Chapter 11's

The Veridion army that had just stepped inside the fortress, was shocked by the surprise attack from the pack of ferociously attacking monsters. They tried to defend themselves vigorously, but things changed drastically when one of the troops was hit by a direct attack from the monster.

"Damn it, careful!" sir Roland shouted anxiously, but unfortunately, his shout was too late. The troops that were hit by the monster attack suddenly felt an unbearable pain. He rolled on the ground, trying to ease the burning sensation that tormented his entire body. The other troops watched in horror, unable to do anything to help.

"Don't panic, we can defeat all these monsters!" sir Roland exclaimed, exerting his sword force to protect his army.

Just then, silence enveloped the mossy, foul-smelling hall. The Veridion troops who were still trying to make sense of the terrible events that were happening in front of them, stared in horror at the bodies of their comrades that melted into a pile of pitch-black liquid.

Fear struck the hearts of the Veridion warriors. They realized that the monsters before them were no ordinary monsters. This incident reminded them of the reputation of this region that was cruel and full of mysterious powers.

Roderick felt a deep emotional shock. He saw the horrific event as a warning of the dark forces lurking within him. Worry and fear were mixed up in his heart, yet he could not allow himself to be swept away by his dark side.

The Veridion army continued its assault with tested courage. They faced the monsters with a strong determination, trying to free their kingdom from this threat. Roderick tried to focus his mind on the fight, trying to control his wind power better.

"It appears Veridion has sent a cowardly soldier! However, you guys will not be able to fight us! Our strength far exceeds what you can imagine!" an Ignis voice resounded throughout the hall. "

Ignis, the leader of the region who saw the incident from a distance, was perplexed. How could Tenebris, who had been an invincible leader all along, be defeated against this army? This incident raises doubts in him, and he tries to find answers to the questions that haunt him.

"Are there any other forces involved in this battle?" ignis murmured with an erratic feeling. He feels something is wrong and he must immediately find out what really happened.

Meanwhile, Roderick continued to fight monsters with his strong wind power. However, amidst the increasingly fierce battle, the darkness within him began to feel increasingly stronger. Every attack he made gave a terrible satisfaction, and he felt a sense of power that aroused a sense of fear in himself.

Roderick realized that his power was over him. The dark side within him was flaring up even more, and constant pain invaded his heart. He muttered in a trembling voice, "What happened to me? Why has my power become so fierce and cruel?"
