Eternal Ice

Eternal Ice
Chap.4 "Strange Dream"

"Father! Papa! Happy birthday, papa! Alice has made a cake for papa!" A 5-year-old little girl was seen running towards the sapphire blue-eyed man who was in line with her, while carrying a plate containing pieces of cake.

The voice of the dear princess was heard coming into his ears, making the man called 'papa' divert his attention from the book being read. He got up from his chair and squatted down in front of his daughter. Her hands gently rubbed Alice's golden blonde hair, which was exactly the same as the woman she loved. Both corners of her lips lifted, a smile expanding on her face. "You made it for papa? Papa sure, it must taste good."

The praise he said made Alice happy, he chuckled as he put the blueberry fruit that he deliberately put on the cake as a decoration, into the mouth of the father using his tiny hands. Naturally, the white-haired man who was crouching before him smiled warmly at him.

Alice was shocked and worried to see her father turn his face and shut his mouth as he fed her the next piece of chocolate.

"Pa-papa, is Alice's chocolate bad? Alice made it according to my mother's recipe." Now that the little girl felt guilty, her gaze was downcast, both her hands were squeezing firmly into the clothes she was wearing. Soon he will cry, it is certain that the father of this child will get a million scolding from his wife.

"Mom-not that, baby, this chocolate you made is the equivalent of what mom made." His father calmed the princess.

"Let's celebrate with Mama." He lifted up his son's body and clasped it, the small plate that Alice had brought earlier was now held by him.

Step by step was heard coming down the stairs of so many towers. They both intend to celebrate their beloved emerald green-eyed birthday.

...----------------...

Bianca is picking bluebells in the front garden of the tower, she wants to make a bouquet of them for today.

"Mama!!"

"Bianca."

The sound of two people who are very recognizable her smooth in her ears, like the sound of birds chirping in the morning that always makes comfortable.

"Mama, mama! Do you remember what day it was?" Alice asked excitedly, her eyes twinkling as if shooting hundreds of stars towards her mother. "Of course, baby, how could you forget your birthday?" Bianca ruffled Alice's hair.

"Bianca, look at our daughter, she's been trying to make me a birthday cake. Alice knows how old you are?" The man holding Alice spoke to Bianca.

"Alice knows! Papa is eight!!" Alice pointed at the candle in the shape of an infinite symbol that was placed on the cake. He had seen it in the book if the emblem showed something that would not end, but the plain Alice thought that it was the number eight.

"Haha"

......................

Alice wriggled in her sleep, before long she opened her eyes. I could not believe that I could sleep well on a cold surface. After finishing at the life gathering stage, his sapphire bead stared around. Looking for her best friend's entity that has now disappeared. Eric was supposed to be sleeping in a strange position facing the outside door of the cave.

"Wake up, princess of sleep? I thought you'd sleep forever before the handsome prince saved you." The new baritone voice appeared as it dug into his ear. Who else if not the warrior lord we could say was the most confident human he saw.

"Sleeping princess you said, huh? So what happens when you sleep all day? You're switching jobs as a sleeping prince?" Alice quipped. "You killed a deer? Isn't that already forbidden by the palace?" The question is immediately thrown from Alice's mouth after seeing a dead deer being carried by Eric.

"I never cared about rules. Besides, you want to starve to death here?" Eric said without turning his head, his hands were busy lighting fires using magic.

Alice sighed softly, then took out the sun magician's book from her bag. The figure of the snow-white-haired man and the sapphire blue eyes called 'papa' in his dream was very curious.

'I'm sure this book holds all knowledge of magic' Inner Alice, her hands opening one by one.

Her blue eyes were festering, her hands were shaking while reading the information sheet about the ice mage. Suddenly Alice remembered the sapphire gem brooch owned by her father given uncle Theo

'This brooch may not have any benefits on your trip. But my magic instinct says I have to give this to you'

Alice reached into her bag, the beautiful brooch with a sapphire blue gemstone was glowing and took out mana.

"Hey, what is that thing that glows? Don't you find a magic artifact and not tell me?" Eric's golden eyeballs looked at Alice, curious about the glowing light.

"It's nothing, I'm just playing with magic." Alice lied, that brooch is definitely an extremely rare magic artifact. The auction price alone can certainly change life into a king.

The witch who lives eternally.

With the heart frozen like ice.

A legend that lives aloof like a white tiger that separates itself from its herd.

Her hair was as white as snow and her eyes were bluer than the ocean.

He is the eternal ice wizard.

Alice was stunned for a moment when reading it, the same description as seen in her dreams. Hm? Is possible?

"What book is this? Ancient letters? I just found out that your new hobby is reading an old book that explains something silly." Eric took the sun witch's book forcibly and read it a little.

"Return!" Alice pulled Eric by the hand, but Eric had already raised the book up high.

"No way, before you tell me what our journey has to do with this book." Eric said that every word he spoke contained the element 'want to know but didn't want to admit'.

Alice snatched the book from Eric's hand as Eric let her guard down, he sighed for a moment while speaking inwardly.

'I feel a bit sorry I've invited him' inwardly.

"This book is an ancient thing. Obviously because it is written based on the original ancient grammar in antiquity, plus some of the pages are yellowed. Most likely a magic spell was instilled in this book to preserve its durability, considering the original ancient language had been extinct since hundreds of years ago. Now explain to me where you got this book." Eric spoke at length. Inevitably, in the end Alice explained everything.

"Old grandfather owner of an antique market shop? As far as I know the magic antique shop that got permission directly from the palace to operate is just the one that Lydia's aunt owns." Said Eric who was now cool eating venison.

"The shop is illegal, every antique shop must have a license from the palace attached to the wall in the store. That old grandpa's shop doesn't have it." Alice put the book back in her bag and went to eat the venison that had been cooked by Eric using magic fire.

"How can you trust a dark wizard's grandfather like him?" Eric asked back. This curiosity was many times more than his curiosity for his biological mother.

"Okay, I think this book does state the truth.”
