A Few Months Later.
The clattering of footsteps echoed in the hospital hallway where the hour hand precisely pointed at three in the morning. Farhan stepped as quickly as possible towards the inpatient room where Lisa had already been there for three days. The man was very worried because Lisa gave birth abnormally, aka just entering the eighth month or less than 37 weeks.
And crazy, Farhan was only informed by this news two days ago after Lisa finished labor for fear of making Farhan worried. You can imagine how worried Farhan was during his trip to Indonesia from America.
Brak!
Farhan opened the door rudely, he immediately ran to hug Lisa who was being examined by the night watch doctor. "Are you okay?"
Farhan's tears fell along with the frail body he pulled deeper and tighter. Lisa's body felt smaller than three months before they parted ways, leading Farhan to believe that the 'fine' postulate Lisa talked about on the phone was all a lie.
Lisa must have hidden her feelings. Perhaps longing or worried, pregnant women will desperately need the role of husband beside her, but Lisa insists on saying strong and does not want to delay Farhan's departure to America at that time for the sake of Farhan's recovery.
"I miss you, Mom!" Lisa's getting shuffled into Farhan's embrace. "Our son is born, he's handsome and very much like you" the woman continued.
As if unconcerned by her son's presence in the world, Farhan asks Lisa's condition once again.
"You're okay, right? Answer me!"
Farhan's voice echoed with a noticeable frequency of vibrations in the room. Makes Lisa aghast while gnawing half confused.
"As you can see, I'm fine, Mom." Lisa replied as the doctor stepped away leaving the two of them behind as it was unpleasant to watch the eye-piercing scene. "Aren't you curious about our son, why worry about me?" Hugging aside, Lisa looked at Farhan's red eyes that contained anxious flashes inside.
"Don't think anything first. You are a great woman who is willing to be hurt for the sake of me and my future descendants. How can I not worry about your situation when you just fought life and death?"
This time Lisa pulled Farhan into her arms. Their tears fell together as they were moved. "Thank you a lot."
"I should be thanking you. You fought for me." Farhan summarized Lisa's face full of fantasy. Then wipe the crying water that crosses each surface of the cheek padlocks that begin to fade the cab.
"But our son is still in the incubator, he's also battling illness. Aren't you worried about him at all?" lisa asked somewhat astonished.
The words Farhan spoke made Lisa sob and again cringe into the man's embrace. Feelings of sadness and surprise mixed into a mixture of blue haru. Lisa did not expect that Farhan's return from America slightly changed her cold attitude to sweet. Em, it's convenient if it can be like this at all times.
Lisa looked up while wiping her tears. "Mas!"
"Hmm."
One kiss landed gently on the woman's lips without excuse. Farhan replies to Lisa's call with a brief kiss of affection. Then he took off the stitch and said again,
"The doctor told me that our son is fine. We communicated several times while I was in transit at the airport. Don't worry too much, think about your health first so you can take care of him when he's healthy."
As if he understood, he immediately dispelled all expressions of worry that Lisa would say. Not so talk because the answer has been bombarded by the perfect husband who is in front of him.
"Yes." Yeah." Finally Lisa could only nod deeply while biting her lower lip.
"I'm sorry for not being able to accompany your delivery. I promised I'd be with you that day." Again Farhan acted, peeping the top of the girl's head until the heart behind Lisa's chest was about to explode.
"Mas, why have you changed so much, anyway?"Instead of feeling angry because she was not accompanied by her husband during childbirth, Lisa was more interested in Farhan's sweet attitude like candy.
"Nothing has changed, I just feel crazy for being in such a helpless position like yesterday." His face turned sad again seeing Lisa's fragile-looking state. Deep in his heart, he was still unwilling because he was not given the chance to be next to Lisa when she needed to. But this is his destiny. Farhan is not as special as the father out there who can see the process of the presence of the baby directly.
"Ehmm," Lisa shrieked along with a big smile that appeared suddenly. "I don't care if I see you again, it's already a great gift."
Given how terrible a normal delivery was, Lisa almost thought she was about to die. However, he can go through all that fear thanks to the protection of the Almighty God.
