"Sa, am I dreaming?" whispered Alisha while glancing towards Dev at a glance.
"I don't know, I don't understand either." Safira took Alisha's hand. The two begin to enter the parlor, while Dev walks behind them.
Several pairs of eyes stared at Dev, then whispered indistinctly. They pretend to do nothing if Dev stares at them.
After handing over all his luggage, Safira and his friends immediately resigned to the Mother of the home. As for Dev, he instead stepped into the living room in the parlour.
"I'm sorry, Mom, I just brought this, please accept," Dev said, then handed over some pink money to the mother.
The mother accepted the home and thanked Dev as much as possible. Because after all, this money is very valuable to them.
After doing his secret mission, Dev immediately resigned. The man looked over and remembered the name of the orphanage.
"Come, we go home, brother," said Safira who was waiting for Dev. While his other friends had gone home first and immediately went for a walk together.
"We're going to the main house." Dev got into the car and went back into a thousand languages.
Half an hour's drive. Dev and Safira are in the main courtyard of the Pranata family residence. The two got out of the car and walked towards the main door.
"Sister Dev." Davin runs towards Dev and also Safira. Without a second thought, he immediately hugged his big brother's straight body.
"Sister Dev brought something for me?"
Dev smiled then slightly lowered his head. Davina's brow was full of affection, as an older sister.
"Gift for you" he said, smiling at his sister.
"Thank you, sister," replied Davina excitedly. The girl ran up the stairs to her father and mother's room. Meant to inform about the arrival of Dev and Sapphira.
A few minutes later, Aldy and Jessica descended the stairs simultaneously. The two smiled happily as they saw Dev and Sapphira sitting together in the living room.
"Mom, Dad." Sapphira stood up and kissed the back of Aldy's and Jessica's hands in turn. Similarly to Dev, the man did the same as what Sapphira did.
"Sit down, son," said Jessica, smiling at Dev and Safira.
"How are Mom and Dad?" ask Dev. The man smiled again as Aldy and Jessica stared at him.
"We're good too, ma'am," Safira answered representing Dev.
"Mom, Dad, Sapphira took a moment back," he continued, then came out of the living room. Sapphira walked to the kitchen to get some water, because honestly, she was still embarrassed to ask the waiter to just take a drink.
"Dev, how are you and Sapphira?" ask Jessica. Dev was silent for a while, then looked towards Aldy and Jessica.
"I've considered her like my own sister, it's very difficult to replace Rara with Safira. I still can't, Mom," explained Dev and bowed.
Aldy and Jessica exhaled at the same time. Both of them try to understand what Dev is feeling. However, they also did not have the heart of Sapphira, a woman who should have been considered a wife, but only considered a sister by their child.
"The drink is coming" Safira said with her cheerful face. The woman carried a tray containing two glasses of orange juice, and two glasses of cold water.
"Why not just ask the waiter, son?"
"Hehehe, Safira felt bad, Mom," Safira replied and sat down next to Dev.
"Dev, come with Dad, there's something I want to talk to you about" Aldy said, standing up. "It's about business, son," he continued.
Dev got up and immediately followed Aldy's steps to the top floor.
"Sa, I'm sorry, Mom," Jessica said as Dev and Aldy were completely out of the living room.
"It's okay, Mom. Safira is fine."
"What about your hand?" Jessica grabbed Safira's hands, her countenance suddenly changed when she saw the scars on her palms and the back of her daughter-in-law's hands.
"It's okay, Mom. Safira is fine" Safira smiled.
"I'm sorry, Mom."
"Mom doesn't have to apologize like that. I'm not wrong."
Jessica smiled again, really, it was this trait that made Jessica convinced, that Safira could restore their old Dev. And all is evident now, their old Dev is back, though not yet fully.
