2. Little Paradise in the Remote Hamlet

^^^Flashback ^^^

The morning sunlight woke Baek Hyun from his stupor.  The clear sky became the first sight Baek Hyun saw when he opened his eyes. His whole body hurts. The man woke up and found himself lying on the grass with a deep abyss surrounding him. ^^^

^^^"Hana ..." Baek Hyun remembered his lover. He woke up and found Hana lying unconscious not far from him.  Baek Hyun crawled up to her.  When he saw his lover lying like a dead man, there was fear in him. ^^^

^^^“Hana ..” call him while shaking the body slowly while sobbing sadly. A moment later the woman looked grimacing. ^^^

^^^“Hana ..” call him again. A feeling of relief poured down his soul filled with fear. Hana is still breathing and alive. Baek Hyun pulled the body and embraced it tightly. There was regret in him after forcing Hana to do her will. ^^^

^^^* ^^^

^^^Destiny was quite generous this time. When both were thrown due to the violent collision. Several items were thrown there, including a small bag containing Baek Hyun's wallet and mobile phone. The place where the bodies of the two were thrown was also a small cave that became their temporary shelter. No one knew of the place because it seemed as if it had not touched anyone. Inside the cave, Hana lay weakly on the pile of grass that Baek Hyun had covered again with his jacket. Girl has a low-grade fever. ^^^

^^^Baek Hyun approached Hana while taking a compress on his forehead. He grabbed it, then smiled with relief because the heat Hana had gone down, plus the girl could already look at him with annoyed eyes. Baek Hyun did not care about it he was happy because it signaled Hana's psychiatric condition after the accident, was back to normal.  Without caring, Hana, who seemed to sulk, Baek Hyun straightened Hana's body and gave her a drink. ^^^

^^^“There is a small village near here, I got some cassava fruit from the garden belonging to the residents. I also went fishing and got a fish. I boiled yams and burned fish for our lunch. Wake up, you need to fill your stomach immediately. If you're okay, we'll get out of here.” ^^^

^^^“I will follow wherever you go, just don't take me dead again,” pinta Hana with a scowling face. ^^^

^^^“I won't repeat it again.” ^^^

^^^“Waaaaaah ..” Hana clapped her hands as she saw the fish as big as an ankle sprawled on the leaves. ^^^

Baek Hyun smiled, the woman looked healthy and happy as if forgetting their miserable fate. ^^^

^^^“Eat a lot. If you're completely healthy later, be prepared to travel long distances with your feet because I don't want to carry you.” ^^^

^^^“Don't underestimate me. I think you're the one who's gonna whine a lot later. ^^^

Baek Hyun could not answer Hana's statement. It is true that he is used to living comfortably. But the current reality makes him have to be able to live his new life. Especially now that the figure beside him had been completely his responsibility. He will take care of her like his own wife. Go wherever he goes.  Being fully responsible allows them to eat, find a place to sleep and rest at night and more. Now he wondered, could it be that Hana was able to follow him? But Baek Hyun himself did not have the courage to ask. He was afraid that the question would bring down the fiery spirit within Hana at this time. ^^^

^^^“But ... where will we go?” Hana broke Baek Hyun's thought. ^^^

^^^“I don't know either. Do not let others know or know where we are. I'm sure people must think we're dead at the bottom of this ravine. No one will know because the bottom of this abyss is famous in and as far as I have never been down there. We follow where the road leads us. The further the better. To the point where no one knows and remembers us.” ^^^

^^^“Ah.. we will be adventurers now, like wanderers.” Hana's face seemed to sparkle happily imagining it. ^^^

^^^“Why do you look happy? It's not as easy as you imagine. We are not ordinary vagabonds who can show faces at will. I believe the news of our death has spread to the corners of the earth. It would be horrendous if people saw us. So we have to be careful. If we get caught, I'll cancel my promise.” ^^^

^^^Hana who wants to put the sweet potato in her mouth immediately stops the action. ^^^

^^^“I was just joking..” replied Baek Hyun again. ^^^

^^^“I will try my best so that we are not caught,” said Hana with a slightly clear face. ^^^

^^^“Not just you, but me too.” ^^^

^^^“Ah ..” Hana fumbled her pants pocket. ^^^

^^^“Then my brother left this money to buy some milk boxes. I accidentally slipped it in my pants pocket in a hurry to meet the police who turned out to be that jerk guy.” ^^^

^^^“Don't remember it again,” said Baek Hyun as he took the money from Hana and put it in his wallet. Then handed the wallet to Hana back. ^^^

^^^“From now on, you're the one who saved our money.” ^^^

^^^“Didn't you work? Why am I keeping it? What if you need something?” ^^^

^^^“I will ask you if I need it,” he said as he took her hand and placed the wallet in the palm of his hand. ^^^

^^^“I bought some of our emergency needs in the village earlier. You should change your clothes too. I'm sorry, I bought a potluck and it's cheap. We also have to save.” ^^^

^^^“Thank you," said Hana while smiling sincerely.^^^

^^^“Where did you fish it?” ^^^

^^^“Near here is a river. You want to fish too?” ^^^

^^^“I've washed it.” ^^^

^^^ Almost a year passed by Baek Hyun and Hana were already completely part of the hamlet's population. The pattern of life there is still so primitive. They depend on life from the fruits of nature. They work and earn wages in the form of groceries or goods. There is no market, no electricity there is no internet. They don't know the technology very well. If you want to get married, only some of them actually hold a wedding ceremony. In part, not doing that. They live together and have children. Maybe that's why Baek Hyun and Hana felt comfortable living there. Because they themselves live together without going through a state-recognized marriage. They need not be afraid of being challenged. For both, the oaths and promises they made before God and the universe were enough. ^^^

Hana and Baek Hyun seemed to find their own paradise. There is goodness they receive every day. Hana and Baek Hyun have advantages that make them more respected and loved there. Both are not afraid to share. Baek Hyun must divide his schedule to go to sea, sell it to the market, also train the villagers of martial arts and various other activities. Baek Hyun was willing to teach him on condition that the knowledge be used to protect themselves and help others. Old, young men and women come to study with Baek Hyun.

Similarly, Hana, the woman did not happily teach the children there to recognize letters, numbers, teach them to read, and to count. Not infrequently adults also learn together. 

Like the other villagers, Baek Hyun and Hana also garden around their own homes. It is the villagers who help them open land and grow crops. They never worried about eating again. Even though he has no money as much as before. But their lives are abundant in food and love from the people. What a matchless happiness.

Hana smiled happily as she stepped back home.  He had just invited one of the residents to the garden and harvested fresh fruits there. At dusk he came home with fresh fruit and a bag of rice.

  Once at home he cooks rice for his dinner with Baek Hyun. He also prepared a stir-fried garlic and chopped chili as a complement to his grill lobster later. Not to forget he also cooked vegetables that he picked from his own garden.  The woman seemed to be smiling herself overshadowing Baek Hyun who was about to come and have dinner with her. If Baek Hyun had secretly come and seen her, it could have been that the man thought Hana was crazy, and Hana would have gone berserk because of it.

Similar to Hana, Baek Hyun also seemed excited about doing his job as a fisherman. Sometimes he laughed off hearing other fishermen's jokes while choosing the seafood he would bring home for Hana. He chose some lobsters and other marine fish from their catch. Once on the beach, Baek Hyun helped the fishermen with their goods, and prepared the seafood that would be sold to the other village tomorrow. Despite being told to leave, the man stayed there and helped until it was all over. That reason is what makes him loved and become the favorite of the fishermen.

Night arrived ..

Under the moonlight Baek Hyun ran around with his catch. In front of Hana's house was waiting for her. He smiled cheerfully welcoming Baek Hyun's presence.

“You bring a lot of catches?” Hannah ran to greet her husband

“Eum ..” I brought a lot of lobsters for us to roast later Baek Hyun said as he showed a fish container that he carried on his back. There's crabs and clams too."

Hana wanted to take the container that Baek Hyun was carrying, but the man immediately rejected it. “I'll clean it.”

“No... You take a shower there. I will clean,” Hana managed to snatch the container from Baek Hyun.

Baek Hyun looked at Hana while dabbling on the waist.

“If you clean the lobster, when do you shower? When do we eat? Take a bath .. While you shower, I'll clean this up. You're done bathing, the lobster's clean. We just grilled it, and ate together,” Hana looked at Baek Hyun seduce.

“All right my kind wife,” replied Baek Hyun as he ruffled Hana's hair.

“Do I need to bathe too?” Goda Hana's.

“Stop teasing me. You bathed the lobster there.”

Under the moonlight, in the yard of their house, Hana held a mat giving residents. He also installed oil lamps on several sides, preparing the fire and grill. On the mat he prepared dinnerware, rice, vegetables, fruits and a pot of water. For a moment the girl smiled with satisfaction at him. In the city, rich people do the same for a romantic dinner with family. They have to spend more to serve the menu as he prepared at this time. Even in the past, even though his family was quite capable, it was not easy for him to be able to enjoy seafood like today. Hana feels great gratitude, although in the early days they lived on the run, they had to do anything to be able to eat.

After that death, the only job Baek Hyun did most often was to become a building porters. If he gets that chance, then he and Baek Hyun will hang on for a while in that place until the building is finished. Baek Hyun deliberately chose a place where he could earn a daily wage. So he and Hana can still eat and buy necessities. Hana also did not remain silent. He also tried his best to earn money and save. Saving up? sounds impossible, right? But in fact he can. Hana is an amazing financial manager for both him and Baek Hyun. Now they don't have to work that hard. The sea and land provide everything for them. Not to mention the love of the residents of Dusun.complete already a small paradise in the remote hamlet.

“What are you daydreaming,” Baek Hyun whispered in Hana's ear. The man's hair was still dripping water after the bath.

Hana picked up the towel hanging from Baek Hyun's neck and rubbed it gently on the man's head. “I'm reminiscing about our incredible past.”

“Which one?”

“Of course after we escaped death. We are truly incredible adventurers. We can stay and be received in this Hamlet very well after your heroic act, isn't that like a fairy tale?”

“Eum, I'm great, right? Remember you underestimated me.” Baek Hyun pinched Hana's nose squash.

“That's because I'm worried about you,” Hana said as she hung the towel back around Baek Hyun's neck.

“I've already prepared the grill. We just burn the lobster.” Hana clasped Baek Hyun's hand and pulled the man near the grill.”

“Tomorrow early in the morning we will go to the village to sell the catch. Is there something you want to buy?”

“Buy me sanitary napkin ..”
