Chapter 9. Outside the City

Finally Adel accepted Daniel's offer to accompany him out of town. Coming home from work, Daniel called his subordinates.

Hearing herself being called by boss Daniel, the girl grumbled a little. His friend who wanted to go home, saw Adel enter Daniel's study room became very curious. They're following.

"Are we not too outrageous to eavesdrop like this?" ask Desi.

"Don't get caught, dong," replied Merlin.

The two walked slowly and eavesdropped from behind the door. The two were curious as to what Adel and Daniel were going to talk about.

"Adel, remember tomorrow we go out of town for business as well as sightseeing. Ready already?"

Adel spontaneously gave a positive answer. "Ready, Mr. Daniel!"

"Sip. We're going to a city you haven't been to before, so make sure you prepare yourself well" Daniel said, patting Adel on the shoulder.

Adel excited. Traveling with his boss is an opportunity that does not happen often. In addition, he will have the opportunity to explore a new city that he has never seen before. Although he had to stay focused on the job, it seemed that this would be an interesting journey.

Of all that the reason he was eager to accept the offer was the money he would receive as his work payment. Adel had already imagined how much nominal he would receive.

"We'll meet at the airport tomorrow morning at 7. Don't be late, Adel. Have you booked an inn?"

"Not yet, Mr. Daniel. What should I do?"

"Just calm. I'll get everything ready. You just need to get ready and bring your luggage" Daniel said.

"Good, Sir. Thank you," said Adel cheerfully.

"Now you can go. Don't be late!" daniel's Message.

Desy and Merlin are eavesdropping immediately go before caught Adel or Mr. Daniel. With a quick step, the two entered the elevator. In the elevator, the two looked at each other.

"It turns out that Mr. Daniel and Adel have a relationship" said Desy.

"You remember the photo of the woman who looked like Adel and Mr. Daniel at the party. That means it is them" replied Merlin.

"It is fitting that he casually accepted the bet, it turns out that he had known Mr. Daniel. Very sneaky," replied Desy.

They both kept talking about Daniel and Adel. It seems not to accept the relationship of the two.

The next day, Adel arrived at the airport on time. He saw Daniel waiting at the entrance.

"Good morning, Mr. Daniel," he said.

"Good morning, Adel. Have you had breakfast?" ask Daniel. It was able to make Adel blush because asked so gently.

"Not yet, sir," replied Adel with his head lowered in embarrassment.

"Well, let's have breakfast before we fly. There's a restaurant upstairs, we can eat there."

After breakfast, they leave for their destination. The trip was accompanied by a beautiful scenery that made Adel unceasingly cry out in admiration.

"It turns out this city is so beautiful, Mr. Daniel!" adel said as he watched the scene passing by outside the window.

"I told you, right" Daniel replied with a smile.

Arriving in the destination city, Adel was impressed by the comfort and luxury of the hotel booked by Daniel.

"Wow, the hotel is very luxurious. Thank you, Mr. Daniel."

"We still have to focus on business, so the room should be comfortable and quiet. We'll start discussing the presentation tonight and tomorrow morning. You accompany me and record what I say. You understand and can do that?" ask Daniel.

"Ready, Sir. I'm sure I can" replied Adel confidently.

As night falls, they meet a potential client at a very famous restaurant in the city. Adel helped him prepare the presentation that must be delivered in front of the clients.

"Hows it? Is the presentation ready?" ask Daniel.

"Already sir" answered Adel quickly.

On the morning of the next day, they took a walk around the lake while chatting leisurely and enjoying the quiet atmosphere around the area.

"When do we go back to Jakarta, sir?" ask Adel.

"Two days left. We'll be back at the office right after the show's over."

"All right, sir."

"Later tonight accompany me to meet a client" said Daniel.

"Ready, sir," replied Adel.

That night, Mr. Daniel took Adel, his loyal employee, to a nightclub in the city. A confused and frightened Adel shuddered, quietly asking in his heart why his boss had invited him there. Adel is indeed an employee who is diligent, capable, and always ready to help at any time, but he is not too fond of night activities, especially to a club. However, Adel still follows the orders of his boss, because he is a good employee.

Adel was afraid of getting drunk again. He did not want the events at the party to happen again.

Arriving at the club, Adel soon realizes that his publication was gravely wrong about what happened there. When Adel stepped foot on the street, he saw many people in glamorous clothes gathered at the entrance of the club. There were a lot of expensive cars parked on the edge of the road, those who could afford the luxury cars that came and gathered at the club. Adel felt groggy when he saw the people around him, he felt that he was the least worthy person to get into the club.

In fact, Mr. Daniel was already a bit drunk when they arrived at the nightclub. He asked the waiter at the club to serve liquor. Adel becomes anxious and worried about what is happening, but he follows Mr. Daniel and tries to convince him not to get drunk too much.

"Adel, try this. These drinks are delicious. One of my favorite brands," said Mr. Daniel while offering a bottle of liquor that looks dark and strong aroma.

"No, thank you sir. I don't drink alcohol" Adel replied steadily.

"Ah, you young man would at least dare to try. It's okay, I'm just kidding" Mr. Daniel said with a loud thump.

Adel can only smile and follow Mr. Daniel to an empty table at the club to meet with the client who called them. Arriving at the empty table, Adel felt increasingly tense as he saw a handsome and elegant client sitting there waiting for them.

The elegant client smiled when he saw Mr. Daniel and Adel approaching. "Hello, how are you two doing?"

"Hello, I'm good news, sir. Thank you for inviting us to this club" replied Mr. Daniel with a big smile.

"Yes, thank you sir. It's my first time here" Adel added with a small nod.

The client chuckled at the reply from Mr. Daniel and Adel.

"Eh, before we talk business, why don't we celebrate tonight first?" take the client while lifting the rum bottle.

Mr. Daniel and Adel felt a little awkward when the client offered them an alcoholic drink. Adel felt goosebumps when he saw Mr. Daniel lifting one more bottle of liquor.

"Until when do we play around, sir? I think that's enough for me" Adel said trying to finish the conversation.

Mr. Daniel just laughed a little and grabbed Adel's hand and begged her to dance. Adel is forced to comply with his boss's request, but gets more anxious when his boss starts behaving strangely after a heavy hangover. Though Mr. Daniel pretended to be drunk and he tried to drag Adel into his car.

"Have it, don't be afraid. Come follow me. Come on in, we're going to the hotel again" said Mr. Daniel with a laugh.

Eventually they managed to return to the hotel where they were staying. Adel takes his boss to his room and gives him a glass of water so he doesn't get too drunk. When Adel wants to leave, his hand is held.

"Don't go. Stay with me here" said Daniel.

"But, Mr ...."

"No word but. This is an order" Daniel said firmly.

Adel was forced to sit on the edge of the bed. In silence Daniel laughed. He wanted to prank his subordinates.
