight at her. They were flabbergasted to see Aluna had started to open her eyes, even the little girl called out to her brother. They were relieved that Aluna had awakened.

"Hey princess, are you awake, baby?" ask Saka first. On the other hand, there was Starla grasping her tiny hand.

"Darling, are you okay?" starla asked with tears in her eyes. While Axelo was beside his opa and oma, he still seemed to feel guilty until he could not get close to Aluna.

"Ka.ka.kok..."

"What dear?" ask Starla gently. His heart was pierced knowing that this tiny body could survive with his heart disease from a baby and Starla was not there beside him to accompany Saka to take care of him.

Aluna's eyes glanced at Axelo who was hiding behind his opaque body. Aluna's hand pointed towards Axelo. "Sister.ci.nih.." lirih Aluna called again her brother.

"Axel, here boy!" Saka called out to Axelo who was behind Adrian's body.

Axelo was reluctant at first, but he also did not want to make Aluna more disappointed. If he does not approach, then Aluna will be sad and she will be the most self-destructive brother in the world.

Axelo's heart was filled to see his twin brother who was lying weak, with white lips and a glare in his eyes, looking weak. As if feeling an inner bond, Axelo also felt what Aluna felt.

"Ka.ka.hu... Lunahh." said Aluna whose mouth was still covered by an oxygen hose. Aluna seemed to have gotten used to some medical devices attached to her body, she did not feel shocked or how. Because he has often experienced this, when his body collapsed or his heart was weak.

"Why are you sorry? I should have apologized to you, sorry I was Aluna. I should have been a good brother, you would have hated me. It's okay if you would have hated me" Axelo said innocently. He is a judes and jutek kid, but he is still a kid and has a warm side. This was where Saka could see the other Axelo's heart.

"I don't hate Brother.I want to be Brother's sister..." Aluna shed tears, she was afraid Axelo hated her because she was sick.

"Don't stay away from Luna, Luna's nothing." the little girl asked. Axelo was immediately touched by Aluna's words, he clasped his sister's hand and looked at her with a wry look. The boy was teary.

"I won't stay away from you, I'm your sister. We're twin brothers."

"Promise don't stay away from Luna?" aluna's eyes immediately sparkled when she heard her brother would not leave her. Aluna used to have good friends, but when Aluna was sick her friend stayed away from her and did not want to be friends with her again. Aluna was afraid that Axelo would be like that.

"Yes, I promise." Axelo smiled then showed his thumb mother to Aluna. As if understanding, Aluna immediately linked her thumb mother with Axelo's thumb mother.

The promise movement they practiced was similar to the promise movement Starla and Saka used to be. At once Starla and Saka remembered the good times before Saka was tempted again by Elisha and made a crazy mistake that made his household and family scattered.

Shortly thereafter, after the peace of the two brothers. Saka and Starla agree to return to Indonesia after Aluna recovers because Aluna wants to go back there and she will bring Starla too.
