Destiny of the Substitute Bride

Destiny of the Substitute Bride
33. Not Same Again.

Since the first meeting with Maria, Bella and Noah's relationship that can be said to be improving is now back strained. The man was always angry and assumed all the homework Bella did was wrong.

Bella thought Maria's arrival was the first and last time. However, this estimate is wrong. The woman came back to visit Noah in the apartment twice.

Although Noah's attitude when welcoming Maria feels very cold, but Bella can see clearly the longing that is present in the eyes of the man.

Noah was simply trying to refrain from lowering his pride in front of Maria.

Sure enough, during the month of reconnecting with Maria, the distance between Noah and himself grew increasingly distant.

Noah never again took Bella home or shopped at the supermarket together. He even only had three lunches in the cafeteria where he worked.

His attitude at home was even colder.

Bella, who initially tried to accept Maria's presence, now began a rebellion. The woman firmly asked Noah to no longer see Maria.

Instead of complying, Noah even sparked a fight with him.

"Bell, are you daydreaming? Your face is a little pale." Peter touches Bella's shoulder, who appears to be daydreaming in the barn doorway. The girl had just finished mopping and sweeping the warehouse in place of their friend who had not entered work today.

"Eh, sorry, Pet. You wanna go inside?" bella was surprised.

"It was, but I went to the kitchen right away. Emm, can I just ask you a favor, Bell?" peter said he was not feeling well.

"Of course, I'll bring it to the kitchen." Bella smiles.

"But, are you really okay?" Peter makes sure Bella's condition is not as healthy as usual. Understandably, since the arrival of Maria, the girl became sleep deprived. He often quarreled with Noah.

Although Mary once said that her presence was purely for making friends as friends, there was still a feeling of fear that bound her heart.

"Yes, I'm so good. So, what can I do?"

"Ahh, okay!" Peter mentions some necessary foodstuffs to Bella. After he finished mentioning it, Peter hurried off to leave Bella.

"Lunch today, first floor makes—"

"I want to eat out!" cut Noah cold.

Celine nodded. Again Noah refused lunch in the first-floor cafeteria.

"We don't eat in the cafeteria anymore, sir?" ask Celine carefully.

"I wouldn't die if I didn't eat there!" sahut Noah ketus's.

Celine quietly sighed. Noah's mood in the last few weeks is indeed looking worse. He who had been soft is now back to acting annoying. Celine even had to strongly hold back, so as not to get carried away.

Just as the two were about to exit Noah's room, suddenly a figure of Maria appeared there.

Noah was surprised. He asked her what Maria was coming to the office. In any case, Noah did not want any rumors to spread inside his company.

"I happened to be passing by, so I decided to stop by for a while," replied Maria kindly. "Emm, looks like my arrival wasn't on time huh?" he continued when he saw Noah and Celine preparing to leave.

Mary looked at her watch. "Ahh, you must want to have lunch. I haven't had lunch either. How about we both go eat together?" Shamelessly Maria offers to take Noah out.

Without inviting Celine, the woman also gently pulled Noah's hand towards the elevator.

"Looks like that woman looks familiar?" celine muttered as she continued to stare at their departure.

When the two have just exited the first floor elevator, Noah accidentally runs into Bella who is having trouble pulling three gallons of dispenser alone.

The girl was indeed asked to drive three gallons to the tenth floor, as they ran out of drinking water.

Bella's eyes suddenly widened when she found the figure of Maria there. Bella hastily covered her face with a hat to keep Maria from recognizing herself.

As if he did not know, he walked past Noah.
