Chapter 7's

Ethan entered the inn with a heavy heart. Each corner was filled with posters depicting his face, implying a deep hatred of the citizens of this kingdom. Everyone there seemed to hate and despise his presence. But he will not give up. He remained steadfast with his goal to learn seal magic and master its power.

After obtaining a simple yet safe inn, Ethan circumnavigated the kingdom carefully. On every street corner, he saw people with incredible strength. They control the elements, cast amazing magic, and master stunning martial arts. However, they were all unaware of his presence hidden behind the mask and the fake face he created with his magic.

"They don't know who I really am, they don't know about my struggles, about the doubts and the suffering I'm going through. To them, I was just an unwelcome newcomer." whispered Ethan inwardly, looking at the life unfolding in this kingdom.

Under these circumstances, Ethan felt lonely. The citizens of Veridion looked at him, denigrated his every action, and regarded him as useless trash. But he would not allow their hatred to tear down his resolve.

Day after day, Ethan continues to live in Veridion, living a difficult and challenging life. He visited the royal library in an attempt to seek knowledge of seal magic. Within the vast library, he immersed himself in ancient books containing hidden secrets and knowledge.

However, his continuous existence in the library caught the attention of the guards. They see it as a threat and consider it inappropriate to be there. Eventually, Ethan is expelled from the library, forbidden to return.

"Forced I have to stop my search here," Ethan muttered in disappointment, leaving the library with heavy strides.

"But I'm not giving up. I will continue to look for ways to control my power, no matter how many challenges I have to face."

In a kingdom that hates his presence, Ethan feels increasingly alone. However, the fire within him continued to burn. He knew that even though he was in the dark, there was still hope that could lead him to the right path.

"In this hatred, I will find my strength and determination. I will prove to them that I am not the trash they think I am. I will prove that I can control my powers and protect this world." Ethan said in a confident voice.

With an unshakable spirit, Ethan continues his journey of life in the middle of the kingdom of Veridion. His identity remains hidden behind the mask and fake face he created, allowing him to live a double life as an ordinary resident and a hidden hero.

However, inside him, the dark side continued to growl. The suffering he had endured and the deep guilt over the dark past began to take hold of his mind. He felt a strong temptation to give in to the negative forces that were within him.

"Why should I suffer like this? Why does darkness keep haunting my steps?" ethan sighed in a soft voice as he knelt in the middle of the hidden forest.

"I just want to be a good person, but why do I keep falling into the dark?"

For a moment, an overcast sky rolled and a flash of lightning struck in the distance. Ethan senses the energy that vibrates his body, bringing with it a force that threatens to surpass his control.

"No!" he shouted with despair. "I will not allow myself to be controlled by darkness. I must find a way to master my power, seal this negative power before it's too late."

In his desperation, Ethan promises himself to keep fighting. He knew that this journey would not be easy, but he would not give up. He will find a way to heal his deepest wounds, control his powers, and change his dark fate.

"In this darkness and suffering, I will find light. I will free myself from the shackles of the past and create my own destiny. I will be a true hero" he said in a firm voice.

In the faint, Ethan sees his own figure in the water flowing in a small river. There were two different faces, representing two opposing sides within him. The light side and the dark side.

"Who am I really?" ethan whispered to himself, looking at the two confused faces.

"Time alone will answer that question. Only with struggle and fortitude will I find my true identity."

With a pounding heart, Ethan takes the next step on his obstacle-filled journey. He still wears a mask and hides his identity, changing his face with magic to protect himself from the threat at hand.

However, in their ignorance, behind the mask he wears, there are two personalities who continue to struggle to dominate. The light side that wants to be the hero and the dark side that lurks in the darkness.

Many residents gathered in the main square to welcome the return of the heroes who had fought against the dark threat threatening their kingdom. Flags fluttered gracefully, victory songs echoed in the air, and happy faces filled with pride and appreciation.

Ethan stands in the middle of the crowd, but behind his mask and fake identity, he feels detached from the celebration. Inwardly, he wanted to be a part of them, wanting to be known as the hero who saved the kingdom. However, he knows that the world will not accept his presence as Ethan. He must be someone else, someone acceptable to the citizens of Veridion.

The next day, the registration to become an army began. Ethan walked towards the registration location carefully. In front of the registration table, an officer greeted him kindly.

"Hello, your name?" ask the officer.

Ethan hesitates a little, but quickly answers "My name... Roderick, Roderick of the Kingdom of Windoria."

"The Kingdom of Windoria, huh?" The officer took careful note.

"can you take off your mask?" ask the officer.

"What special powers do you have, Roderick?" ask officer.

Ethan thought for a moment, trying to remember the moves he learned during his journey. He gave false answers carefully, not wanting to attract too much attention.

"I have the power of the wind, able to control the gusts of wind and manipulate it as I see fit" Ethan replied with false confidence.

The attendant nodded in satisfaction, unaware that Ethan actually possessed a much greater power than he had revealed.

"Alright, Roderick. If you want to be part of our squad, you have to take a series of tests to prove your capabilities" the officer said.

Ethan nodded, hiding the anxiety behind his mask. The test would be an opportunity for him to learn more about the seal magic he was looking for. He had to pass this test without arousing suspicion, if he wanted to keep his identity hidden.

As time goes on, Ethan takes all the tests with the abilities he has. He tried his best not to show his true strength. Although in his heart he wanted to show his potential as a hero, he also knew that his security depended on his ability to remain unrecognized by the citizens of Veridion.

When he finally managed to pass all the tests, a high-ranking royal official walked up to him and gave a confession.

"Congratulations, Roderick. You have managed to become part of our army. We expect your dedication and loyalty in protecting the kingdom of Veridion."

Ethan nodded sincerely. He knew that this was his chance to get close to the secret of seal magic that he so longed for.

As he walked back to his inn with a hopeful heart, Ethan pondered about the path he had taken. He realized that on his journey, he had turned into someone he had never imagined. The fake identities, masks, and moves he learns have shaped him into a mysterious figure capable of hiding his true powers.

"Who is he? Why does he always wear a mask?" whispered one Veridion resident to another.

"Nobody knows for sure. He is a newcomer, a newcomer who carries danger. This kingdom does not want to repeat the mistakes that have happened to other kingdoms. They are wary of his whereabouts" the Veridion resident replied in a suspicious whispering voice.

Ethan continues his journey among the crowd, trying to keep himself unrecognizable. But in his heart, the flames of anger and darkness were burning even more. Every step he took in this world, he carried the weight of the past so heavy, as if killing his little friend, along with his comrades again and again.

"This world has turned me into an unknown person. However, in my heart, I still felt warmth and hope. I will not give up, I will find a way to save myself and control my uncontrollable strength" he said with sincere determination.

Although Veridion is a place that hates immigrants like himself, Ethan will not give up. He will prove that behind the mask and the hatred that exists, there is a hero who fights for good.

And with that, Ethan steps forward, towards a new adventure that will probably change his destiny and face it with unwavering love, courage and determination.

In the course of his long journey, Ethan will face extraordinary challenges, both from enemies trying to steal his power, as well as from the dark side in him that is getting stronger. However, will he manage to find a way out of the labyrinth of suffering and destruction that haunts him? Only time will answer.
