Kaleesh has shared his soul with Aisha. In his mind, it made them a family. There is no harm in holding hands at all! Or so Kaleesh told himself, but the truth was that between the awkward silence and the hot feeling of Aisha's body in her hands, she herself was quite embarrassed. Perhaps some residual memories from his time as Young make Kaleesh more embarrassed than ever.
Once, while Young was still playing his first character, he jokingly did a pantomime kiss to his friendly guildmate but he replied, “Ew, disgusting!” with a voice that made him want to disappear in place. Women are terrifying creatures, both in the game and in the real world. Young had handed over one of his Legendary level items as an apology and was barely universally known as a bastard.
In fact, Young had absolutely no real experience with women. Even Kaleesh who has a number of close friends has never been in love.
Kaleesh glanced at Aisha. She was a small and beautiful half elf who was shorter in height than Kaleesh. But her figure already has a subtle body curve but is very feminine. Kaleesh is quite confident in his own beauty, but Aisha is just as beautiful. Now that he was no longer filled with dirt and his circulation was getting better, his skin became soft and smooth. Her hair, which was once dirty, had been cleaned and was now a brilliant gold. He caught the aberrant sunlight and shone like the moon in the dark forest.
Kaleesh recalled sharing a kiss with the girl whose hand he was now holding and suddenly blushed, turning his gaze away. He hoped that the happy moment would last forever. But just then, the couple was violently interrupted by the sound of flapping wings.
“Hm? What is—?” Kaleesh. It was almost too loud to be the sound of flapping wings. Kaleesh could have used his superhuman hearing to estimate that the sound was coming from about six miles away, but nearly ten seconds later, the source of the sound was flying right overhead.
“A-What..?” Aisha stammered. “T-Cannot..”
Was it the flapping of its mighty wings or the greenish-blue magic vortex that enveloped its body that held the creature in the air? Whatever happens, it stops above them, blocking the sunlight. Its four limbs, covered in dark green scales, ended with evil claws, each as big as a human.
It was impossible to guess the height or width of its wings, but it was as if a mountain stopped in midair. It had intelligent jade eyes and eight horns that seemed to bend the wind around it, and its snake-shaped tail complemented the image rather strongly.
“So there are dragons in this world too, right?” This is not the variation Kaleesh recognizes from the game, but it is unmistakable that it is a dragon.
Man has a sense of recognition when he looks at other men. Maybe dragons are the same.
At first glance, the dragon looked like an enormous, extremely powerful, and terrifying creature. Aisha, for example, fell, squeezing Kaleesh's hand for life. Kaleesh, however, calmly observed the dragon, using his wyrm soul and eyes to try to guess which of them had greater power.
“Don't worry,” he said softly to Aisha, who seemed already desperate to survive in the face of the terrifying dragon bloodlust. “It was just a dragon. That's no match for me.”
The dragon's eyes did not have a gold ring. In AMO, this means that he is not a wyrm, but one of their lesser cousins: an ordinary dragon, whose level ranges from 50 to 100. Kaleesh has not reached the maximum level yet, but he remains quite high at level 147. He should have no trouble winning the fight. Even if the dragon was as strong as a dragon without being a level 100—bos attack wyrm—boshe had no doubts about his ability to protect Aisha and escape with their lives, or even others. Not a big deal.
Even so, all those thoughts were based on the game. Not quite sure how powerful it was when compared to creatures in this other world. He should not let his guard down, but perhaps his Weakness Band need not be eliminated.
“It just tried to intimidate us,” continued Kaleesh. “But I'm much stronger. Nothing to worry about.”
Aisha nodded slightly, but remained seated where she had fallen.
“Now...” said Kaleesh, turning his attention to newcomers. “What is your business with me, cute little dragon?”
“So you are an outsider born in our world,” said the dragon, speaking directly into Kaleesh's mind. Dragons can understand human speech and are very intelligent. “Very big power..”.
“I think that means it wasn't you who brought me here,” replied Kaleesh. "alright. So, what, you're just here to welcome me to this neighborhood? In that case, I suggest that you calm your bloodlust. I hate it when I have to kill my brother.” “Stop bothering my waiter!” it was the message he was trying to send. Aisha is a young girl. He must be handled carefully!
“Indeed...” The dragon chanted, and his bloodlust, which had suppressed them with real power, vanished. “As an observer, it is my duty to expel outsiders from this world, but clearly your power far surpasses mine. I'm one of the four great dragons, the Storm Dragon Alhazred. To the children of man, I was known as the god of wind, travel, and hospitality. But to you, I guess I'm nothing more than a cute little ‘naga’..” Surprisingly, Alhazred seems melancholy about it. He sulked in disappointment, lowering his vigilance.
“Ah ha ha,” Kaleesh laughs. “Don't let that disappoint you! I am happy to meet another dragon in this world! My name is Kaleesh Schatten. You can call me your best friend Kaleesh if you want. I don't bite!”
“I'm sorry for my previous roughness,” said Alhazred. “I have no desire to go to war with you. Maybe you want me to beg for my life?” He's totally flat. At least it's partly a joke.
“Serious, don't worry!” Kaleesh. “But are you always trying to drive out outsiders when you realize it? It looks a bit excessive.”
“If we let outsiders act as they please, they might endanger our world. My job as an observer is to keep things normal.”
Alhazred thought for a moment then said, “I will answer to my ability.”
“Do you know the world of ArtiMagic Online?” Kaleesh was eager to hear the answer. This dragon was an observer with special powers. He might be able to tell Kaleesh more about the unknown world he lives in.
“I've heard those words before, but that's it,” said Alhazred. “I don't know anything about the other world.” Solved it. Despite being reincarnated as Kaleesh, this world was not the world he knew.
“Then, do you know what brought me here?” Kaleesh asked. He constantly wonders if all of these—reborn, realizing that he really is Kaleesh—is a dream. Anyway, why is he here? He did not seem to be summoned here by the gods, he was not given any indication that this was a gift for his good deeds, nor was he called to be a hero or even a king of ibl*s! Being given no explanation whatsoever, Kaleesh was very curious as to why he was here.
“I don't know,” says Alhazred. “Our only power is to detect abnormalities, but this is very imprecise. All I know is that you were born into this world with incredible strength.”
Kaleesh could not hide his disappointment at that answer. It seemed that even Alhazred, who was revered by mankind as a god, did not know why he was here. It was possible that he had hidden his information, but after admitting he had come here to kill*h him, and with him holding his life in his hands, it was hard to imagine that he would lie.
“So...” said Kaleesh, eager to get any information from this dragon. “Is there anyone like me you know? Extradimensional beings, or humans from another world, or so-called people? Anyone?” In the books, there were all sorts of people who ended up in another world. They will be called upon to perform this or that role, or sometimes they get lost and walk in. There was at least a chance that Alhazred knew someone with a similar situation to Kaleesh.
“It happened some time ago, but Lord of Calamity is one of the cases. Another was the summoning of heroes that had once been done in the Holy Kingdom. But that's all I know. Abnormalities like you appear once every thousand years.”
"So so!" Kaleesh. "That's fun to know. Thank you very much, cute little dragon!”
“That's again..” said the dragon. “Only the Great Mother who called me ‘naga small’ before. But regarding my purpose of coming here.” His voice was suddenly filled with great respect. “Let me ask you a question, great wyrm. What's your goal?”
Kaleesh could sense Alhazred taking him seriously, trying to assess him as a threat. But Kaleesh had just arrived in this world. Without knowing its position clearly, it is difficult to achieve any goal.
He had decided beforehand that he would live the best life he could, in order to squeeze every pleasure he could out of this world. He wanted to see all sorts of sights, landlords, people, and girls—things he had never seen before in the game. Maybe that's the goal? But after thinking for some time, Kaleesh shook his head. He's got something more important to do.
“To travel with Aisha, yes?” Answer Kaleesh. He gently patted the girl's head. Aisha was the first person she met in this world; she could not think of anything or anyone more important to her at the moment. “Do not worry,” he added. “I don't plan on conquering the world or slaughtering people to level me up or anything like that.”
Alhazred closed his eyes, thought for a moment, and reopened them. “Do you mean to deceive me?” She asked.
"Ha ha ha ha!" laughing Kaleesh. “Kaleesh Schatten does not lie!”
“Then I will trust your words for now.” Alhazred, who suddenly appeared like a storm, flew back into the sky. As soon as he came, he disappeared into the clouds.
After the dragon left, Aisha heaved a sigh of relief, but her legs trembled too strongly to support her weight well. Kaleesh reached out to help her stand up, but Aisha pulled her own hand and refused to move.
“Aisha?” Kaleesh asked. "Oh! Oh no... so...” Aisha lowered her head in shame.
“Well, I think I should take you to take a shower, yes!”
Aisha looked at Kaleesh, her face red. “Mistress, you fool!” he sobs. "A pervert! Don't... Don't look at me now..”
For the first time, Kaleesh felt a vague anger at the dragon.
