    Oei Ing Kiat was appointed Duke of Lasem in 1727, titled Tumenggung Widyaningrat. Although of Chinese descent, but Oei Ing Kiat get support from the indigenous population. This one Duke of Lasem is a figure of Chinese descent, but he became a Muslim figure in Lasem. That is what makes the people of Lasem support his struggle. Oei Ing Kiat who by the people of Lasem better known as Tumenggung Widyaningrat, managed to lead Lasem with full justice, so that the community felt very diayomi. Oei Ing Kiat was a generous leader, just, persistent against the invaders and became a devout Muslim. When leading Lasem, the duke nicknamed Tumenggung Widyaningrat managed to unite the strength between the Chinese and the indigenous people at that time.

    During his life, Oei Ing Kiat was very close to Raden Panji Margono and Kiai Baidlawi. They talked about the Dutch colonial problem. Especially after the events of Geger Angke in Batavia, the burning of the pacinan area in Batavia by the Dutch Company in 1740, many Chinese immigrants who came to Lasem to evacuate. Tumenggung Widyaningrat had predicted that the Dutch attack would spread to Central Java and East Java. Because the Dutch Company will pursue the Chinese who fled.

    And the assumption of Widyaningrat Tumenggung was true. The Dutch began to move east towards the northern part of Java. Dutch Company forces attacked towns on Java's North Coast. Including the Lasem area. There was a revolt against the Dutch Company by a joint Javanese-Chinese force of the people of Lasem. They raised three leaders of fighters, namely Raden Panji Margono, Oei Ing Kiat or better known by the nickname Tumenggung Widyaningrat, and Tan Kee Wie. The fighters from Lasem are known as "Dampo Awang Warriors".

    Dampu Awang comes from Sanskrit, which is from the word dang and puhawang which means a revered skipper. The nickname Dampu Awang is given to people who have a great passion for guarding, protecting, and advancing maritime. Formerly, the first time the nickname Dampo Awang was given to Sie Ba Ha, by the people of Lasem called Sibaha. Sie Ba Ha is a descendant of Kie Seng Dhang, a sailor from Yunan. This Sie Ba Ha is the sister of Sie Ma Ha. Furthermore, Sie Ma Ha became the famous queen, Queen Shima, the ruler of the Kingdom of Kalingga. While his brother became a Sea Admiral who was not defeated by anyone. The nickname Dampo Awang was first given to the great master who was very feared and respected by all kingdoms, namely Sibaha.

    Furthermore, because of the persistence and strength in maintaining the waters of Lasem and its surroundings, then Oei Ing Kiat or which by its people is better known by the nickname Tumenggung Widyaningrat, then the Duke of Lasem, Tumenggung Widyaningrat earned the title of Dampu Awang as an honor to secure the perariran Rembang, Lasem to Tuban. His army was called Laskar Dampo Awang.

    This army of Laskar Dampo Awang from Lasem is very powerful. At first managed to expel the Dutch Colonial invaders and control the city of Rembang. But when Laskar Dampo Awang Lasem attacked Jepara, they suffered defeat and were beaten back by the Dutch.

    Upon hearing news from the fighters who returned to Lasem that Raden Panji Margono and Tan Kee Wie were killed on the battlefield against the Dutch, Oei Ing Kiat was furious. He immediately advanced to the field of action leading the Army of Laskar Dampo Awang and the people of Lasem against the Netherlands. But unfortunately, Tumenggung Widyaningrat aka Oei Ing Kiat was shot and killed in the war against the Dutch company. His body was buried at the top of Mount Bugel. This cemetery is further known as the tomb of Dampo Awang.

    Friday night Kliwon, right in the middle of the night, in the sky of Mount Bugel there is a beam of very bright light, like a fire torch flying from the sky. Directions from the southwest. A kind of meteor that fell to the earth, but it looks very clear and large. It crossed very fast, and fell on the top of Mount Bugel.
