Hansa & Geeta

Hansa & Geeta
Chapter XIV

The creature swam closer. I jumped and ran behind Grandma. Hide out.

I hugged him tightly. “Nek...he's closing in! Don't tell him to come any closer!”

The creature stopped as soon as it heard my call. Grandma grunts.

“It's okay, come closer. She's my granddaughter. I want to introduce you guys.”

Grandma's still talking to the creature. I'm hissing. Why didn't Grandma listen to me?

“Nek, I said don't tell him to come near.”

Grandma turned around, and pulled me from behind her back.

“Take it easy. Didn't Grandma say she would protect you?” said lightly.

I swallowed spit. Then obey Grandma.

I saw the creature submerge half its face into the water as soon as I looked at it.

Grandma took off her hug from me and rubbed the creature's head.

“Duh, you're dirty again. I told you to keep yourself clean until my granddaughter comes. Remember, the last time you guys met, he was scared shitless.”

Grandma chuckles. I don't know what's funny, but it looks like they're very close. Like an old friend.

The creature showed his left arm to Grandma. I could see there was a diamond stone fused with his arm.

Whatisit?

“Iya, clean yourself up,” Grandma said as she nodded.

The stone turned into a glowing liquid and flowed throughout his body. Before long, the green light grew brighter until it made my eyes squint.

Glare.

Not long after, the light dimmed. The creature turned into a human figure. A moss-green-haired woman with pale skin.

There was still mud on his body. He washed himself with swamp water, and again drowned himself.

A few seconds later, she appeared with her hair cleaner.

I'm sculpting. Can it be clean that fast?!

Grandma tidied the creature's hair, so that his face was clearly visible. Then I could see his eyes. Like a diamond shining green.

I gawk. The pale skin of the creature makes his eyes more prominent.

He looked at me, our eyes met. Then he smiled.

I was surprised to see that smile. Did Grandma teach him to smile like that?

Really, she's very pretty. Like in the movies.

Did the stone on his arm move into the eye?

“Geeta, meet, this is my grandson Hansa. He's a good boy. It's just that when he met you he was so shocked to the point of fainting.”

Grandma turned to look at me. Wait, Geeta?

“Hansa, this is Geeta. He's the creature you met that night. Isn't she pretty?”

I choked, and snarled. “N-Grandmother who named it?”

Grandma laughed at my reaction.

“Yes, just like you, it was Grandma who gave him his name,” he replied.

Yes, Grandma gave me the name Hansa. I don't know why Hansa.

I looked at the creature slowly. He's still looking at me.

What compassion? Why stare like that?

“Nek, what happened to his eyes? Why are his eyes bright like a flashlight?”

Grandma laughed again.

“Isn't it unpleasant to know everything in one time?”

I tilt my head confused. Understanding me, Grandma continued her sentence.

“Next secret, will Grandma tell you next time. Now get acquainted first until close.”

...…...

I noticed a large creature that had already turned into a girl from the stairs.

He was eating whatever was in the fridge. Half an hour ago, the creature turned into a moss-green-haired girl with pale skin.

Her jewel-like eyes looked at me deeply. As if saying ‘don't be afraid’.

But, hey, who wouldn't be afraid to see a huge creature change shape into a human before his eyes?

I'm squeaking. That creature is really greedy. He eats like a monster.

From my memory, Grandma called him Geeta.

I met him when I was seven years old. And it was my grandmother who brought me to him.

But I can't trust my own memory. So many questions in my head.

Is this thing really the same thing I saw? Is he dangerous? Where did he go when Grandma was gone?

I cringe. My head has been a little sore since I woke up. Did I hit something?

The creature looked up suddenly as if it had realized something. He looked at me for goals.

I frowned. What's he want?

“A-What's up?” many doubt.

He's still quiet. For a long time his gaze felt more and more horror.

“Aaang?” voice suddenly.

I'm a little jerk. Every move surprised me.

I clenched my grip on the broom handle I had prepared as a weapon thirty minutes ago.

He put a piece of chicken –still raw-that he took from the refrigerator onto the table.

I retreated, going up to the third rung. Is he going to come near me?

Sure enough, he started to walk closer. For the umpteenth time today, my heart started pounding faster.

“T-Wait first! I told you not to come any closer! Stay there!”

I'm pointing the handle of the broomstick was-was. He stopped moving and looked at me. Then closed his eyes.

The necklace I was wearing back glowed brightly. A few seconds later, the light dimmed again and my headache disappeared.

The creature opened its eyes slowly, looked at me again, then returned to the dining table.

I let out a relief. Previously, after changing the creature also did the same.

He looked at me, then closed his eyes, my necklace glowed very bright for a moment, and my body became lighter after the light dimmed.

I don't know what he's really doing. But for sure, I still consider his presence a threat.

Not long after, the bell rang. Breaking the mouth ketchup sound of a strange creature eating.

I looked at the door. Wh who?

“Hannie!! You're home?!” someone shouted from behind the door.

I blinked. That's Auntie's voice. I quickly went down the stairs, glanced at the wall clock, and ran to the front door.

I forgot! I'm supposed to have breakfast at Auntie's this morning! I forgot my promise!

But my steps came to a halt as soon as I heard the sound of sophistication from the kitchen.

I'm hissing. “Diwa...”.

Yes, for a moment I forgot about the creature. How's now? Did I tell Auntie about this thing and have the police take her?

Or the…

I glance worried that the creature that is now in the form of a woman with a big shirt is eating raw fish.

Will Aunt believe it?

Will he believe that I said this girl is a big muddy creature that emerged from the swamp?

Plus, I cleaned the mud. The creature was also clean after I sprayed it with water.

And…

He's wearing my shirt…

I clicked in annoyance as I approached the creature with quick steps.

Suddenly my fear of this creature disappeared. I pulled this ‘gadis’ arm and dragged it to the backyard.

He looked at me a little upset.

“AAANG!” his protest.

I cringe. “Sst! Be quiet! Later Aunt can hear,” whispered me.

The creature pouted, then threw away his face.

“Heungh!” resounding.

I gritted my teeth and took the fish that had been eaten by its tail from the creature's hands.

He looked at me in disbelief.

“Aaaanggg!!!”

I pushed his face. “P-Just if you want this fish again, have to hide first!”

The creature stopped rebelling. Miraculously, I think he doesn't understand what I'm saying.

With his face bent, he walked up to the stairs leading to the swamp, and squatted there.

His head appeared, then, “Ang!” He held up his thumb from behind the stone wall.

I snorted amusedly.

Uh! Nope, no! Why do I think he's funny?! Nah! I must be crazy.
