Don't Blame the Line of Destiny
Chapter 8: Caught

As promised, they will meet at the school park where the deal was delivered by Zegran. Hana went straight to the destination after returning from the library and saw the figure in the shade tree.

"Sorry, I'm a little late" Hana said apologizing.

“Quiet, you don't make me have to wait,” replied Zegran. Before long, he pulled out a white envelope from his school uniform. Hana knew right away, it was the money from their deal.

"Enough the money?" ask Zegran. Hana immediately looked at the contents then nodded quickly.

"Yes" answered Hana.

Kni, their business is done. What Zegran wants he has got, as well as Hana who has got what he has promised. Therefore, Zegran decided to leave the place immediately before anyone saw the whereabouts of the two of them. However, he is held back by Hana who suddenly pulls her hand.

"Wait a minute,” said Hana. His hand held Zegran's.

"I'm still confused. Why are you doing this?" he continued with confusion.

Zegran is known as a smart kid in the classroom. Not only that, his father who works as a lawyer while his mother a doctor makes him respected and abused by many people in his school. Why Zegran should do this, that's what he thought.

"Then, I'm still confused. Why did you accept this deal?" Instead of answering, he asked the question he should have answered.

"Why are you asking back?" ask Hana confused.

There was no reply from either side, making the atmosphere awkward and cold. The two people look at each other trying to find where the answer is trying to save it. Then, Zegran began to open up a new topic.

"Oh yes. I'm tired of schoolwork. Can you do that for me?" ask her in a slightly firm tone.

"Your job?" Hana's confused. Is this another deal, he thought.

"Yes, I'll pay you anyway" said Zegran. Hana was not surprised anymore because she knew where they were going.

"alright. I'll do that" he replied directly.

It is true what people say, the first experiment was difficult. But after that it will feel easier. Hana no longer hesitated to accept the deal again. It is because of the money. Were it not for the money, he would not have been willing to do things that could have been a problem for him.

The whole school was a silent witness for them. Places that are considered far from the crowd have been used as a place of transaction. Many times Hana also accepted the deal made by Zegran. However, we can hide the fire but not the smoke. Gradually, their transactions were kissed by others. One day, Hana's name was picked by Mr. Beni, her homeroom teacher.

"Hana, Mr. Beni called you in the room BK,” said the student.

"I?" Hana's confused. Why was his name suddenly called by his homeroom teacher. Not only that, he had to meet his homeroom teacher in the BK room where the place was famous as a room for troubled students.

"Yes, Mr. Beni is waiting for you there" explained the student.

"Alright then" replied Hana. Even though his heart felt an uneasy feeling, he headed straight to where Pak Beni was. He didn't want to make his homeroom wait for his arrival.

"Why was he called?" ask the student. Unfortunately, the student just shook his head not knowing. Now, Hana has arrived at the BK room. And sure enough, Mr. Beni was waiting for him there.

"Let's go in, Hana," said Mr. Beni telling the person he was looking for to enter the room.

Hana immediately sat on the sofa that was there while looking at Mr. Beni who was already looking at her with a sharp gaze. His breathing began to weigh heavily, it seemed like he knew what his homeroom class would be discussing. But he tries to think positively. Surely his homeroom class called him not because of the deal, he thought.

"Why did you call me here?" ask Hana.

"I heard you were close to Zegran, huh?" Hana's heart stopped moving. He was increasingly worried if he was called because of the deal they had done together.

"We're just my friends, sir. So, you can't say so familiar yet" replied Hana who tried to calm down. Mr. Beni nodded slowly. However, it made Hana feel awkward.

"Why do you ask that?" ask Hana.

"Zegran's mother reported that there was a lot of money being withdrawn from Zegran's account. I get scared if she gets blackmailed by her friends.” Hana was immediately shocked to hear that. Whether his secret with Zegran has reached the ears of the school, whether after this he will be punished for the deal, that is what disturbs Hana's mind to the point of not being strong enough to speak out.

"You didn't blackmail him, did you?" ask Mr. Bani. Hana fell silent, she was afraid of how she should answer the question. However, Mr. Beni approached Hana while showing her phone screen.

"There was someone who posted this photo on the school's online forum" Mr. Beni said.

Mr. Beni immediately showed me a photo from his phone screen. Hana became really shocked after seeing the photo. Someone had photographed him receiving money from Zegran, who looked as if he was extorting money from Zegran.

"You have to explain everything, Hana," said Mr. Beni. Hana did not answer and chose to silence. It made her homeroom teacher an emotion.

"I'm here as your teacher. I want to solve this problem well. So, please explain everything,” said Mr. Beni.

He really held back his anger.

Hana was still doubtful about her choice, whether she should be honest or not. If he chooses to be honest, things will get more complicated. He will be taken in and so will Zegran. However, if he chooses to remain silent, he will be suspected of having extorted money belonging to Zegran. Hana was silent for a long time. It made Mr. Beni who had been patiently waiting for him to be burned by the fire of anger.

"Stay sitting there until you want to explain everything,” he said with annoyance. Mr. Beni with emotion decided to leave Hana.

"Wait, Sir!" jeremy Hana. His face was sweating profusely, his eyes were reddened from holding back the water that had been dammed.

"I'll tell you everything!" Hannah chose to be honest. He had no choice but to tell her everything. He tried to lower his anger. After that, Mr. Beni again sat in front of Hana and waited for his student to explain everything.

"We did a deal, sir,” Hana said in a trembling tone.

"Deal?" Hana told me everything about the deal they did without leaving a single bit.
