131.1 Hunters From the North

In the cold, snowy hills and valleys, a group of hunters are seen in their tent on the edge of the forest near the border between the Kingdom of Navia and the Republic of North Navia.

The five men from the adventurer group who specialized in hunting beasts were preparing to return to Wraska City after finishing skinning and collecting the meat from some large-sized deer.

"Yolga prepare our horses I do not like this atmosphere, look at the clouds begin to look thickened again above us and the sun that had shone earlier is really no longer visible possibility of snow will soon fall."

"I understand Praska earlier we also had time to hear there was a shrill howl far from the forest likely the forest wolf will also come because it smells the blood of the animals we cut here, he said, it would be terrible if we got caught in the snow with a bunch of hungry wolves."

Yolga the hunter told his companion and two others were also busy tying their quarry to their horse-drawn sled, but before long there was a whistling sound from a distance, the whistling came from a fellow hunter of theirs who was in charge of watching the surroundings and they instantly prepared their arrows and swords to be on standby against danger.

"Praska you heard a distress signal from Akur he must have seen something.?"

"True we should check it out. Ilak, Kumar leave the animal's skin, we go to Akur's place now."

The four hunters immediately rushed to Akur's place and saw Akur who was lying in hiding looking far below the hill.

"What courses did you find.?"

Praska asked and Akur spoke straight away.

"Praska let you see down there."

Praska and the others immediately looked down the hill and saw an enormous black wolf visible from a distance.

"It was not the usual wolf that the wolf blarok that was bred specifically for the king's army of Orcs who managed to topple and control the Galdamar kingdom in the era of past chaos, I saw the picture in the fairy tale."

Yolga said that after seeing the wolf figure under the hill and Praska responded.

"So it's a vicious creature from the past, I think it's just a big gray wolf breed, because maybe the thick fur of that wolf will be of great value in the market."

"Praska you should not underestimate the wolf because even though it looks like an ordinary big wolf it is one of the Lycan wolves, a dark creature that is specialized in breeding for war."

"I agree with Yolga hunting it will be very risky especially we had heard there was a wolf howl so shrill no, no, it must have come from the creature and there was another howl heard from a distance responding to it means there must be another Blarok not far from here either."

Akur expressed his opinion and there were indeed other wolf howls that responded to the first howl meaning there were other Blarok around this valley because wolf-like creatures usually live in groups.

"Auuu...!?"

A long shrill howl rang out from the Blarok and before long a number of other Blarok wolves appeared approaching from behind the trees but it was not only the wolves that appeared but a number of Orcs with their ugly faces seen riding the black wolves.

"Hahh.it was a small group of Orcs and in view of this situation it must have been the first wolf that was a scout or maybe a decoy.!"

"But Yolga was what Orc troops were doing so far north.?"

"Either Praska, but look at it they brought some bonded humans."

They saw some humans tied up and pulled by rope but the hunters from the North Navia Republic recognized the clothes the poor people were wearing.

Praska said that but Yolga thought of something else.

"Praska you're right but it's not usual for the Navian kingdom to send soldiers to the border except when it's at war with us."

Yolga says it so Praska speaks.

"Yolga do you think that the soldiers of the Navian kingdom captured by the Orcs were enemy scouts who wanted to attack the Republic of Northern Navia, given that it had been a long time the kingdom of Navia had not attacked the Republic because it was busy with the great war facing the invasion of the Hereven empire to defend the western continent.?"

"Possibly like that Praska, it's critical that the Navian kingdom attack the Republic today because there aren't many troops in Wraska town."

"Yolga we should go back and report this to the Republican outpost in Wraska town."

"Alright, we can't continue here anyway because those Orcs might find us too."

The five hunter adventurers immediately rushed out of the valley and headed north to the port city of Wraska. The Republic of Navia had indeed withdrawn some of their troops in Wraska because there was no sign that the kingdom of Navia would attack the Republic in the near future and the suspicion was also strengthened by the delivery of a number the Navian Empire forces into the land of Tandora to help the Arfen kingdom invade the place.

Antonio and his adventurer group finally arrive at the port city of Wraska after two days of travel, a small town with a fort and a pretty good sea port, but the place is not as big and grand as the capital Grosberk.

Wraska City was actually a rapidly growing village for almost the last ten years, the city grew because of the large population of the Navian kingdom who moved to the village of Wraska in the Republican territory because they could not stand all the rules and high taxes from where they came from.

The large number of immigrants who settled and built businesses in the village of Wraska made the village even bigger and developed into a small town, especially with the building of the port and fort to protect the residents of the city it makes residents feel safer and more comfortable staring there.

"Haumm here is so cold."

"Zaza you okay.?"

"Thank you Erin I'm fine but this place feels colder than the city of Grosberk."

"Antonio I think we should find a place to rest and warm ourselves up."

"Well Erin I understand this place is indeed very cold."

Antonio thinks in the city of Grosberk many tall buildings can block the wind and almost every building has a fireplace as well as a simple space heater, making the air temperature in the capital Grosberk is very different from this small town of Wraska.

Antonio and his group eventually rent an inn with a small bar inside to rest, Antonio briefly observes the town during his walk to the inn and thinks there are many bars in Wraska and Grosberk, it is likely that people in the north like alcoholic beverages to warm themselves from temperatures so cold, as well, it is very different from the people in the southern continent because the hot temperatures make alcoholic beverages too much impact on their bodies, so it is less popular in the southern continents.

Antonio thought Remaria would benefit greatly if it could export such a drink to the north of the continent because the price of wine and commodities similar to the drink was much more expensive in this place than in the region others in the western continent.
