Chapter 28. Hardest Position

Dinner was over, but the conversation had just begun. Actually both Witha and Firhan want to go home soon. However, their wives seemed to want to linger there so as to make their husbands depressed.

"So, how did Bagaskara come to know Anggun?" ask Kaluna. He did not call her father or mother. Kaluna knew Bagaskara quite closely.

"Well, is this a casual conversation? What about you guys, man?" ask Bagaskara.

"If there's nothing to talk about anymore, we can go home first" Firhan said. He felt he had to prepare himself against Grace. It hurts so much to see Anggun can not be owned anymore. Although Firhan was already convinced that someday they would be together.

"No. I still want to be here. Graceful is my best friend. So, if Anggun is still here, I will stay here too" Jihan said.

Jihan really became a shameless woman. Some time ago he destroyed one household for his own selfishness. Now, he's confessing to being part of his best friend.

"I'm sorry, I don't think we know each other. You don't get too confident after what you did to me," Anggun said, leaving everyone glued to their feet.

"Wait on! What's the matter, actually?" Kaluna curious.

"Bu Jihan has taken my husband," Anggun said then he stood up and intended to get out of there. Apparently Bagaskara pulled his hand to make the other two men clench firmly.

"We'll finish it all here. You don't have to run away. Just reveal all your complaints. We'll hear it."

"Sorry, Mr. Bagas. My past is not for public consumption. Even though I can't forgive her behavior, it doesn't mean you can treat me like this. This is my last day at your company. No need to pay a dime in exchange for my work this day. Thank you." Thank you." Gracefully intended to leave, but all voices held him back.

"Don't go, Graceful!" firhan and Witha said simultaneously.

Gracefully doesn't care. He let go of Bagaskara's hand then left the restaurant quickly. Firhan and Witha are after him. Now only Bagaskara, Jihan, and Kaluna remain.

"What exactly is your plan, Bagas? You purposely brought my husband back to his past story? I see, huh?" furious Kaluna.

"That's comparable to your marriage and witha that's already hurt me, Luna. You know that I love you so much?" Bagaskara.

"Sorry, your behavior this time can not be tolerated anymore, Mr. Bagas. You made my husband go after his ex-wife, "sorry Jihan.

"That's none of my business, Ms. Jihan. Didn't you yourself intentionally snatch Mr. Firhan from Anggun? If now the position is like this. I'm satisfied because we all seem to be hurting each other."

"Bagaskara, what do you really want?" ask Kaluna.

"Release Witha! We get married and live happily" Bagaskara explained.

"Well, how different am I from you, Mr Bagas? You arranged this meeting apparently to snatch the wife from another man. I'm the actor and you're the suitor. This is really amazing. But, I'm grateful to you. At least I know that Firhan still loves his ex-wife" Jihan said.

"You're crazy, Bagas! I never loved you! I just love Witha. He's the only guy I want to be happy with."

"Even with an unhappy marriage? Come, Kaluna. Wake up! Your marriage will not be happy! I love you, you love Witha. However, Vitha never loved you at all. How can you have a child if in marriage you are still thinking of another woman? I mean, Witha is still thinking about her past lover. You're the third man, Kaluna!"

The insults thrown by Bagaskara just made Kaluna angry. He did not expect that a well-established friendship would turn out to be heading in this direction.

"It's just a business wedding, Kaluna. It's not you getting married, but between the shares of your two parents who are going to have children. So, please think again about my request. Divorce Vitha, come back with me."

Jihan apparently would rather see the struggle of a Pebinor than pursue her husband who is not what is currently. It might force Anggun to continue together.

"Wine, wait!" shout Witha.

Witha and Firhan are chasing Anggun who is actually almost getting a taxi. For the sake of being able to escape quickly, Anggun also took off both shoes until Firhan and Witha took each of them. Like the story of the prince chasing Cinderella, but this is another. They're after the woman of his past. The same woman who had already filled the recesses of their hearts.

"Firhan, you better get the car. While I'm going after Anggun. At least we won't lose track." Vicki decided to work together.

"alright. Keep chasing. I'm going to the parking lot."

Firhan relented, not that he lost. He returned to the parking lot to make it easier to chase Anggun. It was on the woman to feel exhausted so that Whitha was able to catch and carry into her arms.

"Witha, let me go!" Gracefully thrashed.

"No! You'll stay like this until Firhan comes. You can't go. Where are you going these nights?"

"I'm going home. Bagaskara manipulated my circumstances. This is not fair. He gave it all away so easily, it turned out that there was a hidden intent behind all this. Let go of me, Witha! You shouldn't have hugged me like this. What if Kaluna finds out?"

"That's no problem. Our marriage was never happy. I love you, Graceful. Until whenever it will continue like that. So, please work at my place. You'll be safe there" pinta Witha.

Firhan came by his car. He saw his ex-wife being hugged very tightly by the Whitha. Maybe this is just a way for Anggun not to run away and Firhan should be able to understand him.

"Witha, how is it now?" firhan asked so as to make Witha let go of that hug. But not with the graceful hand. Witha kept holding it so tightly.

"Bring Gracefully to the hotel. Let him stay there for a while," orders Whitha.

"What about Jihan?" ask Firhan. His wife was bound to get angry when she found out Firhan was carrying Anggun alone.

"Aren't we both in the most difficult position? I'm asking you to help, but I'm going to help you too. I'll bring Jihan back."

Hearing the name Jihan, Anggun was actually fed up. Moreover, that woman had already made him suffer. Unwilling to prolong the matter, Anggun would go to the hotel a place where he would be safe for a while.

"I'll take a taxi. You better go back to the restaurant. I'm worried that Mr. Bagaskara will cause trouble there. My stuff in the new house, I'm gonna ask Mr. Rahman to tell the hotel."

"You won't go without Firhan, Graceful. You'll be safe with him."

How could Graceful be in the hardest position like this? Wanting to reject them, but the two force to cooperate. Maybe it's good Anggun wants to go with Firhan. He would just drive her. Later when he arrived on the road, Anggun will ask to be taken down and then continue his own journey to the hotel.
