"My dear is handsome!" rang Rena while holding Olvi and kissing the child. "Will you eat chicken again next time?"
Olvi first shook her head, but then she nodded quickly. "Yes, I still like chicken. Stay here for lunch together, I'll buy Mami a nice chicken."
"Thank you very much" said Rena, smiling and pinching the child's cheek. "Sorry baby, Mami can't have lunch with you today. There's something very important that Mami has to do today."
"Is that more important than chicken?"
"You know Mami likes chicken," replied Rena paused for a moment and smiled again. "I have an appointment to meet a very important person, you'll have Papi take up, isn't that important?"
"What's more important than me?"
"You're important too, honey."
Olivia looked at Doctor Lay involuntarily, but the woman felt puzzled as the man showed a flat expression that was hard to guess.
Unexpectedly, Doctor Lay suddenly turned his head towards Olivia and said. "Miss Olivia, I'm stepping down and will come see you tomorrow again."
Olivia smiled and nodded. "Ah well, thank you Doctor Lay."
The woman asks the maid to escort Doctor Lay out.
However, after doctor Lay left, the smile on Rena's face slowly faded into sadness.
Rena got up and stood by the window for a moment, before finally looking back after doctor Lay's car disappeared.
Olivia stroked Olvi's head gently and asked her to go downstairs and get a glass of juice for Rena.
After Olvi leaves, Olivia and Rena are left in the room. Finally, Olivia asked softly. "Is there something going on between you and Doctor Lay?"
Rena felt empty and unable to say anything. Suddenly, she lay down beside Olivia and leaned slightly against her best friend's shoulder, then hugged Olivia tightly.
Rena drowned her face in Olivia's arm, for a while Rena just let out a heavy breath.
"What's Rena doing?" ask Olivia gently. "You can tell me, if you want."
Rena let out a long sigh and replied in a raucous voice. "I saw him and his wife yesterday afternoon."
Olivia knows who Rena means.
"I'm really upset that he's starting a new life happily, but I still can't forget it from my memory! That's so unfair!" said Rena with a vibrating voice—ingin to cry.
Olivia felt sympathy for Rena and hugged her tightly. "I know how you feel Rena," Olivia softly replied. "But you have to remember that he's married. Although it is difficult, you should try to forget about him and focus on your own life. You deserve your happiness too."
Rena nodded slowly, realizing that Olivia was right. Although it is difficult to let go of her feelings for Doctor Lay, Rena must understand that their relationship has ended and it is time to seek new happiness.
"Doctor Lay getting married to someone else shows that God has a better plan for you."
Olivia tries to cheer Rena up, but in her heart, she knows how hard it is to leave someone loved. Although many men are attracted to her, Olivia herself is not sure she can easily forget someone who has filled her heart.
"Thank you for me, Olivia," said Rena, smiling weakly.
"No need to thank you, Rena. I'm always there for you" replied Olivia, hugging Rena back tightly.
Olivia learns that Doctor Lay, not really letting go of Rena completely, at least, the man still has feelings for Rena.
