Chapter 53: Meeting the Past

"Danam!"

The attention of the people turned back to the call.

"Daddy ...." Shannon ran over to the man who had just called her. He asked to be carried by the man.

Jessy was again surprised to see the whereabouts of people she had known. Justin's presence there reawakens the memory of his past filled with happiness and sadness.

Justin looks more mature and looks very charming. It would be nice if the man was with a woman as beautiful as Ellena and had a very beautiful daughter as well.

Jessy wants to be happy with the happiness that Justin gets. However, it was undeniable that the other side of his heart he felt sorrow. He was waiting for Justin to be there. When the man finally arrived, he brought his wife and children with him.

"Honey, it was Jessy who found our son" Ellena said.

Justin stepped forward with his blank look. "Oh, so, huh? Thank you," he said in an awkward tone.

"No need to thank me. Everyone will do the same" Jessy said.

Justin only dared to look at Jessy's face. The woman still looks as beautiful as before. Although once betrayed, his old love for Jessy again caused a debate in his heart.

"Em, I want to say goodbye. Soon the office break is over. Nice to meet you guys" said Jessy who immediately left from there.

Ellena looked at Justin. Her face turned sad to see her husband staring so closely at the figure of Jessy who walked away from them. After five years, she felt that her husband still had the same feelings for Jessy.

Justin stood on the balcony of his apartment smoking a cigarette and looked at the atmosphere of the city afternoon. The shadow of Jessy's face when she met him earlier this afternoon was still in her mind.

He thought Jessy had been living happily with her uncle in England. It turned out that the woman was still in the same country as him, in the city they had agreed to live in together.

Justin deepened his cigarette. The uncle's words back in his head.

"Didn't you agree to go together? Jessy has left first to wait for you there. He must still be expecting your presence."

It feels sad to remember the events that have passed. The remnants of the love that once existed for Jessy are of course still stored in her heart. Sometimes there is a sense of regret why they do not have a destiny to be together.

He wondered if his decision at the time was wrong, choosing to continue the match rather than follow Jessy. That woman actually survived in this city for five years.

"Honey ...," call Ellena. He brought two warm teas. One of them he gave to his husband.

Justin has a smile. He immediately switched off the cigarette and dumped his butt on the ashtray. "Thank you" he said, grabbing the cup of tea.

Ellena stood beside her husband enjoying a cup of tea together. His feelings have been restless since noon. He also noticed the attitude of Justin who prefers to be alone and silent after they go home.

"I didn't expect that we would ever see that woman again" Ellena said.

Justin remained silent. She felt uncomfortable hearing Ellena talk about Jessy. He also felt guilty for thinking about other women with his family.

"Can you not talk about it?" pinta Justin sipped tea in his glass.

Ellena smiled bitterly. "I don't want to talk about it either. I don't want to think about your meeting this afternoon. But, it feels like something is stuck in my heart if I don't discuss it with you. I'm afraid your feelings will change after meeting her again" she said.

Justin looked at Ellena. He did not expect his wife to say that in front of him. Ellena's eyes began to glaze over and her gaze became wistful.

Five years ago Justin decided to marry Ellena. He had to kneel before the Russell family apologized and begged for the match to be resumed.

Russell refused Justin's wishes. He was already really disappointed to see Justin bravely bringing another girl on the family show. However, because the soft-hearted Ellena defended Justin, as a father, Mr. Russell could not resist the wishes of his daughter. The marriage finally happened.

During the wedding, Justin tries to accept Ellena's whereabouts beside him. Falling in love again with a woman was not as scary as Justin thought.

Ellena is a kind and loving woman. The days he spent during the wedding were impressive with Ellena. They both enjoy new things and get closer. The birth of Shanon intensified the intimacy between them.

"Why are you worried about such an unimportant thing?" ask Justin.

"Because I know he was once someone important in your life. I'm just worried you'll turn away." Ellena's down. He tried to hold back his tears that almost came out.

Justin took the glass from Ellena's hand. He put the glass and the glass on the table. Ellena's hand she pulled in her arms.

"I'm sorry if it made you worry. I promise I won't leave you and Shanon no matter what. Please, believe me" Justin said.

The bitterness he once felt provided a valuable experience. Justin doesn't want to have a bad marriage like his mother and uncle. It hurts so much when it's cheated. He won't do the same.

Although she has not completely forgotten Jessy, she will never return to him. Jessy will be her past and her regrets. Right now, there are children and wives that he must take care of his feelings.

"If living in this city makes you uncomfortable, how about we just go back? I will cancel the company branch opening plan here" Justin said, rubbing his wife's cheek gently.

Ellena smiled. "You don't have to go that far" he said.

"I just want to make you feel comfortable with me. Don't think about my past. You can, right?" justin Pinta.

Ellena nodded.

"Mommy and Daddy are here? Why was Shanon left alone?" Shanon looked out from behind the door and saw his parents together in the balcony area.

Justin and Ellena looked. They both almost forgot their hearts.

"Oh, Honey, I'm sorry Mommy and Daddy ... Let's go inside again" Ellena asked. He immediately grabbed Shannon's body and carried her.

Shanon leaned his head against Ellena's shoulder. The boy smiled at his father.

Justin returned the smile that Shanon gave. The sweet boy convinced her that he could love Ellena. Shanon exists as a form of love from Justin and Ellena. Justin promised himself he would keep that smile forever.
