Little Hope

Dev stared at the bowed Sapphira. The girl rolled up the end of the shirt she was wearing, with a face expression that could not be deciphered anymore.

"How, Sa? The decision is in your hands, son," said Mr. Aiman, Safira's father.

"Sa-Safira wants to, Safira wants to marry Kak Dev."

Safira raised her head then looked towards Dev who was also staring towards her.

'Yes, God...Hopefully what we do is not wrong and does not have a bad impact on Dev or Safira later.' Inner Jessica prayed.

"Thank God. We'll take care of everything. The wedding will take place in one week" Aldy told Mr. Aiman Dirgantara and also Mrs Aiman Dirgantara.

"I still can't believe it, sir. It feels like a dream for our family" replied Mistress Aiman, who was still in disbelief, that Devano would marry her youngest daughter Safira.

"Don't be like that, Madam." Jessica held the back of Lady Aiman's hand. Then smiled at the middle-aged woman.

After talking about marriage. Aldy, Jessica and Devano resign to Safira's family. Safira escorted Jessica to the main gate. The girl continued to pay attention to Devano's extremely confused facial expression, and could not be interpreted by him.

"Sa, forgive Auntie," whispered Jessica as Safira hugged herself.

"It's okay, Bi. Sapphira will try to melt the heart of Brother Dev, may God make it easy," replied Safira and let go of her embrace. He kissed the backs of Aldy's hands and Jessica's hands in turn.

"Davina! What the hell happened to you?" Dev ran down the stairs. He embraced his brother who walked in stammering.

"God! What's this?!" asked Dev with a flushed face.

"I-I, I'm really not wrong Brother. That kid is wrong. He kicked the ball in my face! Until I lost my balance and fell down" Davin answered truthfully.

Dev just let out a slow breath, then walked towards his room to pick up the medicine box.

"Yes, God. What's going on, son?" Jessica walked up to Davin and looked at his injured son's knee, even the pants that Davin was wearing were cut to the limit of his wound.

"How many times did you say! Don't ride the bike! Don't ride the bike! You're deaf or something!" sahut Dev then crouched down and cleaned the wound of the younger brother.

Aldy and Jessica stared at each other. For a long time they hadn't heard Dev nagging at Davin, his sister.

Davin looked at Dev who was still faithfully cleaning and treating his wounds. The girl raised her head then looked towards Aldy and Jessica.

"It's a great start, ma'am." That's what Davin's eyes meant to Jessica. Jessica immediately smiled, instead she was happy on top of her daughter's suffering. But he was happy because their Dev changed a little.

Dev straightens Davin's leg. And in the next minute, the man lifted Davin's body up the stairs, towards the girl's room.

Davin looked at Dev's face. Although the face was not smiling anymore, and still in cold research. But this made Davin's heart cry out in joy.

"Love you, don't do anything to hurt you. If you're hurt, it's the same as you hurting Brother, Father and Mother. You are the precious daughter we have" Dev said, laying Davin on his bed.

"Sister Dev?"

"Hmm." Dev looked at the sister.

"Thank you" said Davin smiling.

"For what? You're my sister, part of my life, you're my daughter's master, the precious thing of my life. So you don't have to thank me. And it should be, I'm the one apologizing for never paying attention to you again lately" Dev replied at length.

"Rest, Brother will ask the waiter to deliver dinner for you," Dev continued, then came out of Davin's room and walked straight to the main kitchen.

Dev asks the butler to deliver dinner for Davin. She also ordered warm milk for her sister.

"Honey, I hope our Dev will smile brightly again soon." Jessica glanced at Aldy. The man was also staring at his son who had just walked out of the main kitchen.

"I hope so. And hopefully her marriage to Sapphira will help change everything."

Aldy grabbed Jessica by the waist, then took the woman to the dining room, to have dinner with Dev.
