DEANNA

DEANNA
Deana-02

Tinah looked up, looking at Togar with a bit of sharpness. "I won't make my daughter a debt-redeeming girl!" he is bold.

"Then pay off your debt immediately!" Togar was no less strict. He was furious because Tinah dared to refute him.

"Give me a month, I'll definitely pay off those debts." Tinah tried to bargain. Togar was silent, his hand rubbing his chin slowly as if he was petting. A minute later, the corner of the man's lips lifted.

"alright. If you can't pay next month, I'll give you two options. Let your daughter be my seventh wife or this house be mine and you please get out of here."

Tinah was silent again, while Deana was holding her mother's shoulder tightly. Togar got up and immediately left the house without waiting for Tinah's answer. In fact, the man just left without excuse.

After Togar's shadow is no longer visible, Deana turns to sit next to her mother. He looked at Tinah's face that was beginning to wrinkle with age. The feeling of not being felt by the girl especially when she saw the mother who was trying to cover her confusion.

"Mom, how's this?" deana asked without cutting her eyes to her mother.

"Later think, De. I hope there is unexpected sustenance." Tinah tried to calm Deana's heart even though she realized that it was just a sedative sentence.

"Mom, mother's debt is not just one two million, but ten million. We can't get that kind of money in a month. Moreover, Dea just quit work." Deana looks so frustrated. No longer know what to do. His mind is completely dead-end. "Let Deana be Bang Togar's wife, Ma'am, and our debt will be paid off" she concluded.

"No! I don't want you to marry Bang Togar let alone pay off the debt. You're a good woman and you have pride, De!" Tinah refused firmly, even the voice of the woman slightly raised. He would not be willing if Deana really married a man he already knew his vices.

"But, ma'am, if Dea is not married to Bang Togar, this house will be confiscated. Where will we live? Poor Rangga, Mom." Both of Deana's eyes began to look teary. In fact, such clear circles forced to come out of every corner of the girl's eyes.

After her daughter's departure, Tinah massaged her temple to relieve the sudden headache. The middle-aged woman felt so sorry that she had borrowed money from Togar, but at that time she was so desperate. He had to pay Rangga's tuition, while Deana was rushed to the hospital due to typhus.

Almost overnight Deana could not fall asleep because of the thought of the debt bill to Togar. He simply stared at the ceiling of the room with a distant glaring mind. Suddenly tears trickled down from both corners of his eyes as the shadow of the father, who was now going nowhere, came over. He would never forget even though he was only ten years old.

"De, I want to make money in the city. You're at home with mom and you have to promise to be a good kid, yeah."

"When are you going home?"

"If you have money, you will go home."

Deana's tears flowed more and more as the longing to see the father's face so disturbed her heart. "Does Dad have a lot of money? Why don't you come home?" deana's muttering interrupted his sobbing.

The girl folded her lips trying to dampen her cries so as not to harden. He did not want to until Tinah or Rangga heard the sobbing.

However, the cry instantly subsided and Deana suddenly became nervous as the door was knocked and Tinah's voice called her name. Deana did not say the least, let alone open the door. Let the mother continue to call and if it is tired later, surely the woman will assume that she has fallen asleep.

Sure enough, the knocking stopped and there was a slowly moving step away. Deana rubbed her chest while exhaling a sigh of relief. She wiped the tears back until they were completely dry and flipped over and hugged the roll tightly. In his heart he hopes that tomorrow there will be a solution to his problem.
