The Day Before the Party

Galang sipped another glass of his Champagne, only with this could he forget Kei, until he realized from his drunkenness the next day, forgetting his memories with Kei. His innocent wife, who always forgave him before he even asked for it.

"Who are you? Do I know you?" ask Galang.

The woman sat down in the bar stool next to Galang, ordered red wine and immediately turned her attention to Galang.

"You're Galang right, Keilani's ex-husband?" ask the woman.

Galang paid his full attention to the woman, while remembering could this woman be one of Kei's friends. Seems not...

Galang only knows Sonya is the only friend Kei has.

"If so, why?" ask Galang.

The woman reached out her hand to Galang, and introduced herself, "I'm Karina.., Kei High School friend and her lover Hardhan."

"Kei High School Friends?" galang asked as he welcomed Karina's hand "Wait, you said Hardhan's lover?" continued.

The woman nodded, then her face turned sad, she looked so miserable, and tears flowed down her cheeks, "I just got back from Paris, and I just found out that Hardhan is married..." the woman stopped to stuff her nose into a tissue "She wouldn't even bother to break off our relationship." continued the woman sobbing.

Galang gave her a tissue for her

Obviously Hardhan doesn't want to break you off, given how beautiful and exciting you are. Hardhan is not a stupid man who wants to take off this one gem.

"How long have you been in a relationship?Three days? A week?" guess Galang.

"Eight years." answered the woman.

"Eight years?" ask Galang not to believe.

"You don't believe it?" Karina turned her back.

"All I know is, Hardhan never lasted the same woman more than two weeks."

"But that's the truth, I've been with him eight years..."

"You should have been so devastated to learn that Hardhan was married, eight years a very long time..."

Karina sobbed again, "I feel like I want to kill myself, I can't afford to lose her."

Galang felt sorry for the woman in front of him, this woman felt the same sadness as Galang, maybe Galang should tell this woman that Kei and Hardhan's marriage was only a contract, so as to ease her sadness.
