HEART

HEART
Trapped

Psyche was among the crowd of people as if she was invisible.

His work suit is in stark contrast to the all-black clothes worn by mourners.

He stared at Adam's broad back with a soft look. He understands what it feels like to lose. But the difference is, Adam will not show his sadness by crying.

The man's head was lowered. Beside him a middle-aged woman rubbed his back several times.

That's her mother, Sophia Louvander. And on the other side of the man was Ariel Louvander, the younger sister whom Adam loved the most.

Psyche thought about leaving quietly and letting Adam be with his family. He thinks this is privacy that does not need to interfere. Given how Psyche does not have a meaningful bond with the man.

But for some reason, events that he never expected always came at the right time.

Several office colleagues began to arrive and express condolences to the Louvander family.

What made Psyche want to leave the most was Miranda's arrival and her close embrace of the man.

To Adam—nya.

Sunday morning, her apartment door was knocked slowly but repeatedly.

Psyche finds Adam standing at the door of her apartment in a casual suit.

Since the grey incident a few days ago, their communication has been cut off. Adam took a leave of absence and did not come to the office.

The man raised his hand and entered the apartment after keeping his shoes on the shelf. Psyche glanced at how the man was sitting on the sofa before closing the door.

Psyche walked into the kitchen and poured a glass of cold orange juice into a tall glass.

“Have forgotten me, hmm?” Adam asked as the woman placed the glass in front of him.

Psyche sighed. “You came here to argue?”

Questions answered questions.

Adam grunting. “You just need to answer my question.”

Psyche. He sat on the sofa opposite the man's seat.

“By going quietly on my father's funeral day and ignoring me without sending a single message?” Both thick eyebrows of Adam are linked.

Psyche smiled in frustration. “Don't you understand what I said?” Just trying not to get caught. “I just gave you time to calm down.”

Adam screecing. “You are always many reasons, Psyche. And I hate it.”

Psyche looked at Adam who turned his face away and returned a smile. “Yes. From the beginning we hated each other, didn't we?”

Adam looked.

Their views meet.

“And hate is what makes you love me.”

Adam always did the same. He will win every debate because Psyche will succumb to him by reason of love.

But it's never gonna happen again.

Psyche breaks their eye contact. He turned his eyes to the open window of the apartment.

“And why if I love you, Adam?”

Adam shakes. “This time I doubt your love—,” he said while trying to pull Psyche attention back. “All you show me is not love.”

“Is that?” Psyche laughed bitterly.

Adam had no right to judge anything. No, after all his treatment on Psyche.

“All you say is lies.” Adam continued. “I've lost, I know, what you want just like everyone else.”

Psyche realizes that Adam is trying to lure her. Either to tear down her self-esteem or worry about something starting to go away.

That guy's...

Unconsciously stuck with his own feelings...

His selfish attitude always wants all the attention and love of Psyche. He wants to be adored and praised by the woman. He wanted to kneel before the man.

Give all his love until he can die.

“Tell me whatever you want to say, Adam.” Psyche gave her best smile to the man. Impressed by the mystery and Adam hated it more than many times.

“But a selfish person like you has no right to judge others.”
