THE NEXT morning, Agni woke up one minute before the alarm went off. He was a bit afraid of facing Ishaan today. What if the guy is still upset? Hopefully, the busyness they will face makes him forget about last night's problems.
After bathing and changing clothes, Agni prepared herself to leave the room. At first glance, there was nothing different from the usual early mornings until he walked into the kitchen and found a table filled with various foods. A female servant who noticed her presence looked surprised, then asked for permission to leave the apartment.
Did Ishaan invite someone to have breakfast with them? Why didn't he tell Agni?
“Mia, what—” Ishaan's speech was cut off when he was chatting. Mia is the name of the maid who just came out of the apartment. “Good morning, Agni.”
“Good morning, Sir,” Reply Agni. Still confused, Agni stared at the row of food on the table. “What Master invites guests to have breakfast here?”
“Oh, no. This meal is for both of us,” Agni replied casually. “Sit down, we'll be busy till night. If it does not run out, we bring to supply some.”
“But why does it have to be this much, sir? My meal portion is not too large.”
Ishaan tidied up the tie, then cleared his throat briefly. “This is my apology for last night's incident.”
That response even made Agni even more confused.
“Why do you apologize? It should be me who apologizes for not obeying Master's order to sleep before midnight.”
“Tell me, Agni, what's the reason you stayed up late?”
“I—” How is this, what Agni should tell the truth? The reason for doing the thesis sounds reasonable, but Ishaan only knows that he took the weekend to take care of ******tick college bumbling. “I worked on a report from a meeting yesterday.”
One of Ishaan's eyebrows shot up. “Till midnight? Usually your job is fast. What's holding you back?”
It's free to hang around with Ishaan. “I... I am anxious.”
“Anxious why?” Ishaan kept pointing at him.
“Axiety... anxious to think of Sir,” great-grandson Agni. “This is the first time you haven't come home to an apartment while we're in Europe. I know you can definitely take care of yourself, only I have not calmed down if you are outside until that late. How about you face the same problem as in Rome.”.
Silent moment. I want Agni to disappear after expressing her grief. When Ishaan walked up to her, the girl panicked and looked directly into her eyes.
“Thank your head. I told you, my eyes are not on the floor,” Ishaan ordered. Surprisingly when eye contact occurs, Agni does not feel afraid. There was a pull that made the girl want to continue to link her gaze to Ishaan. The man before him shook for a moment before continuing,
“Honestly I'm upset you didn't obey my orders. On the other hand, I realized your anxiety. I shouldn't have been rude last night. That's why I asked Mia to prepare more breakfast as an apology. So that you are also more excited today.”
Agni was wrong. Apologizing is enough, but Ishaan has his own way of expressing it through action. “Thank you, Sir. I've forgiven what happened last night.”
Agni's words instantly made Ishaan's eyes sparkle. “Then, let's eat. One more hour we have to get to the meeting place.”
As Ishaan pulls out a chair for her, Agni is further made to blush. Suddenly he wanted to quickly go to work before his work focus became increasingly chaotic.

The tight work today managed to confiscate Agni from the incident this morning. When meeting at rest, they remain busy with presentation materials and reports from previous meetings.
When the last meeting was over, Agni and Ishaan stepped out of the building. It feels like Agni's head is billowing because of a day of extra work than usual. Not to mention because he had a lack of sleep last night. He wanted to skip dinner and rest sooner once he got to the apartment.
“Good, Sir. Then, how's the report for today's meeting?”
“Do tomorrow only, send to my email before lunch.” Agni then put a reminder so she does not forget. “Omong-by the way, before going to Frankfurt I have to go to the hospital.”
“Master why, pain?”
Ishaan shook his head quickly. “Only regular medical check-up.”
The rest of the journey passed in silence. Even so, Agni is grateful they can pass the busy schedule today without meeting severe problems.
Or the other woman who brought Ishaan away from Agni's reach.
**
“We will send you the result via email, Mr. Marlon. Do not forget to keep your food intake and vitamin consumption if needed.”
Despite wearing a safety guard when dealing with Lea, Ishaan has not calmed down completely given the history of the woman who traumatized him. So before leaving for Frankfurt, Ishaan emptied the schedule for an examination and consultation with a doctor at the nearest hospital. Hopefully the test results will give you the expected results.
However, Ishaan's calm did not last long as Agni approached him with a worried face. What other problems do they have to face?
“Tuan,” Agni worried for a moment, “I want to ask something.”
Ishaan hints Agni to continue the speech.
“How long is the travel time from Berlin to Frankfurt by train?”
“About three to four hours.”
“So.” The girl sighed in relief. “My supervisor sent me a message, he wanted to discuss the chapter I submitted last week. Looks like it'll be a long time. The time also turns out when we are on the trip later.”
“Oh, you want guidance on the train?” Secretly, Ishaan was also relieved that the situation was not something that would drag him to the hospital anymore. “Use your time as best you can. I can briefly cover the restaurant car if you need your own space to talk with your lecturer.”
“Thank you, Sir. I'll let you know when the session starts.”
Noticing Agni struggling with thesis and work throughout the week makes Ishaan realize the privilege he has.
Being born in a wealthy family makes it easier for Ishaan to access various things. In her lifetime, Ishaan has never experienced a shortage of clothing, food, and education. Money is always there, even when he doesn't need it.
But as she grows up, Ishaan realizes that the privilege he has is paid handsomely with something Agni uses instead: freedom to choose the way of life.
People have always considered Ishaan lucky because he did not have to bother looking for work after college. In fact, if given the opportunity, he wants to determine his career without the demands and pressure of the family.
Therefore, while under contract, Ishaan wants to make sure Agni gets the best access. Starting from providing comfortable facilities, financial adequacy for the next year, to work experience that will make it more ready when graduating.
So when they split up later, Ishaan can make sure Agni gets a good career path. Who knows, they might meet at a better time.
