Ch. 18. Become a partner 2

“When I first brought the book back to my house, strange events began to occur, strange noises were often heard at night, the lights went off suddenly even though there was no electricity problem. And last time...I met a little boy.” Laura said this while looking at Sean, seeing the reaction given by the handsome young man.

Surprise was clearly imprinted on Sean's face, his face a little pale.

Sean was silent for a moment before saying. “Did he say something to you?” ask Sean. His expression at this moment was unclear. There was deep anger and hatred there, as well as great regret.

Laura nodded at Sean's question. “She said she was scared, and she asked for my help” replied Laura lightly.

Sean's reaction was unnatural. He held Laura's hand making her stop her steps. Laura turned to look at Sean in surprise.

“Did he really ask you for help?” sean asked with a serious face.

Laura did not know the reason behind Sean's attitude and simply nodded in agreement. “What should I do with it? I do not know what to do.” Laura looked down lethargic, confused with herself.she did not expect because of her curiosity she had to be involved in this complicated situation.

“If he says it like that, then you can indeed save everything” Sean's remark makes Laura look at him in wonder. However Sean did not intend to answer her, so Laura asked herself.

“I won't answer it now” replied Sean briefly making Laura frown.

He already did not understand Sean's intentions and was filled with curiosity, and now Sean said he did not want to answer him?! Laura could die of curiosity if this were the case!

Sean saw Laura really become very upset. Sean looked at her and found this girl looking sweet if she was angry and astonished like that. Sean laughed and shook his head.

Sean stared at the night sky, the moon appeared in perfect shape that night, the night wind made the atmosphere of the night become colder than usual.

“Knowing early about the truth can be bad. It's better if you find out the truth at the right time” Sean thought to himself.

‘I hope all this ends soon...’.

That weekend, Louis was discharged from the hospital. Adolf and the others picked him up and drove him back.

Sean and Laura are also there at Louis's request. As Louis had said before, when he got out of the hospital, he would make a banquet for all of them. And here they are, the main house of the Pasteur family.

As part of the sultans and descendants of conglomerates, Louis's home was enormous. The yard is large and there are many ornamental trees there. The house is two-story and the door is three meters high!!

Is this home for giants?!!

Inside Louis' house was even more luxurious. The house has a modern European-style architecture, a large chandelier located in the center of the room just above the living room. Next to it is a staircase that curves horizontally towards the second floor.

“Sit there. I'll catch up with you guys after tidying up. Do not hesitate and eat whatever the waiter prepared for you later” Sean pointed to the long dining table behind the living room, and allowed them to sit down.

“She is really the young master of the second generation” thought Sean inwardly. Laura who was nearby just a small smile to see Sean who was still fixated with the luxury of Louis' house.

“No need to be that surprised. Louis was one of the lucky children and was born with a golden spoon in his mouth. So you don't have to be so shocked” said Laura lightly, making Sean sober from his banquet.

Sean, who was an orphan, clearly never saw this luxurious house, even in his dreams. Louis deserves to be called a young master with his wealth now. If in the future there are no problems in this family, then the treasure will not run out for seven derivatives!!

Louis's house floats immediately served them food. The food served is very varied and looks good. Adolf and Billy just ate what was served to them.

They really don't care at all!

Sean's brows twitched at the manner of the two of them, he quite understood, Adolf and Billy were close friends of Louis for many years. Adolf and Billy belonged to a sultan-class family and were born with a silver spoon in their mouth, but certainly not to be compared to Louis who was born with a golden spoon in his mouth.

Laura herself is also a child who was born with a golden spoon in the past, so do not care too much and act ordinary.

Only Sean became a little awkward with all the food that filled this long table.

'Rich people are too much. They were only five people but the food they prepared was more like food for 20 people with different types of varied menus. How did the five of them get to spend it? It will not end with their mouths! Will they throw it away if it doesn't run out? Very redundant!

Louis emerged from the second floor and staring at them all, he was wearing a white casual outfit with black casual pants. Her hair still looks wet. Louis was like freshly handsome young men, his eyes looking bright as he stepped happily to his companions.

With Louis there, the dining room felt more alive. And it was Louis who kept pressuring Sean to eat more. Finally that night Sean could feel what it was like to be tormented by satiety. And it feels like being rich!!

The next day, university X

Sean walked into the student camp with a stack of papers in his hand.

“Heuh.. this weight is also” complained Sean when putting a pile of paper on the lecturer's desk. He's a little dislike of the profession right now, it's really exhausting. But even if he wanted to refuse, circumstances did not allow him to run away.

“Tired chairman?” a low voice sounded from behind Sean. Along with that the water bottle touched the left side of his face.

“Alex. Here's the result of today's test.” Sean grabbed a bottle of water and gulped it down to the remaining half. “It's exhausting” Sean is staring at Alex with a parched face.

Seeing Sean's complaining face made Alex laugh and pat him on the shoulder to encourage him. “Jalani alone, maybe this time your luck is a little bad” Alex's speech was only replied by a nod by Sean. His luck was really bad.

“How is Louis doing? I heard he's back, right?” alex asked while checking the answer sheet of the students.

“Hm. He's better, he's in class now. Because today the exam starts he has to go in today also” Sean replied to Alex making Alex mangut-beard understand.

“Then, what will you do now?” alex asked still casually checking the answer in his hand.
