GRACEFUL

GRACEFUL
Chapter 3. Anggun Assumption

Grace was surprised to find her father asking to go home. She said Maryamah was sick. Obviously a little bit he would ask his superiors for permission, which was Firhan.

"Somewhat else, Nggun?" Firhan saw the woman was not passionate at all.

"Sir, my mother is sick. Can I ask permission not to enter at least a day and a maximum of two days? I'm afraid I won't come to the factory on time. Maybe you need me too" he said, pleading.

Though only a few weeks ago Anggun get a week off. Firhan is indeed his boss, but it is impossible to ban employees whose loyalty is high enough. In fact, some of them say that Anggun is an employee who has unlimited loyalty.

"Go! Use your time to accompany your mother. Greetings to your mother. May it heal soon" Firhan said before the two split.

Graceful could have gone home on her bike. But he couldn't because it was late in the evening and he had just returned from the factory. It will be very tiring with a trip that takes about 2 hours by bus.

"alright. I have to go home now."

Gracefully pack the goods a little. Don't forget he put his bike in the cabin. While walking, he will send a message to Jihan that tonight he will not be at the boarding house for a day or two.

Along the way home, Anggun tried to think of something strange. His father said his mother was sick from hearing words that hurt him. I don't know, who exactly is the culprit who made her mother sick like that?

"I'm surprised. Mom's not usually like that. Tumben once," he murmured while observing his phone. There might be a reply message coming in from Jihan.

The distance to the terminal is also quite far. Half an hour on the motorbike so Anggun tried to send a message to her husband, Moiz. A few days after receiving as many transfers as requested, Moiz did ask for more money under the pretext of going to fix the bike.

Instead of getting a reply message for agreeing to pick up, Moiz instead reasoned to take his own mother to the hospital. Yes, her mother-in-law Anggun said she was also sick.

"It's weird. What exactly did Mas Moiz plan on me? Is he trying to hide something from me?"

Thousands of questions swirled spoiled in Anggun's mind. Then he arrived at the bus terminal which is now really night.

Instead of getting a message from Moiz or Jihan, Anggun even got a short message in the green application from his ex, Witha. The man only asked the news after a long time married to another woman.

Graceful did not want to reply to the message because she had to immediately find a motorcycle taxi driver who could take her home. She knew that her mother was in the hospital, but she had to put some things down and clean up.

"Where are you going, Ma'am?" ask the motorcycleman.

"Campaign X, sir. How many?" Gracefully trying to negotiate if the cost of the motorcycle is expensive, he can look for other alternatives.

"Thirty thousand, Ma'am. How's it?"

"Can, deh!"

Gracefully received the helmet from the motorcycle taxi driver and he immediately boarded. His mind was still on the cause of the pain his mother was experiencing. If there is smoke, there must be fire so Anggun must find the source.

The atmosphere of the house is quiet. After paying the fare, Anggun rushed in. Apparently, my dad just got there.

"Well, you're home?" Gracefully wonder.

"Yes. Your mother asked you to pick me up. When you came, you just arrived." Gian downcast.

"Loh, Mas Moiz didn't stay here, sir?" Graceful too wonder. And a few days ago her husband admitted to stopping here and staying overnight. However, such a house is only inhabited by two people.

"That's it. You better get ready. Your mother misses it." Gian diverted the conversation.

Gian is piggybacking on his only daughter heading to the hospital. Until there, Maryamah was fast asleep. The doctor said his blood had risen dramatically. Maryamah must be treated.

"Sir, what's the matter?" Gracefully growing curious.

"Wait for your mother to wake up, Nggun. You don't feel good to tell you."

Again Anggun must resist being disappointed with the answer given by his father. Does this have anything to do with her husband? Or, maybe her mother knew something about Moiz?

Ah, her mind ran to her husband who is currently unclear of her whereabouts. Instead of picking up his wife, he chose to take care of his mother. Yes, Anggun also knows that it is equally important.

"Sir, did Mas Moiz say that his mother was sick?"

Gian surprised. It was as if her daughter-in-law was indeed playing a game with her family. What if Grace knows the truth? Gian must be sad and disappointed.

"Ehm, it's possible, Nggun. After a few days, neither did you meet him."

Again, Gian had to lie to his daughter. Gian knows everything too. However, she was not as fragile as Maryamah when she received the news.

Tonight Anggun accompanied his father in the hospital. He said he asked permission for two days to take care of his sick mother. Gian understands it because working with people there is a risk that must be accepted.

The next morning, Maryamah woke up. When he found out that Anggun was still asleep next to him, he immediately stroked the top of his daughter's head.

"I'm sorry, son. I didn't know Moiz behaved like that. Either you yourself can accept it or not" murmured Maryamah.

Gian just came out to buy breakfast. Two packs of pecel rice were prepared for her and Anggun. While the wife will eat breakfast given by the hospital.

"You awake, Maryam? Graceful since last night has been here. You're asleep" said Gian.

"Don't be noisy, sir! Let Grace sleep. He must be tired of coming home from the factory straight here."

The graceful person who felt that he heard people talking also slowly opened his eyes. When he saw his mother woke up, Anggun was quick to pay a moment to fulfill his obligations. It's still very early in the morning, around 5. So there is still time to do his duty.

It didn't take long until Anggun returned to see his mother. Honey, he didn't find his father there.

"Where are you going, Mom?"

"After breakfast, your father came home. He has to clean the house. Who knows if you're allowed to go home now. You have breakfast first, gih! You must have bought pecel for you."

How could Anggun be able to eat before listening to what really happened. He approached his mother and sat right next to the gurney.

"Mom, Anggun will eat after Mother's story," pinta Anggun.

Maryamah. He shed tears as he could not help his sadness.

"Mother, please don't cry. Whatever you're gonna tell me, Grace will hear it."

"It's about Moiz, Nggun. I'm sorry."

The Anggun's guess is not wrong. However, what exactly did Moiz do so that his mother cried like that? I can't wait to hear her story.
