Catastrophe House

Catastrophe House
The Divisions They Desire

Dennis's eyes opened completely, he immediately turned to look at Mira's whereabouts.

“What dream are you?” asked Mira who was also looking at him asking.

“What's wrong, I'm just exhausted.” replied Dennis after he kept silent for a moment and exhaled softly.

Mira tries to understand Dennis' situation, whether because of work or something else but Mira must remain patient so that Dennis can be with his family again.

.

.

Today, unlike his usual family-warm days, Dennis immediately went to work after bathing without saying goodbye to his two special women.

“Mother, it's a holiday then why do you still work?” jennie asked to play the loaf of bread she should eat.

“Entah.” Mira replied briefly because Jennie's question was also in her head.

Mira occasionally looks at Jennie who does not eat the bread, this house is so gloomy if there is no happiness here.

“Mother.” call Jennie makes Mira turn to look at Jennie.

“Who is it?” jennie asked stammeredly and her index finger pointed forward, right behind Mira.

Mira initially just frowned at Jennie but she immediately followed the direction of her son's hand.

There's someone there.

He wore a black robe and a pointy hat and his face was covered in a black transparent cloth, over time the footsteps of a cloaked man got faster and faster towards him but one of the hands of a cloaked man pointed at Mira and without the woman realizing a strong wind appeared and in an instant was able to drop his seat until he himself fell on the spot and his back head hit the floor of the house.

“Akh!” mira's delayed groaning as she felt her hair being pulled deeper and deeper by the cloaked man.

“Your family will die, but I want you to die first.” spout the terrible creature with a male voice that sounds full of anger and resentment.

“A-what's wrong with me?” tanya Mira moaned in Korean—not intending to respond to the man's statement that he did not understand the truth.

The man reviews the evil smile to Mira and his hand continues to pull deeper into Mira's hair making the woman's head become forcibly attracted.

“I'll kill you.” muttered the man staring fixedly at Mira.

Mira, who was only powerless to look at the man, tried to open her eyes and stared intently and defiantly at the man.

Now all his body was moving trying to release his hand that was shackled with one hand from a man.

“You will die.” muttered the man not far from the word death.

“Mother!” call Jennie shake Mira's shoulder hard trying to keep her mother awake.

Mira's body that Jennie saw seemed to shake and her mother's head kept looking back.

“Mother!”

Mira looked surprised looking at Jennie with her irregular breathing.

“Mother is okay?” jennie asked, pulling her hand from her mother's shoulder.

Mira exhales before she smiles and nods explaining she is fine.

*

Mira sat in a daydream about this morning, she kept asking what was the symbol of this incident? Will something happen to him and his family?

“Mother, good night! I slept first.” said Jennie then closed the door again leaving Mira who was leaning on the living room couch while looking in one direction for some time.

The door of the house was open and showed Dennis' body that was not wearing his suit but it did not make Mira even though just looking at her husband, she just kept silent, daydreaming like before.

“Mira!” call Dennis touching Mira's shoulder.

“You okay?” dennis asked who sounded flat without really wanting to know how his wife was doing.

Mira looked at her husband's cold face.

“If saying that makes you waste your time then no need to ask, I am fine even though my husband lately is not indifferent to me—even not only to me on his son he keeps his distance. What the hell happened to you? Shouldn't I be the one asking you?” mira looked hard at Dennis.

Dennis frowned at hearing words without pause from Mira, indeed he felt if he was far from the environment but Mira should understand the situation in the office that made him depressed. Does Mira think working is just signing and reading the papers?

“I hate you.” Mira muttered out of her seat and left Dennis looking quite surprised to hear Mira's last words.

“Mira.” murmured Dennis looking at his wife's departure, this was the first time he said so and it felt so painful as his heart felt gradually squeezed.

“He thinks only himself has trouble? He thinks I changed why? Huh! Is he the only one who needs calmness and I have to try to understand it when he himself never thought of me.” murmured Dennis with a ringer trying to brush off the thought of apologizing to Mira.

Mira lay sideways and tried to hold back her crying ringing to make her lips shake, while her tears could no longer hold and the clear water had soaked the pillow that Mira used.

“Why is it like this? No matter how much work he should have told me, wasn't he before.” said Mira again pursed her lips.

After the cheeks that had been moistened by Mira's tears now looked dry, Mira had looked quite better and fell asleep with a frown on her forehead indicating she was very uncomfortable going to sleep.

Hyeon Chul looks bored with the game in front of him, he occasionally looks to the right and left want to see if there is a game that is more interesting than this little girl game in front of him.

“Hyeon Chul Oppa! Eoddi kka?” ask the little girl to Hyeon Chul who walked away from her in Korean.

“I'm tired of your game, I want to find another game.” replied Hyeon Chul staring cynically at the long haired girl and tied into two.

It was very clear that the girl in front of him put disappointment on her face who lowered her head to let Hyeon Chul leave her.

“Hei! Hyeon Chul.” call the girl who is far enough beside him.

Hyeon Chul tries to find out who the girl with the shrill voice is, but because so many children there make Hyeon Chul have trouble finding the girl he knows from her voice is Jennie.

“Ish, I'm here.” call the girl once again and run over to Hyeon Chul.

Right Hyeon Chul's guess, it's Jennie. A very talkative and sensitive girl.

“Why are you here?” hyeon Chul asked, staring at Jennie.

Jennie pursed her lips trying to be pitied by Hyeon Chul.

“I don't like home, boring.” reply Jennie stared down.

“Oh, you know? I was also bored with the girl game there, but now I am even more bored when I meet you this.” explained Hyeon Chul trying to evict Jennie from this child shelter.

Jennie glared at Hyeon Chul who was still putting on her cold face.

“Hm, you were ugly like my father last night! Can your cold face be changed by cheerfulness? Why all men if when he is angry his face looks creepy!” jennie's strangulation pinched both of Hyeon Chul's cheeks at the end she said.

Hyeon Chul is shocked and tries to get Jennie's hand off her painful cheek.

“Hei! Stop!” pinta Hyeon Chul before all Jennie's fingers slipped off her cheeks.

“Can I play here?” jennie asked with sparkling eyes and both palms she clenched as if praying.

“Eum, I will allow it if you tell your father last night.” said Hyeon Chul walked slowly and was followed by Jennie.

“I don't really speak Korean.” muttered Jennie looking up at Hyeon Chul's face that was 10 cent higher above her head.

“Tell me the point.” said Hyeon Chul gave a solution without looking at Jennie and kept on going forward.

“Em, I don't know, because the story is long so we have to sit down.” muttered Jennie pulled Hyeon Chul to sit on a long bench beside her.
