140.1 Invasion of the Great Tomb of the Emperor

The adventurers rushed to the great Grave of Golgotha with the thousand troops of Griffin Remaria. But their presence was instantly noticed by the demons that were around the tomb ruins because it was too difficult for the Antonio Army and the adventurers to hide in the desert region.

The Devils in charge of guarding and watching around immediately shouted a signal of the arrival of a threat.

Imp and Gargoyle did not have high enough intelligence that they still thought that all the humans who came were no different from the weak humans they had previously hunted in the fishing villages, so most of those demons instantly scattered out flying attacking the adventurer and Griffin troops.

The sound of flapping wings rang out from the Demon army and the Griffin Remaria army flying above the adventurer's head.

And the battle immediately ensued, 1,000 Griffin troops led by Ramdira Ramez immediately went forward to intercept the demons that were flying trying to attack, The Griffin's huge claws and beak instantly tore apart the body and the demon wings dropped them to the ground where adventurers had already dashed after and slaughtered them with swords and spears.

Remaria's army that was on Griffin's back also used spears and arrows to repel and attack the demons that relied on numbers to attack Griffin from various sides.

Imp and Gargoyle though they have low intelligence but they begin to realize the human troops that come attacking are not the same as the humans they have been hunting.

Some Imp-type Devils can attack with fire magic making some Griffins, though, although the fire magic used by the demons was only low-level fire magic but it was troublesome enough that some Griffins were successfully dropped.

Some of those Devils also attacked the adventurers who were at the bottom for thinking they could not fly and they were likely weaker than the ones riding the Griffin but they were wrong.

"All set up the demons are starting to target us!" Shouted Cross a druid who was among the adventurer forces.

"Prince Antonio remains behind the servant, let us face the demons." Jordan Negaref said that he immediately stepped up to provide protection to Antonio.

Antonio thought 'Oh my goodness this adventurer still thinks I need his protection, maybe he has never seen me fight.'

While not far from there Markovic continued to shoot arrows into the air with Zaza to attack the low-flying demons, the archers' attacks turned out to be quite effective at knocking down the demons, some witches also continued to attack with the long-range magic they mastered but the fire magic looks almost completely unaffected to the demons.

"Those who can use protective magic immediately use to protect the adventurers who are fighting." Shouted Antonio giving orders and adventurers like priests and magicians who focused themselves as supporters cast protective magic as well as strengthening magic to their comrades.

Erin battles an approaching demon in aid of Marta who also has the ability to fight from close range due to her great physical strength.

Meanwhile Jordan Neguef looks increasingly difficult because it forces itself to go forward too far from the others until the demons continue to surround him.

"Geez I know the Valkyrie class is a great class because it is an advanced class of the Warrior Lancer class, but he is too rash." Said Antonio who observed Jordan until Antonio decided to go forward to help him.

With his short sword Antonio advanced towards the demons that swarmed Jordan.

"Your highness Prince Antonio is too dangerous here you'd better back off!" Shouted Jordan who was aware of the arrival of Prince Antonio.

"Be quiet I'm not the weak noble you think I am!" Antonio snapped which then continued to fight attacking and finishing off the demons that attacked him.

Antonio did not use the Hellfire greatsword that He had because the fire-type attacks had no effect on the demons, so Antonio used an ordinary sword because it was lighter and faster to swing at the weak demons.

The demons started attacking with fire magic, they targeted Antonio and Jordan in front.

A burst of fire magic enveloped Antonio and Jordan immediately moved to dodge even though he suffered slight burns due to several fire attacks that hit his body.

"Prince Antonio oh this is not bad." Said Jordan who saw the Fire had enveloped Antonio's body, but soon Jordan's eyes widened in shock because he was still watching Prince Antonio can still move and attack the demons around him, but soon after, it was as if the fire had no effect on Prince Antonio at all.

The Armord of Elgard that had been added to the healing flame of the Miranda dragon provided absolute immunity to fire.

The battle went on even though it was true that Griffin's army as well as the high-level adventurers that Antonio led were stronger than lace-level demons but the demons seemed endless as they kept coming out the door enter the great tomb of Golgotha and join the battle.

Antonio thought that if this continued the situation would be even more difficult because some Griffin troops and adventurers had started to fatigue and not even a few were injured or killed.

"Damn there's no other choice then, Jordan we have to retreat and fight somewhere else." Antonio told Jordan to retreat and join another army of adventurers.

"Neither I understand, it is too difficult to fight alone in the front row." Said Jordan who approved of Prince Antonio because he was actually quite exhausted because of some injuries.

Antonio joined the adventurers while continuing to fight alongside the others.

"Jordan give me protection, I have to recover our wounded." Pinta Antonio because Jordan is a pretty tough adventurer who is nearby.

"Hamba doesn't understand how his highness the prince will recover our comrades, but well I'll buy time for his majesty." Answer Jordan.

Jordan continues to battle to keep the Devils away from Prince Antonio, while Antonio is seen picking up a wand and begins chanting a spell.

"Eh, your highness Prince Antonio uses magic?" Said Jordan who was quite surprised to see his prince cast a very powerful magic spell.

The magic spell that Antonio cast took time to activate, especially the spell was not so effective in the desert region and if Antonio received an attack alone it would also instantly thwart his magic spell, so Jordan must continue to protect her until the magic spell is complete.

"Look I can't handle them all." Said Jordan who was getting tired while the demons kept coming from various directions especially after they saw Antonio chanting a mysterious magic spell.

Soon a rain of healing began to fall from the sky healing the wounded adventurers and Griffin warriors until they could fight back.

The adventurers and Griffin's army began to get their spirits back and began to gain an edge as almost no more demons came out from the entrance of Golgotha's tomb.

"Randira's good work, but we'd better take a break to recover our strength before continuing on this mission." Antonio.

"Right we have to treat the wounded also ascertain the number of casualties on our side." Answer Ramdira.

Inside the end of Golgotha's tomb where the Golgotha Emperor's body was residing, there was a slight panic The low-level demons who had just returned from the battle flew towards a magic portal connected to the demon world.

The Arungal race of Asmadeus the leader of the demons became furious at knowing most of the Imp troops had escaped and were trying to return to the demon world, while the Gargoyle demon race was seen still waiting and not running away because they did not dare to leave their master.

Arungal rushed towards the entrance to the end of the tomb and with his palm he grabbed the head of a Devil, The low-level Devil Imp continued to struggle to escape but it seemed useless that a very large Arungal power gripped firmly until the Imp died.

Arungal threw Imp's body into the concrete wall of the tomb and instantly the other lowly demons there became silent in fear seeing that.

Arungal used his power to keep his subordinate weak demons in submission.

Arungal then spoke the language of the devil. "So foolish as you fear the weak race of this world, I am the Arungal Asmadeusar they are lowly creatures who fight me I will destroy, You lowly demons don't need to escape to our world because I'm still here." Said Arungal to the demons who were so afraid of him.

Arungal then saw another demon that had just emerged from a portal and it looked different from Imp, Gargoyle or Asmadeus race.

The entire body covered in flames a Devil from the Nelfire race came to approach his elder who had greater strength.

"Sarhox look at those Imps, they are so useless that they even run away from the humans who came to challenge us!" Said Arungal to the Devil who was the adjutant who led the Imp race.

"My lord Arungal aren't your Gargoyles also incapable of confronting the creatures of this world." Sarhox said the Nelfire race to his master Arungal.

"Sanhox how dare you talk to me like that, remember your place." Reply Arungal who looks angry and offended.

"Excuse me, my lord, but this is the fact that our subordinate demons have lost, which means that we must be more careful of the powerful beings of this world." Sarhox.

"Hmr. but I cannot return with defeat, I will face them and will definitely be able to defeat the creatures of this world with my strength." He felt that this world race like humans could not possibly defeat him even though they were large in number and could defeat low-level Devils like Imp and Gargoyle.

The Asmadeus race was one of the highest demon races in the demon world and could not be compared to the Imp race, perhaps even the Arungal itself was strong enough to destroy a large army of humans.

Sarhox seemed to have other thoughts so he spoke. "My lord Arungal wouldn't it be better for us to go back and ask for help from another demon leader like Ephridus, they have a stronger army and would be willing to help us. After all our troops have been reduced by a great deal and it will take much longer to breed them."

The Sarhox of the Nelfire race proposed this because many of its races sided with and served the rulers of the Ephridian Devil race.

"Basstupid that I had planned to cross into this world long ago there was no way that I would seek the support of an army from another demon lord, they would definitely take away all my rewards, you know, you should know why I prefer a lowly race like you to help me because you have an Imp army that can cover the shortcomings of my Gargoyle army, so don't say about asking for help from other demon nobles like Efridus let alone those from the Succubus race." Arungal.

Already for several years Arungal found a portal that opened to another world, He thought that the world He entered was the same as the world that had once been in the invasion of several rulers of the demon kingdom, He thought that the world He entered was the same as the world that had once been in the past, although the invasion failed because of the closed demon portal without knowing the cause.
