GA: Glory Of The Kindom
132.5 Relic of the Kingdom of Galdamar

The torch that Praska and the upper-level adventurers from Wraska City carried could slightly combat the dark dungeon.

The stuffy air was felt in the air because the underground room was completely sealed from the inside but when the light from the torch began to illuminate some places the scenery that Antonio witnessed with the adventurers the one following him, it was truly terrifying.

Dozens or perhaps hundreds of bodies were seen in some parts of the treasure room, they are the bodies of the Galdamar royal forces who used the treasure room to hide and defend.

"Antonio..?"

"They're horrible like they're stuck here to death."

Then Priest Anastasia went straight to some of the bodies lying there and he slightly doused them with holy water and prayed for them.

A priest would often do that for a funeral and splash a little holy water to clean the bodies because it could prevent the corpse from reawakening into an undead or undead due to the aura of death mixed with the flow of magic.

"Antonio we can't let their bodies be displaced like this, we have to bury them properly."

Priest Anastasia proposed that and Antonio nodded in speech to his Priest.

"I understand we're going to bury them soon, but we also have to investigate exactly what happened to all of them, why they chose to stay in this place, he said, if my guess is correct maybe they're protecting something or someone important here."

"Well I understand we're going to myisir and check the place and the bodies."

They began to comb the place and there were some bodies of Galdamar soldiers who turned out to have left a will because they knew themselves would soon die, some of the writings in the letters also describe their situation while confined in the room.

The soldiers of Galdamar kingdom were driven by a much larger army of Orcs and the king decided to retreat after learning his family and some of the people of Galdamar had managed to escape.

But the orc army had surrounded the king and his army that could only survive in the treasure chamber under the sturdy Nakrom castle.

King Galdamar and some of the surviving troops could only hope that the orcs would leave Nakrom's castle soon after the orcs plundered and destroyed the surrounding small town settlement but it was a big mistake.

The Orcs inhabited the castle instead and the king of Galdamar could not escape, some of Galdamar's soldiers were once sent out behind the door of the treasure room to find a way to escape or find anything that could be eaten, but of course it wasn't easy because the orcs were always around that place.

Things got worse when the orcs tried to open the door of the treasure again after finding out that there were some Galdamar warriors still left in it.

Death could not be avoided anymore and all of them including the king of Galdamar could only willingly accept their death and make this treasure room their final resting place.

It was indeed painful but at least their bodies could not be utilized by the orcs because the orcs would eat the flesh of the human soldiers they killed, taking their equipment and weapons, as well as their own, even the most terrifying remnant of their bones would likely also be used by the orc shamans to be resurrected as undead and for death warriors.

King Galdamar and the soldiers decided to avoid it but they still felt proud until the end of their lives, although they were defeated but at the very least they had fought and managed to save many human lives from the attacks of Orc troops.

"Antonio look here like I found the king's body.!"

Erin said that and called Antonio who was busy reading some letters left by the Galdamar soldiers.

King Galdamar is seen sitting leaning under one of the large columns supporting the basement with the crown still attached above his head, several bodies of soldiers with thick Armor were also seen accompanying their king to the end, possibly they were generals and Knights of the king.

"Priest Anastasia the king's body has been found we will collect all the bodies and bury them in a large yard next to Nakrom castle, Miss Helena please you ask the adventurers who are guarding outside the castle to dig up that look."

"Okay, your highness Prince Antonio."

Miss Helena then went to meet the adventurers outside the castle, then John Herman spoke.

"Prince Antonio then what about some of the treasures in this place we have collected them but some of the objects and armor of the soldiers we have not stripped of the bodies as you requested."

"For the treasures we find here I will share some for the adventurers who helped in our quest but for some of the Armor of the fallen Galdamar warriors I will probably send it to the kingdom Elgard in the eastern continent because the possibility of descent from their family is still left and it will do little good to diplomacy our kingdom with the kingdom of Elgard."

"Of course we are very grateful that his Majesty kindly shared some of the treasures we found in Nakrom city castle with us adventurers, because in fact you are the most entitled to all the treasures because the mission we received only helped you face the Orc army."

A raid mission was indeed usually like that, the nobles who hired and led the adventurers on the mission would take all the spoils for themselves, the nobles who hired and led the adventurers on the mission would take all the spoils for themselves, adventurers will only get wages according to the initial agreement because they are only considered as mercenaries.

"Mr John I am also an adventurer so of course I understand the feelings of all of you, well Erin will collect some specific objects that have other values such as magic equipment or objects that may have historical value to learn."

Then the Praska over there spoke.

"Prince Antonio, when it comes to Galdamar's royal relics, I'm sure my colleague Yolga can help you a little because he often studies and reads history books, including the history of Galdamar's kingdom."

Antonio then sees Yolga and talks to her.

"That would be really good since Erin could only judge magic objects and could not figure out their historical value, Yolga's knowledge would be of great help to that matter."

"Thank you Your Majesty the servant will fight to help you."

They gathered treasures in the room and there were some magic objects that were some of the equipment used by the higher-ups of the Galdamar army, and there were some magic objects, but among those things there is an object that is considered special that is the object used by the king Galdamar himself.

"Antonio other than the ring, Armor and scepter of the king had no magic ability, but even that was not very strong, the Armor of the king of Galdamar only had the resistance of some certain magic elements, the cincinya had red rubies that added to the effectiveness of fire element magic power whereas the scepter was..?"

"What's Erin what about the short scepter belonging to king Galdamar.?"

"That wand I can't figure out what it's for, but it's definitely a magic item because it reacts to the detection magic I'm chanting."

Erin said that but Antonio was still quite curious about it then Yolga spoke.

"Prince Antonio was probably Hegan's wand, I had read in the book that tells the story of the kingdom of Galdamar and in the book written by the survivors of the collapse of the kingdom of Galdamar it tells of the king who always holds the great scepter make him always reluctant by other kingdoms, a stick that has the power to know the truth of one's speech.?"

"What a stick can detect lies from someone, it's very useful and also dangerous I can use it for my future government, the officials and nobles of the Remaria kingdom would be scared to death if they knew I was holding it."

Antonio said that because it is true that the stick can be very useful, there will be no one who can lie to the person holding the Hegan stick, it is worth telling that everyone including the kings greatly respected the leader who had it.

"The captain of the cane will indeed be yours but promise not to use it on us, we will be very angry."

Zaza immediately said that because of course his privacy might be threatened if Antonio used the stick on him then Priest Anastasia also spoke.

"Antonio the power of the stick is great but remember you must not abuse it."

"Zaza and you guys take it easy, I know that and I won't use it on you guys because I believe in you guys, This is indeed something great and it takes a great responsibility I will be careful in using this stick."

Antonio took the wand for himself and distributed some of the treasures found in Nakrom's fortress to the adventurers, The crown of king Galdamar which looks very valuable and has a high historical value also he secured for the benefit of the kingdom when he later negotiated with the kingdom of Elgard where the origin of King Galdamar and his people colonized as well as forming kingdoms in the western continent in the past.

Outside the Nakrom fortress the adventurers were visibly excited when they heard they would get paid more because prince Antonio would hand out some of the treasures he found.

Arfandra the leader of the Nordell Forest Elves also finally returned bringing back the great Republican army as well as the Remarian forces.

"Mr Arfandra you're back when we just finished forming a team to look for you."

Mr. Arfandra asked with a regretful face but then Miss Helena spoke.

"No, Mr. Arfandra, there are indeed two bronze-level adventurers who are victims and will be buried in the city of Wraska, the rest of the injured have been recovered with healing potions and light healing magic."

"What is all this funeral preparation for.?"

Arfandra asked again because of what all the funerals were for because if the tomb was for the orcs it was very unlikely because they did not deserve to be treated as well as that, orcs would only be buried or mass-burned to prevent disease from their decaying corpses.

"Mr Arfandra, the noble prince Antonio has managed to find the body of the king of Galdamar and his troops trapped in the castle's underground treasure chamber, so all this to bury all the heroes' bodies here properly."

"Oh that's a good thing because you didn't just leave all the bodies behind, but whether the tightly locked room under the fort was opened, we Elves tried to open it once but failed because the door was too sturdy, the surrounding ruins were also very disturbing the excavation process."

"Yes, Prince Antonio managed to make it with his intelligence and also found some treasures, oh yes, Mr. Arfandra then what about the troops who are with you.?"

"Oh right also I was too excited to forget, introduce her is Miss Eriela commander of the naval forces Remaria and Captain Abraham who led the forces of the Republic of Navia."

Miss Helena who represented the adventurers there immediately lowered her head in salute while introducing herself.

"Oh sir and miss are the high-ranking leaders of the honorable army, introduce me to Helena, the gold-ranked adventurer from the town of Wraska, who helped Prince Antonio on this mission."

Commander Eriela looked at Miss Helena and spoke.

"Well thank you, Miss Helena, for taking care of and helping our prince, we have come to ensure the safety of Prince Antonio in the orc raid mission, but from your conversation with Mr. Arfandra it seems we are not really in need of it then where is the current noble prince Antonio.?"

"He's still in the castle with some adventurers."

"All right then we'll meet him immediately."

After saying that Commander Eriela along with her troops headed straight into the castle leaving Miss Helena.

"Huh the commander looked really unpleasant, she was too stiff and serious when she was also a woman."

Antonio was still in the ruins of Nakrom castle until Remaria's troops entered the room.

"Oh Eriela you finally arrived in the Republic when I thought you'd take longer to get there, but I'm glad you made it safely."

Commander Eriela sighed after seeing firsthand the state of her prince that was still fine.

"Prince queen Alta was really worried about you, why did you leave before the servant reached the capital Remaria even made a snowfall on the route you passed and made us have to spin far to pursue your entourage, he said, what exactly is Prince Antonio up to.?"

"Commander Eriela's path covered by the avalanche was just a minor accident, not my intention to make it a landslide, anyway, I told my mother I'd be in the Republican Guard before I left."

"Right but it should be that Nikof's ministerial entourage went with the troops that I led and before I also heard that there was an Assassin who hunted down the noble Prince Antonio even had time to attack your entourage, right.?"

"Eriela, it's been the case that it's important I'm still fine and we can return to Wraska's capital after this for the inauguration of our ship."

Commander Eriela was a little frustrated because she and master Carlos were so worried that they had enough troops to deploy, but at the leisure of Prince Antonio said that.

"Prince Antonio there is little news from the land of Tandora did the noble know.?"

Commander Eriela said that and Antonio then immediately answered her.

"With regard to the statement of General Mariana who will seize the city of Lambak with a large army with the army of the kingdom of Navia, the Kingdom of Arfen is really not grateful, he said, they may be under pressure from the nobles of the capital Grandis who have been bribed and influenced by the kingdom of Navia to suppress king Valco, but let it."

Commander Eriela was a little upset that Antonio seemed not to care much about it, but if the battle broke out the Remaria Army that helped the Silmarin kingdom defend the town of Lambak would be in great danger.

"Prince Antonio's army of the kingdom of Arfen was very large after the auspices of the kingdom of Navia and some great temples, Our troops who secure the territory will be in great danger."

"Commander Eriela you take it easy to protect the territory of Lambak from the attack of another kingdom Commander Fenia alone is enough to overcome them all, Commander Fenia alone is enough to overcome them all, what I have revealed is precisely from the kingdom of Tandora itself which has been controlled by the Sirak temple, Commander Darius must work hard for it."

Commander Eriela had heard of the greatness of commander Fenia who dared to face the skeleton dragon to help prince Antonio but a great leader could not win a great war without the support of adequate troops.

But some time ago the western part of the kingdom of Silmarin under the kingdom of Remaria was pulled back and moved to the east precisely in the city of Bolvak to support the commander Darius facing the forces owned general Ahmed's Tandora kingdom made the western side of the town of Lambak particularly vulnerable but why was Prince Antonio so trusting of commander Fenia Renir who was securing the region.

"Your majesty why do you look so highly at the ability of the Fenia warrior who has not been promoted as a commander, because in the past when I met him Commander Fenia did not look strong at all."

"Eriela don't look at any one of her performers because she is much stronger than all the warriors in the kingdom of Remaria."

"Is it because the commander of the Fenia holds the Enema Spear and the ovalhard shield equivalent to the trident you entrusted to the servant.?"

"No Eriela commander Fenia became Remaria's strongest warrior not because of those two weapons but because of her ability and bravery, even without the weapons I entrusted to her she would be able to easily overcome the Arfen kingdom's warriors."

Commander Eriela hesitated a little, but considering that Prince Antonio was so wise and intelligent that he could play with the Imperial Army in the past, it was impossible that it was mere nonsense.

"Good noble servant will believe in you."

AFTERWORDS.

Friday 21 july 2021

Ah sorry lately my focus has been a bit distracted to just be able to write little by little every day.

Writing and determining the direction of a story is really difficult and it takes a long time to write it, but I will keep trying.

The printed version of the GA novel I hope will be finished soon and I hope to be a best seller as well because it will be enough to determine the future of this novel and probably will also affect me this simple author.

Indeed there have been some who expressed their interest in buying and I am very happy and grateful because it means a lot to my struggle.

I will continue to hope and be confident because all of this indeed comes from a speck of faith. For all those who read GA novels I thank you.

Salutations.
