Jessy got off the taxi in front of the hospital where Nino was being treated. He brought a basket of fruit that he had bought on the road. With a smile he stepped into the hospital lobby.
The smile engraved on his face did not last long as he passed Rindi. As usual, the attitude of the woman was always cynical to him. Their meeting seemed to upset the woman.
"Where have you been? After a long time it finally looks too," said Rindi.
Although one campus, they rarely meet because of different faculties. There is not even a reason for the two to greet each other if they meet.
Rindi carries the fruit in Jessy's hands. "You brought those fruits to your former maid's son, huh?" tanyakanya.
"It's none of your business, is it?" Jessy responded to the question with a crisp tone. He felt that there was no need to restrain himself with Rindi's treatment of him. He no longer lives with them.
"Well! What kind of work is there until a poor orphan like you can support someone else? I heard that Nino could have surgery because of your help!"
Rindi's words sounded hurtful to Jessy. "Do I have to report to you? Not enough to throw me out of my own house?" jessy ketus said.
He was not interested in continuing their conversation. Arguing with Rindi was a futile matter. Jessy chooses to ignore her cousin's whereabouts and continues in her footsteps.
"Your attention to others is enormous. But my own family doesn't care at all. His uncle is sick as well as the least caring!" sindir Rindi's.
Jessy stopped her steps. He turned to Rindi again. "What do you mean? Sick uncle?" ask Jessy worried. Since his cell phone went missing, he has not contacted his uncle again.
"Well! What kind of niece doesn't know her uncle is sick" Rindi said with a chuckle.
"Say! What's your sick uncle and treated where?" insist Jessy.
Rindi still stared cynically at him. "Follow me if you want to know!" said.
Jessy followed Rindi's steps through the hospital corridor which was quite quiet. Upon arrival at one of the treatment rooms, Rindi told Jessy to go in first.
"Uncle!" exciting Jessy.
He seemed shocked to see his uncle lying limp in bed with an infusion hose attached to his hand. There was also her aunt there who was sitting on the sofa.
"Oh, Jessy ... You coming, son?" the uncle smiled happily when he saw Jessy coming.
In a hurry, Jessy put the fruit she was carrying on the table and hugged her uncle.
"Uncle ..." said Jessy. He shed tears at his uncle's condition. It felt very sad to know the figure of his father's successor lay ill.
"Are you okay? Why don't you ever call this uncle of yours" said the uncle, stroking Jessy's back.
"I guess he forgot he had a family. They may disappear without news. Because you're your uncle to such a pain think of you!" grumbled the aunt.
"Already, don't blame Jessy. I'm sick because I have a disease." The uncle tried to defend Jessy.
"I'm sorry, Uncle. My phone was stolen so everyone's phone number contact was lost. I haven't been able to tell Uncle about a lot of business during the holidays" Jessy said.
"Well! Business? All I know is you're on a vacation abroad with your cheap friend, right? Do not let you come as a person who is not right like him," Rindi said.
"Rindi, don't say anything no about Jessy. He's your cousin!"
"Cousin if deviant should also be advised, Pa! He was close to a child who was often rumored as a college student was not right on campus. He said he likes to sleep with om-om!"
"Asal Papa knows, Pak Dasiran's son, Nino, who is also treated here, they can finance the operation because of Jessy. Where does he have money if his job is right? Working in the cafe too she had stopped!" rindi.
Jessy's cup is heating up. He tried to patiently listen to Rindi's words. The more he listened the more he made it emotional.
"Sorry, Uncle. Instead of making a misunderstanding, I'd better explain it now" Jessy said.
"Yesterday's holiday I did go abroad for a week with my friend. After returning home, I went to my mother's hometown to take care of the remnants of grandmother's possessions. That's why I can help with Nino's lack of medical expenses, Mr. Dasiran's son."
The uncle looked to be frowning. "You ... To your mother's hometown?" tanyanya.
Jessy nodded. "Uncle must not know, right? Mom and Dad rarely go there and almost never talk about it. I contacted Dad's confidant to come there on vacation," he said.
"Thank God that's the story. Uncle thought you were okay because a month did not contact this uncle of yours. If something bad happens to you, Uncle will feel very guilty to your father."
Jessy smiled. "Uncle can calm down now. I am an adult and can take care of myself. So Uncle just needs to focus on maintaining health so as not to get sick," he said.
"Haha ... Maybe it's because I'm old that's why I've been given a disease."
"Then, what disease is Uncle?" ask Jessy.
"Your uncle has arrhythmia, a heart rhythm disorder" said the Aunt.
Hearing that the disease suffered by the uncle was related to the heart, Jessy became increasingly worried. Usually people who have heart disease will be difficult to cure. He was not ready to lose his uncle.
"No need to worry, Jessy. The doctor said he could be cured with therapy and medicine" the uncle said.
"Also have to stop smoking and drinking coffee!" exclaim the Aunt. "In the workplace, most people smoke and drink coffee. Though it has been reminded of the dangers to health but still violated!" grouse aunty.
"Em, Uncle ... I'm going to Nino's room first. I haven't seen her in a long time either" Jessy said.
"Oh, yes, I have. Go, Son!" said the uncle.
"Tomorrow I'll visit Uncle again. Hopefully uncle will get well soon" Jessy said, kissing her uncle's cheek.
"Auntie, Rindi, excuse me first" said Jessy.
"Jessy, wait!" Rindi follows when Jessy will be out of the room. Not to forget he closed the door so that their conversation was not heard by his father.
"You must know, right, the cost of my Papa's treatment will be very expensive? Insurance from the company will not cover all the costs," said Rindi.
"You've got a lot of inheritance. Just helping Mr. Dasiran's family would, when there is no intention to help your own uncle?" ask Rindi.
"Oh, you want me to help you? I thought you'd be mad if I meant to help you, ", Jessy said.
"Disregard our problems first. It's about Papa's disease. If you really care, help with the treatment!"
"certain. I'll help uncle. Just hand over the hospital bills so I can pay them off" Jessy said lightly.
Actually Rindi was very upset to know Jessy got the inheritance. The person he really wanted to get rid of even seemed to be fine.
"If you have spoken like that, in the future I will not hesitate to give you the hospital bill," said Rindi.
"Well, if there's nothing else to talk about, I'll go" Jessy said.
After finishing her conversation, Jessy turns to another part of the hospital where Nino is being treated.
"Excuse me ..," said Jessy as she looked at the door.
"Sister Jessy!" exclaim Nino girang. Mr. Dasiran and his wife are also happy with his arrival.
Jessy treats her three loved ones like her own family.
"Oh, looks like Nino's getting healthier, yeah!" rich Jessy. He is very happy to see Nino's condition is much better than before.
"It's thanks to Jessy. The operation was successful and I will be able to go home in the near future" Nino said with a twinkling eye.
"Congratulations, yes, Nino ... After this you should live healthy. I'll help you register for package C so that you have a high school diploma and can go to college" Jessy said.
"Ouch, Brother. I guess I'm no longer interested in school. Want to just go to work so that you can replace the costs that Sister Jessy has spent," said Nino.
Jessy scowling. "If you really intend to change my money, school used to be high! Because I too after graduation need smart workers. I'll make you work rods so I'll get rich soon! If you are only a graduate of Junior High, most can be a building porter. When can I try rich?" ledek Jessy's.
"Well, Brother! School also costs money. I don't want to trouble anyone." Nino scratched her head.
"Who is bothered. I'm investing in you. After you graduate college, you can think about returning the favor, okay!"
