Binding, Binding Promise
The Last Dinner

Yuna had just returned to the room after finishing cooking with her sister-in-law in the kitchen. There was clearly a hue of happiness on Yuna's face after conversing with her sister-in-law, Raina Salsadila.

But not so for Zain, his handsome face turned sour. He did not even welcome Yuna with a smile. Zain, who had been sitting on the bed reading a book, stood up immediately after realizing his wife's arrival. He did not even dare to look at Yuna's face, the face he had always longed for.

"What are you reading? Let's go downstairs, it's dinner time. Brother's waiting for you." Yuna said as she walked towards Zain, she held her husband's arm and moved to tighten her fingers on Zain's fingers.

"I'm going down, now." Reply Zain while trying to untie Yuna's fingers. After saying that he directly walked out of the room without turning his head to Yuna who was looking at him with a look of wonder.

"What's wrong with her? He turned a hundred and eighty degrees after the incident." Yuna's great-grandson realized that Zain was no longer with her.

Five minutes later, dinner was quiet. Just the sound of spoons and garfu being mutually unpretentious, the rest of the two couples who were in the living room were enjoying their dinner without complaint. Zain who was usually friendly turned quiet in just a few hours. Yuna realizes that, but focuses her attention on her two brothers to avoid realizing the drastic change of Zain De Lucca.

"Sister, I want you to stay here. I'm so happy to have a talkative friend as smart as Raina's sister. All my problems seem to evaporate into space." Yuna said as she looked at Raina's smiling face. He did not realize Zain's face looked worried because of his short speech.

Did he tell the matter to brother-in-law? Finish your story Zain. Zain murmured in his heart while putting in the last spoon of his dinner.

Zain, who heard Shawn's words, accidentally pushed the water in his mouth. He was so shocked that he could not say a word. Zain's blue Netra directly led to Yuna's beautiful face that looked surprised.

"Slowly." Said Yuna still in a state of surprise, she rubbed Zain's back hoping that her handsome husband was okay.

"Why are you staring at your wife like that? Do you have any secrets?" Shawn asked, he looked at Zain full of question marks. Shawn's question is very simple, it only takes the answer 'Yes' and 'No' but in Zain's sense of hearing it sounds like intimidation.

"Sister, I'm his wife. He won't be able to hide anything from me. Don't you know I'm better than a detective?" Yuna who was trying to distract Shawn looked shyly smiling.

They are the perfect family. Why would I enter their lives if at the end of the day I am not worthy of the Dinata family. Again Zain could only murmur in his heart. He could not express his feelings to anyone because no one knew of his condition other than him. This was the suffering he had to swallow, the suffering of which he had ached beyond the thrust of thousands of swords. This last dinner ended with the laughter of three brothers, they always look happy except Zain De Lucca.
