Dinner II

Friz and Elena sat with each other for a while, Bara stopped approaching the dining table when she saw Edy was among them. Not wanting to make the misunderstanding more protracted, Elena then got up and approached her son and daughter-in-law.

"We invited Edy because we wanted to have dinner together like a family" Elena said as she reached out to Kyra to get closer to her.

"family?" grunts Emotions. "He's not my family!"

"Bara, can't you lower your ego just for tonight?" Friz got up from the chair and looked at the pair of humans still standing before him.

"You invited Edy but forgot about Brother Niel? Is that what I mean by family?" scorned Bara annoyed.

Kyra touches her husband's arm which is starting to appear out of control. She shook her head at Bara when her husband turned to her.

"We invited Daniel. But he insisted on not coming."

"How come I didn't come over for dinner this time to celebrate my sister's happiness?"

Everyone at the dining table turned their heads together towards the hallway connected to the living room. Daniel came up from there in neat clothes. He approached Bara's place and stood beside his sister.

"Niel ..." lirih Bara did not believe in his own vision.

"I'm here to celebrate your happiness, Bara." With a warm hand gesture, he patted the shoulder of his only sister.

Friz, who did not expect Daniel to come, just stared at his son. A flash of regret ambushed in his heart, seeing Daniel who used to always appear dandy and expensive, now only wearing simple clothes and no berberk.

Elena was of course very happy to see her beloved son coming, she hugged Daniel warmly and longingly. Not feeling his tears dripping from disbelief his son finally set foot again in this Mansion after a long time away.

"Mom missed this moment a long time ago. Thank you for coming" Elena said, without cupping Daniel in the face.

Daniel nodded, he wiped the tears on Elena's cheek and hugged her.

Kyra was unable to hold back her tears to witness the warmth in the Lazuardi family. He did not realize that Edy was staring at him closely from the tip of the hair to the tip of the foot.

"All right, let's eat soon. Don't let your daughter-in-law wait long!" Elena turns to take Kyra and takes her to the dinner table. "How are you, is Bara's baby not fussy and torturing you?"

"Baby Bara? You say it like I'm the only one contributing to the baby, Mom!" bara protests while following the steps of his wife.

Elena and Kyra chuckled, and they sat down after the maid pulled the chair for her employer.

"Bara, be nice to your wife. Look, she's been getting thinner since Mom met her last week!" Elena glanced at Bara who looked busy covering Kyra's thigh with a piece of cloth.

"I always treat her sweetly. Just ask her!" tampik Bara's.

Kyra only smiles when Elena and Friz's eyes are on her. Daniel who was sitting next to Edy was also watching him. Kyra is the center of attention tonight.

"The car is very good. Don't worry, Mom."

"No, listen to yourself, right! I'm the best husband." Bara puffed out her chest full of confidence.

"Ed, don't mess up!" threaten Elena while looking at Edy sharply.

Friz and Daniel looked at each other for a while. However, their attention is split when the waiter starts serving dinner on the plate of each of his employers.

For a while, they began to busy eating dinner made by a very delicious chef. While chatting lightly, the atmosphere that had been cold was slowly starting to warm up. Elena recounts Bara and Daniel's childhood to Kyra.

"Little boys love to sleep in any place. As long as there were pillows and bolsters, he would definitely fall asleep that second as well!" daniel recalls chuckling.

"Just kid! You're the one who's always been a bully of my deep sleep!" tampik Bara did not accept.

Kyra laughs, comes to mind when she gets stuck on the island first.

"Birth? Hahaha ..." Daniel's crisp laughter grew louder.

Friz and Elena who had not seen the laughter for a long time, unconsciously joined in smiling to see Daniel who looked very happy. The warmth of the Lazuardi family has returned.

After that intimate dinner, all the Lazuardi family gathered in the living room. Kyra is looking at a photo album that holds many of Bara's childhood photos. "I'm funny, right?" Bara pointed to one of his pictures while posing with Daniel in front of the Statue of Liberty.

Kyra nodded, she rubbed the photo with her fingers. "Everything you've got is funny, except your hair."

"Yes, you're right. I hated my hair too. Just like a electrocuted person!" Bara exhaled heavily when remembering her annoying moment first.

While watching the photos, the phone inside Kyra's bag shook, she gasped for a while and looked up at Friz who was busy with her phone screen. Was this message from her mother-in-law?

"Bara, I'm going to the toilet for a second!" Kyra closes the photo album and carries her bag.

"I'm taking you, yeah."

"No, I can do it myself. You chat with the others," Kyra refused as she stood up and walked away.

Not wanting to make the relationship cool again, Bara lets Kyra go. He then focused his attention on Elena who seemed to be having a serious conversation with Daniel.

Meanwhile, feeling that she was in a safe place, Kyra reached into her phone in the bag. The name that appeared on the notification bar made his heart beat ten times faster.
