Chapter 51. Different Stares

All the way back to the city, Martha kept nagging at Witha. He felt humbled in the face of Anggun who he thought was not level with his family.

"Ma, why do you keep acting like that?" ask Witha who is focused on driving her car.

"Mama doesn't like it because it's Graceful to be arrogant."

That one sentence made Witha surprised. That's because his mother has not known close to Anggun. He's not what his mother thought he was.

"Overdoes mom! I wouldn't have married again if it wasn't with Grace. Remember that, Ma!" witha is sure.

"Whatdidyou say? You think the women in this world are just graceful? There are many women you can choose. Moreover, you have everything. Don't talk like that! Until whenever mama will not bless you as graceful."

"Serah Mama's. My love for Anggun will remain at all times. We'll never be apart again, Ma."

Because of the quarrel, the car driven by Witha was smashed and hit the road barrier. Luckily it was a single accident, but however Whitha and Martha were taken to the hospital by people who happened to be near the crash site. They called an ambulance and several policemen at the scene.

When the news was taken down, it happened that Zayn was watching live on his phone. He remembered the car that Witha was driving.

"Zayn, what's wrong?" asked Anggun when she saw her husband was glued to the news on his phone.

"Ggun, it's like a car that Witha was driving. He had an accident" Zayn said.

"What's? Witha accident? Over where? When?"

Seen a look of anxiety on the face of Anggun. Of course it can be felt Zayn because only this time the Anggun reaction looks natural and not made up.

"You're so worried, honey. Wh why? You still love with Witha?"

"A-i? No, Zayn. You misunderstood. You know that Vitha is new from our house to serve the father. So, it's only natural that I'm afraid that something will happen to her. Can we go to the hospital now?"

Zayn is not wrong anymore. Anggun's face implies that she still loves her ex-lover. Even without explanation, Zayn could feel it.

"I don't know, is this just my anxiety or are you still in love with her, Nggun?" muttered Zayn who then moved from the bed to the bathroom to change clothes.

Gracefully speechless. He tried to digest every word Zayn had just said. Is it true that she is still in love with Witha after what happened all this time? Looking back, Anggun should be more worried about Firhan. Moreover, that man was once a part of his life. The man who was able to make Anggun laugh at his every breath. Why did Zayn accuse him of having feelings for Vitha?

"No! It's not a feeling of love, but because I care about Whitha. He is my guest today. Zayn misunderstood. This must not happen," Anggun murmured while waiting for Zayn to come out of the bathroom.

"Sa–yang," call Graceful laid out on Zayn.

"Yes?" Zayn looked towards him. "Whatwas? I'm not focused."

"Darling, you misunderstood me. I don't have any feelings for Vitha. Please don't accuse me of that. Please," said Anggun sulking.

"How can I believe that your face shows something else. It took time and evidence to convince me that you really don't like him anymore."

"What do I have to do, Zayn? Do I have to sit down in front of you and convince you that we have nothing to do with you?"

"Maybe." Zayn immediately got out to prepare the car to go to the hospital. Today he did not work because the hospital had allowed the grieving Zayn.

Not long after, Kaluna contacted Anggun. He immediately raised a call from Kaluna.

"Generic, Lun. Yes, I just got word from Mas Zayn from live on his phone. Where are you now?" ask Anggun.

"I'm just about to get on the road to the house, Nggun. I can't come tonight. Especially tomorrow morning, Bagas has to meet. I'll try to tell him about this news."

"Yes, Lun. Thank you for caring about Witha. Moreover, you are his ex-wife."

"Yes, Nggun. You welcome. Just tell me the condition of Witha," Kaluna said before ending her phone call.

After which, Anggun put his phone back into the bag he was carrying at the moment. He turned his head towards Zayn who seemed to not consider himself to exist.

"Zayn, Honey. Please stop silencing me like this. Honestly, my heart hurts so much when my husband accuses me of anything. For anything on this earth, I have no feelings for Vitha. It's just a matter of humanity, honey. No more than that. You believe me, right?"

It turns out that the misunderstanding is still going on all the way to the hospital. It was not easy to convince Zayn that he really did not have feelings for Witha.

"I believe you, but I need proof."

"Say what should I do? Please don't make me think of it this way, honey. Believe that! There's nothing I need to prove anymore. You should also know that I am pregnant with your child. If I still love Witha, I should be pregnant with her. Isn't that enough proof that I'm accepting you completely?"

Actually Graceful speech is right. The universe will unite them in the form of marriage and soon become parents. Zayn's jealousy towards Anggun was absurd. Anggun always busy at home and occasionally out of the house just to shop.

When they arrived at the hospital, they went straight to the IGD. According to the people who took them, the worst was Martha. He seemed to have gotten a tremendous impact from the accident.

Luckily Zayn is a doctor who is well known by the hospital. So he soon gets word that Whitha is fine. However, if they want to see the condition of the Whitha must enter the IGD room. Most likely it will be transferred to the ward tomorrow.

"Witha's fine, Nggun. Do you want to see it?"

"I want to, but I have to go in with you. At least so you don't misunderstand me anymore."

"alright. Come on!"

Witha was still enduring the pain as Anggun and Zayn entered. When she finds out that her loved ones are coming, she tries to strengthen herself.

"Why did it get into an accident?" ask Anggun.

"I had a fight with my mom, Nggun. Oh yeah, how's mama doing? Is she okay?" Witha.

"The doctor is still doing tests on him. Somewhat seriously, just I don't know exactly what it's like yet" Zayn replied.

"Why should you fight? Can't you be more careful driving a car? Especially this is night, Witha. Why are you so careless?" said Anggun who looks upset with the attitude of Whitha to his mother.

"Because mama keeps cornering you and I don't take it."

Suddenly it made Anggun surprised. She looked at Zayn and her husband's gaze was completely different.
