Gabby's nursing room atmosphere became gripping the moment Lord came. He learns from George about Gabby's condition.
George felt God should know. As a Papa, God must know the condition of his son. He also wanted to see God's reaction when he found out that his daughter, who was always considered strong, was lying helplessly in the hospital.
“Can you leave me alone with my son?” pinta Lord, subtly banish two humans who for one week are always on standby beside Gabby.
Marvel and George left the nursery. They were just outside without tightly closing the door. The two wanted to hear the conversation between the child and his parents, who were struggling.
The Lord sat on the patient's bedside chair. He looked at Gabby who refused to look at him.
“Are you mad at me for that night?” ask Lord. He didn't bring up the incident that got Gabby in an accident.
Gabby silence. He didn't want to respond. He didn't want to fight with his father.
The Lord breathed his coarse breath. “I mean well that night, all for the good of your next life.” He continued his words.
The breath from Gabby's mouth sounded very strong. He's setting his adrenaline on. He also stopped her from crying. Still clenching her lips to not respond to her Papa.
“Think carefully of everything I said that night. You also saw how big he proved to you, right?” Again God gave Gabby confidence to choose George.
Gabby can't stand it, she's sick. Why is it that he is talking about his life? Again, set his life.
“Enough.” Her lips began to tremble in response to her Papa. His eyes had already nurtured a clear liquid that was ready to overflow soaked his cheeks. “I'm sick. Can't Papa ask about my situation? Why is it just another thing that Papa asked me?”
Gabby bit her lower lip, she kept turning her face away from crying without a sound. Sad .. it hurts.
“Papa already know your condition, I've asked the Doctor directly,” explained Lord.
Gabby wet her dry lips with her tongue. He breathed until his hair that touched his forehead danced at each other.
“Do I not look worried? I'm really worried about you, with your future.”
Again Gabby exhaled to hear the Lord's reply. “Let me choose my own future,” he replied softly.
Brak!
The two men who were eavesdropping outside fell inside in a stacked position.
The Lord turned his gaze to the source of the voice. “You eavesdropped?” An annoyed tone sounded clearly out from the old man's mouth.
Marvel and George stood up. They did not respond and closed the door again. Highlight God's eyes as if to pounce on them.
The Lord stood up to make sure the door was tightly closed. He also locked from the inside so that no one eavesdropped on his conversation.
The Lord sat back. He could only shake his head when he saw Gabby still did not want to see him.
“Trust Papa, all for your good. Papa is old and you also know for yourself that I have a deadly disease and no cure.”
Gabby chose to be quiet and did not respond. The clear liquid is increasingly flowing until it soaks the pillow. Gabby is saddened to hear, saddened as she imagines her Papa in pain of being gnawed at by HIV, sad as she imagines her Papa will leave her forever. Although he was always hurt, but his affection for his father never changed. Still same.
“Papa wants what's best for you, when I'm gone, I want you to take care. And, George is the right guy for you.”
“Do not set me up again, let this time I make my own choice.”
The Lord had to sigh back in frustration. “Why are you so stubborn?”
“Why Papa was selfish!” Gabby said softly but with great emphasis.
