HEART

HEART
Trifle

Man always has two opposite sides in him. Good and bad can alternate at unexpected times. Even in the blink of an eye, one can change.

He thought knowing Psyche for years would make him know the deepest side of the woman. But as he now sits in one of the chairs in his cafe, he is fully aware that knowing someone is immeasurable with time.

Psyche may have looked unstable a few days ago when dealing with Miranda. In contrast to this afternoon, his expression was too calm even for someone who professed love to die to Adam.

"Thank God you're okay." The man opened the conversation. His eyes never looked at those two silver eyes. "I feel guilty for you."

Psyche returned the gaze from behind the steaming steam of hot coffee. "Don't look at me like I'm the saddest woman." He sipped the coffee for a moment, its bitter and sweet taste as if to describe life. "There's nothing wrong and right here. Don't people always say that everything is fair in love and war?"

Leon didn't answer right away. He was trying to figure out who the woman was talking to him right now. Those eyes were never as warm as when they first met.

"You know I like it, Psyche?" Said suddenly.

Psyche turned the spoon in her coffee cup at a slow tempo. "What I'm sure is, he doesn't like you."

Leon smiled bitterly. "I can't hate him even if you hate him."

"Why should I hate him?"

Leon's head was raised. Psyche turned to him and blinked. "Is it because two men I know admire the same man?" He chuckles. "I'm glad you can move fast. Not falling for unrequited feelings."

Leon melengos's. His love was always for Psyche. That woman he will always admire. But the fact that there would be no gap for him, made the feeling like an old chest in a dark, uninhabited corner of the room. It is still intact but beginning to be forgotten.

But as a friend, he understood the woman's feelings. Too much love can sometimes make a person blind. What else a man like Adam doesn't know the word 'peka'. Although he found that the two men were both staring with great jealousy.

Leon leaned his body against the chair. The twilight glow radiates through the glass window and highlights directly on the Psyche. Her hair and skin looked bright. She's gorgeous.

"If you loved me, maybe everything would be easy."

Psyche closed her eyes and sighed. "If I loved you..." He held back his words while looking. "Maybe we'll forget each other someday."

Hate can be love and love can be hate. The spin is always the same and creates endless grudges.

Leon nodded while standing up and pushed the chair. He smiled thinly. "I'm glad you still want to keep a good relationship with me. From today I will try to understand you more."

Psyche snorted, while both her hands were folded in the chest. "I'm an easy person to guess, but maybe it's just a diversion."

Leon's eyebrows shot up. "Is that so?" He said turning around. "Ah, how much do I not know exactly?"

The woman nodded. "Easy-after. Work there."

Leon thinks that Psyche might be joking. As he was about to turn his head to reply to the woman's words, his cheek was suddenly smashed by something very loud. His body fell down upon receiving the surprise attack. His lips were numb and he felt a great pain.

In his shock Leon heard Psyche shout his name and the people around him screech. Then when he was fully conscious, the tall figure was looking at him with a cold and trivial look.

"Thank God I didn't kill you."

Leon wiped the blood coming out from one corner of his lips. "What's your problem, man?!"

The man's words were held back as Psyche passed him and preferred the white-haired man. The woman crouched down and looked at Leon's state intently. The blood was as a symbol that the man behind him really intended to kill Leon.

Payche. "Don't listen to Acid. We better treat your wounds."

"I said step aside, if I didn't want to I'd hit you."

Payche. He found both of the man's big hands clenched tightly. "True Leon, what's your problem, Adam?" The woman stood up and stared flat at the two soot which was like a blaze. "You have no right to hurt her."

"Psyche!" Leon held his breath as Adam pulled the collar of the woman's shirt making her tiptoe slightly.

But the sign from next to Psyche's hand that was raised behind his body made Leon's movements stop. The woman chose to face Adam alone.

"You—why do you want to die with him?!" Adam's rough breathing hit his face. The grip on both of his collars made Psyche quite difficult to breathe.

Instead of grimacing, the woman chuckled. "Why should I die?" There was no fear in fighting Adam's gaze. "Why did he have to die?"

"You're getting sick of me." Adam muttered softly as he threw out his grip. "My words are never wrong, in the end you're always the same as them."

The man looked at him and Leon alternately, then turned around with a loud-sounding step.

"I told you something, Adam..." Psyche never thought that Adam who was carried away by emotions could still stop the steps just to hear him speak.

The woman hid her grin and said, "What you think can come true and what I think can also come true." He saw Adam begin to touch the handle of the iron door with his right hand. "You love me, Adam. And you're so pathetic for never wanting to admit it."

Bells ringing. Adam has gone from his sight.—again.

"Have you waited a long time?"

The night breeze slightly blew Psyche's hair loose. He leaned his body against the bridge barrier and turned to the pale-skinned man.

"Not really." Psyche turned her attention to the puddles reflecting light from the lights along the bridge. "Want to bet?"

The man stood beside her and raised an eyebrow. "About?"

"Your cousin."

The man chuckled. "If that's what I've figured out at last, dear."

Psyche snorted and then chuckled slowly. "Finish your work. But I'll make sure your rivals grow."

The two eyebrows of the man were again clutched. A little distracted by the word 'competition'. "What do you mean?"

Payche just smiled knot in response. Her dress seemed to flutter as the woman walked down the bridge.

Really, they don't know that love can make it that horrible.
