CHASING THE LOVE OF THE TEACHER
Papi's Decision (Flashback)

“Better do a general check-up again soon, Rud. Handoyo is worried that your cancer is active again,” said Dr. Raymond in his room.

For the past two weeks, Papi Rudi's body began to be uncomfortable again, easily tired and sometimes experiencing shortness of breath. Some parts of his skin had hives as one of the reactions of lymph cancer he suffered.

“Try regular chemotherapy, Rud. Didn't Handoyo already make a schedule for you.”

“Do I need to see Dr Lee again in Singapore ?” ask papi Rudi.

“I had a chance to contact Dr. Lee and he said you can continue the treatment here. This hospital has received recommendations as their partner.”

“How long should I undergo chemotherapy ?”

“While 6 times in three or four weeks as I recall. If you're ready, we'll discuss it with Handoyo. Don't forget to tell your daughter too, she seemed devastated when she first found out about your illness. Fortunately her future husband always faithfully accompanied and gave support for her.”

“Arjuna is not my son's future husband anymore,” said papi Rudi with a slightly taut tone.

Mr. Slamet laughed at the mixed expression of Papi Rudi's face, between annoyance, grubbiness and embarrassment with the situation of Cilla and Arjuna in class.

“Iya, but not so,” papi Rudi sighed while rubbing his nape.

“Then give them their blessing and marry immediately if they both have agreed to get married in the near future.”

Papi Rudi walked out of the monitoring room and sat back down on the sofa. Mr. Slamet also embraced him and returned to sit opposite.

“Kankerku is back on,” lirih papi Rudi. “And I'm so worried about leaving Cilla alone if something happens to me.”

“Jaga your health well if you still want to accompany Cilla even longer,” said Mr. Slamet with a thin smile.

“And I can assure you that Arjuna is the right choice to be Cilla's husband, to be your daughter-in-law. Although sometimes childish, but Arjuna is a man in charge. His behavior is like that when dealing with Cilla alone. It seems like Arjuna's soul is adjusting to his love,” continued Mr. Slamet while laughing softly.

“How can I be a good husband if you like to show off their closeness in public like in the class earlier,” grumbling papi Rudi makes Mr. Slamet laugh.

“It seems you forgot your behavior on Sylvia first,” ledek Mr. Slamet. “Despite knowing he is much younger than you, but your attitude is quite aggressive. And now it's all sort of repeated back on Cilla.”

Papi Rudi laughed, remembering his good times with mother Sylvia.

“I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you think of Sylvia,” said Mr. Slamet with a guilty face.

“Absolutely not,” papi Rudi shook his head. “I was too busy with my grief at losing Sylvia until I forgot to remember the wonderful things that had happened in my life.”

“And Cilla is the greatest happiness that is before your eyes yesterday, today and tomorrow,”, said Mr. Slamet.

“Ya and I have ignored her for quite a while, letting her grow up alone, until she finally grows up to be a girl who looks strong but is actually fragile.”

“And now let Cilla find her happiness with Arjuna. I'm sure Arjuna will make Cilla no longer lonely and more mature in their unusual way. I'm sure Arjuna will make Cilla a really strong woman not just outside.”

Papi Rudi was speechless and was seen sighing many times while thinking about Mr. Slamet's words.

It seems that all those close to Arjuna and Cilla gave their full support for the two to unite. Even Siska and Rio were also in support despite not directly.

Papi Rudi again let out a long sigh while grabbing his phone and directly pressing the outgoing call to Papa Arman's number.
