Chapter 42: Disappointment

Jessy wore a hat and mask as she entered the hospital area. He was worried that someone would recognize him and try to recapture him.

Justin's cell phone number could not be reached. She trusts Mark to see Justin in the hospital. They should have gone to the station today to escape.

Jessy opened the door to room 303. Justin was standing with his left hand wrapped in bandages.

"Jessy!" justin was shocked to see Jessy there.

Jessy ran up to Justin and hugged him. "Why you?" ask Jessy worried.

"I'm fine, just a little sprained," Justin said. He rubbed Jessy's cheek which he had been worried about since last night. "Thank God you're okay. I heard my grandfather's men were looking for you at the boarding house."

"Yes, I'm fine."

Jessy hugged Justin. He did so to atone for the guilt to the man that he had slept with another man last night.

"Yesterday I too was almost caught by my grandfather. Good thing my uncle's men came and brought me here. It was my intention to go to the station to see you" Justin said.

"Justin, are you sure you want to take me away?" ask Jessy to make sure.

Justin frowned. "Why are you asking again? We agreed we'd live our lives together, right?"

"My uncle has prepared a vehicle for us to get out of this town. But, I have to take something from college first."

"What did you leave behind on campus?" ask Jessy.

"The ring that you rejected at that time" Justin said with a smile. It was very valuable to him because it was the first expensive item he bought with his hard work.

Justin held Jessy's hand. "Are you ready to go with me?" tanyakanya.

Jessy nodded. Both wear masks and hats to disguise their appearance. Justin uses Mark's car to take Jessy to campus with him.

"Jess, would you like to come with me to the basketball club or wait here?" justin asked when they reached the campus.

"I'll just wait here" Jessy replied. It prefers to wait in a cool garden and not too many people pass by.

"Alright, don't go anywhere, I'll be right back." Justin runs away from Jessy to where he used to practice basketball. He left his stuff in the locker of the training ground.

"Jessy, are you here?" ask a student who passed by Jessy with two friends. Their gazes looked different when they saw Jessy.

Jessy doesn't know them very well, but it looks like they're from the same faculty as her.

"Jess, are you really the one in the picture?" ask the guy again.

Jessy did not understand the direction of their conversation.

"Maybe he doesn't know yet, Liv," said one of his other friends.

"Yes, it looks like Jessy doesn't know yet" said the other.

"That, Jess. On the faculty is being excited by photos of women similar to you who are making out with Mr. Mark, the husband of Ms. Magda," said Livia.

Jessy was shocked. It seems impossible for the photos of their togetherness to be spread. Mark has also promised not to interfere with his life again.

"I don't think it's Jessy, yeah. The style of dress is very different. The woman in the photo was wearing very old clothes like a cheap woman" Tiara said.

"But her face looks a lot like Jessy's. Said Jessy had been to England with Fika, right?" sahut Risti's.

Livia rounded her eyes. "Jess, you didn't catch Fika as an actor, did you?" tanyanya.

The three people started whispering and gave a strange look to Jessy. It seems they are arguing with the truth of the news.

"What's this about? Why so many?" Justin had just returned after picking up the item he wanted.

"Eh, Justin," said Livia surprised.

"Why are you swarming Jessy?" justin asked with a grim expression.

"Em, sorry, Justin. We just want to straighten out the gossip on our faculty if it's right or wrong" Risti said.

"What rumors?" justin asked in wonder.

"There's a picture of Jessy with your dad, Justin. Everyone is talking about Jessy being Mr. Mark's mistress" Risti replied.

"Justin, we go first, yeah! We had no intention, just wanted to ask" Livia said. He invites his two friends to avoid because he is afraid Justin will be angry.

Jessy was agitated until her hands trembled. He was afraid that Justin would not accept it if what Livia and her friends said was true.

"Jess, say something!"

Justin did not want to believe their words. However, looking at Jessy's nervous voice she felt something was wrong. Jessy didn't want to talk to him.

Jessy's hand was drawn to go with her. He wanted to prove for himself what they said was true or just a rumor.

The atmosphere at the venue of their faculty announcement looked bustling. Justin was worried if the news was true.

"Crazy, yeah! I didn't think Jessy could do that."

"Yes. I thought he was an innocent kid."
