Eternal Ice
Chap.6 "Feeling Inside"

"Aahaha!! So, you guys got attacked by Aine just because of a misunderstanding? Haha." Aidric burst into laughter while at the dinner table. Of course, this annoying action was rewarded with elbow slumps by Aine. Sometimes this twin acts clueless.

Eric's wounds had already undergone a bit of healing with the help of bandages. As an apology, Aine and Aidric invited them to breakfast together at the castle. Since this was a 'free' banquet then Alice accepted it gladly. Meat and soup, the most perfect combination in the morning, are as appetizing to hungry people as they are. It is not unusual if Eric only fell silent cold when various delicious dishes were presented before his eyes. But this time, he just silently stared at the grudge while tightly grasping the fork.

"I'm sorry for how I treated you, eat all these dishes." Aine invited the two of them to eat.

Alice picked up the fork and the knife next to the plate, stuck the fork in the meat and cut it slowly with a knife. The first brew, the taste can be said to be quite 'unique' for the taste of roast meat.

"Ekhem." Alice cleared her throat commenting, her face forced to look fine.

'Jeez...the black pepper! This meat is even more spicy than curry! Hiks...My tears are almost out!!' Alice cried out in torment in her heart. Now he realized that the spiciness level of Georgian-made curries was not too bad to consume.

"Sad." Eric grumbled unhappily as he turned his face away. The condition of the fork he grasped almost entered the 'sad' stage'.

'That fork will break for a long time! Hey, can't you pretend to be nice in front of them? Are you not satisfied with the wound on your hand? You want them to go further against us?' Alice stomped on Eric's feet and stared at him intensely, trying to signal him with a gaze to change his behavior.

Eric sighed, then picked up the spoon next to the plate and began to eat the soup. It felt saltier than the soup he used to eat, but the turbulent hunger in his stomach preceded the opinion of his tongue.

"What healers are you looking for in this mountain? If it's an ordinary disease healer, there's probably plenty out there." Aine started the conversation, this overwhelming awkwardness made it uncomfortable.

Alice took the book from her sling bag, then said, "The healer we are referring to is this flower. This book is an original historical record of the legendary Sun Witch who lived more than a thousand years ago, there is a sheet that says that the golden flower has extraordinary healing power, so I thought of looking for him."

Aine's eyebrows shot up next to her, five seconds later she looked at Aidric. After a while of digesting Alice's words, they looked back to the front. "We are indeed direct descendants of the Fire Witch, father taught everything about the Sun Witch down to the basics. But we've never heard of the flower you said." Aidric explained accompanied by a nod from Aine who was crossing her arms in front of her chest.

"Ck, that's weird. The flower has a positive mana energy that will not have a bad impact. Perhaps your understanding is too poor to understand what is being taught." Eric raised his voice, whether he intended to defend or worsen the situation. But clearly now he has ignited the fire of his interlocutor's anger.

A fierce glint struck between Eric and Aidric's eyes, both of them glaring as eagle-sharp, intimidating squabbles to knock each other down.

"Eric! What the hell are you doing?! You're making the relationship with them a mess! We may die before we reach our destination! Hurry up, apologize!" Alice whispered while pinching Eric's arm. The frontal cablek and his spicy mouth have dropped a big bomb here.

Aine only snorted a little before speaking, that 'stupid' mockery was not too influential compared to the word 'ugly'. Indeed, he had fewer cold heads than his twin.

"Of course, we really don't know anything about what you're looking for. But we know how to help..."

____________

"You know Uncle Aeolus? The storm witch who lives in the north? Yes, he was a disciple of the Sun Witch who inherited and mastered the wind magic element directly. He was also one of the five legendary disciples of the Sun Witch. Maybe he knew about the flower."

Eric had been silent since the quarrel with the fire twins. His golden eyes darkened indicating that his mood was bad. Strange, very strange. Being attacked until his hand was injured alone had already made him this cold, what was the news of the incident two years ago that left him injured his entire body?

"You're still upset about that one?" Alice said without looking at Eric. Honestly, he was still upset by Eric's attitude that sparked the problem.

"Hm." Eric answered briefly.

"It's you, too, who told you to push me away all of a sudden?" Alice kicked her friend's leg until Eric lost his balance.

"What's? You're not happy I saved?" Eric replies, I don't know what happened, his voice shakes a little.

"It's not like that, what you're doing is heroic. However, it contains a thousand values of spontaneity and recklessness that prove to hurt yourself." Alice massaged her temples, the effects of sleep deprivation her mother had told her were real.

"I'm two seconds late, your body will burn." Eric sharpens his accent firmly on his tone of speech.

"Two seconds is enough to make a protective veil, Eric." Not to be outdone, Alice emphasized every word she said.

"..................... " Eric was silent, looking at Alice at a glance and then looking forward again.

"I've been wondering for a long time about this, why do you always care and like you're going to do anything when I'm in trouble?" Alice looked at Eric. Her sapphire blue iris was glaring at Eric's golden eyeball.

"Because you're my best friend." Eric looked away at the sky.

"Georgia, Lyvia, Damian and Lucas are also your best friends, right? You've never been that way to them." Alice continued to provoke Eric, curious about the real answer.

"They're not my best friends, especially weird women who like men much older than him." Eric said while insinuating Georgia.

"Ck, Damian and Lucas are the closest people to you. I wonder if if I tell them this, they'll-"

"Because you're a special person to me." Eric answered, cutting off Alice's words with his reddened ears.

"Huh?" Alice did not understand.

"Forget that!!" Eric quickened his pace ahead of Alice, eventually his face turning red like a boiled crab.

"What's wrong with her?"
