EVERNA Arcel Raine's

EVERNA Arcel Raine's
Chloe Hewitt

This time, Arcel Raine wakes up on the only bed in a room. It was actually a hotel room in District Twelve, a slum district where criminals, community trash and real trash shared space.

But of course Arcel did not know about the Centronia, both the structure and the distribution of the population, even all the modern trinkets that adorn this room.

Arcel was about to wake up, but his entire body was still sore from the fist-punching storm Brian Storm last night. Forced he decided to just sit on the bed while observing his surroundings.

This room that Arcel occupied looked very strange. The walls, ceilings, floors and beds were filled with a combination of pink and old. Glass cabinets in the corner of the room are pink, as well as tables and chairs are oddly shaped, rounded like a heart shape.

The most interesting thing for Arcel was a thin rectangular box attached to one of the walls. There are moving pictures, also the voices of people and music takes place in “magic box” it.

Still Arcel's mind does not stop wondering. Who brought him to this strange place? Last he remembered, he and a girl named Chloe were running to the big road, then Arcel fell limp in the middle of the road. Chloe heals some of Arcel's wounds with magic and the patient is refreshed.

But as soon as Arcel and Chloe enter a building that reads “LOVE MOTEL” big-tinted pink glow over the entrance, Arcel falls unconscious again.

Eventually, Arcel found himself bathed and lying quietly in bed. Suddenly he gasped, then looked under his blanket and sat down, “Gosh! Who has changed my pants with these tight but comfortable shorts?! Don't-don't..!”

Looking to the right and left again looking for someone, Arcel heard the sound of shower water from the door right in front of his bed. Never knew the word “bathroom” before, he stepped near the door.

But Arcel gasped. What he saw next was the silhouette of a woman standing up and holding up, rubbing every part of her body. The curves of his body are clearly visible, making Arcel's face meet red like a ripe tomato. From the incident, Arcel concluded that the woman must be bathing and he intended to wait in bed.

Shortly thereafter, Chloe Hewitt was seen running away from the bathroom wearing only a towel that was wrapped around her synthetic body. While drying her long green hair with a second towel, Chloe glared at Arcel while saying, “Oh, are you conscious? Good thing, we can check out of this hotel on time and I can go home by myself.”

Arcel protest, “Wait a minute! I don't understand at all. Who are you, where am I and in what age? And why did I land in a pile of trash in an alley, not somewhere else?”

“Take it easy, we won't be out right now,”, Chloe. “At least wait until I'm done getting dressed, okay? Only after that will I answer your question.”

Because it is still completely foreign to this Modern Age, and because Arcel can not go anywhere else but follow Chloe, inevitably he waited again.

This time Chloe stood behind the bulkhead, wearing one of her clothes after another. His position was completely blocked when viewed from the bed, but again Arcel saw the silhouette of the girl's curves, making his faith again vibrate.

Chloe's voice came from behind the bulkhead, “Well, Arcel Raine, please ask. The questions one by one, yes, or I won't answer them at all!”

In his words, Arcel was misbehaving. “B-good! Last night I heard your name was Chloe Hewitt. But who are you?”

“I am an agent of Vadis Omniuum League of Superhumans and Guardians, abbreviated to ‘VOLSUNG’. Our Chief Advisor is Alistair Kane, the highest-ranked inter-region traveler, the strongest in all of Everna. The chairman assigned me to pick you up and bring you to him. But I didn't expect you to land in District Twelve, let alone in a pile of trash. Bathing you takes a lot of time and effort, let alone having to withstand that foul smell, urgh.”.

Chloe's silhouette suddenly bowed, then fell silent as if she had just mispronounced, revealing something she didn't deserve to reveal.

“So it's true that he bathed me. The shame is, ” Inner Arcel, his hands cover his face that is getting reddish.

Chloe then came out from behind the bulkhead, dressed neatly in the same costume as last night. With cheeks that also meet red he spoke again with ketus, “Please, next question.”

“You are now in the largest city in the United States of Archelia, namely Hyperpolis Centronia. Due to its vast area, over a thousand square kilometers, Centronia is already recognized as a State and Special Region in its own right.

As a State, Centronia was headed by a Governor. Hyperpolis is divided into fifteen districts each headed by a mayor. We are now in District Twelve aka Sanitation District, the second most slum district after District Thirteen aka Rehabilitation District.”

“Just remember the smell of garbage smelled everywhere, arriving in this room too,” chirped Arcel.

“Truely said.” This is the first time Chloe Hewitt laughs at Arcel's jokes, the beginning of the next jovial laugh that will color her life.

That's when, for how long, Arcel and Chloe fell asleep. Maybe this is what they really need, a short break from all the pressures of work, fulfillment of destiny, survival and such.

Let all be forgotten for a moment, even for a few minutes, even a few seconds, so that they return to being themselves, free persons. Free from mission, free from superiors, free from the pressure of status as a hero and role model for the world of all generations, all ages.

Let them now be immersed in a sea of romance, with the basis of being willing to be equally willing, amazed equally amazed, like equally like.

Let it not allow this situation to drag on beyond the limits of norms and decency.

After all, Arcel and Chloe just met. Although both still look young, a sprinkling of maturity develops, awakening both of them from their obsolescence. Returning to the right track of the lostness of their original, true purpose.

While clearing his throat, Arcel said, “I have one last question for now, if you don't mind.”

“Oh, absolutely not,” said Chloe, her eyes narrowed and she flashed an awkward smile. “Please.”

“What time am I at? I don't understand any of those things that light up. What is the source of the energy from the magical crystal?” Arcel pointed to the television, the room temperature control, the disco lights on the ceiling and the refrigerator.

Chloe then presses her smartphone, matching information from the media with her memory. “You're from the beginning of the Machine Age aren't you, Arcel? Well, this is the Late Modern Age. Today, the entire Terra Everna is relatively peaceful, with the exception of small explosions and upheavals here and there. Some of those explosions are happening globally and will soon be centered here at Centronia.”

“What do you mean?”

“Let my boss, Alistair Kane explain everything to you. Your first mission here will be closely related to the upcoming explosion in this hyperpolitan city.”

“How about those moving or self-lit objects?”

“Thanks to new inventions and innovations since the end of the Machine Age, now almost all devices in the Modern Age use electricity. Later I will teach you how to find information through the internet. All answers to most of your questions are available there.”

“Ngg... What is internet?” arcel asked with a naive expression.

“Yes for mercy..” Chloe patted her own forehead.
