I'm Not My Boss' Storage

I'm Not My Boss' Storage
Completing the New Mission

“TADI me to the office to return your blazer, but Dareen says you're sick permission. Keep me stopping by the shop Uak Puput, uh even invited here.” Inggrid handed Agni a bag of brown blazers. “Still, Agni. I happen to have found outer right for teaching.”

Agni regretted her decision to invite Ingrid to eat at Uak Puput stall a few days ago. That place was the first time Agni had crossed her mind when Dareen asked her ‘hide’ Ingrid while she took Tanisha to look around the house.

“Sorry, yes, there is only sweet tea,” said Uak Puput while putting a cup of tea for the guest. “Uak stay first, want to clean up in the kitchen.”

Ingrid was the last person Agni wanted to meet especially after going through a long day at the office yesterday. Not that Agni hated Ingrid—how could she hate a woman whose attitude was so polite and friendly? It's just that his current position is less favorable to defend one of the parties.

“While the blazer can be packed, Ma'am,” Agni mince words. While Inggrid was with him, he was able to take advantage of the opportunity to gather information. “Pak Dareen how, continue to love support for Mother who is back in school?”

Inggrid's face immediately sparkled hearing Agni's question. “So far he's supportive. Maybe because I feel nostalgic too. We used to meet when Dareen wanted to help renovate my school in Malang.”

It's easy to lure Ingrid into discussing their past. “How many years ago if you could know, Mom?”

“Mmh, twelve or thirteen years ago,” his answer surprised Agni. “That time we were still pioneering together. Still kinyis-kinyis too.”

Agni laughed with Ingrid. In fact, his brain is comparing the length of Dareen's relationship with two women who are now his wife. Agni, Dareen and Tanisha got married seven years ago. That means there is a possibility that Dareen has been in a relationship with Ingrid when he met Tanisha. Worse, it could be that Dareen is courting them at the same time.

That assumption made Agni shudder and nauseous.

“Past Pak Dareen ngajak Mom courtship?” As calm as possible, Agni scooped up more information in depth. “New kok got married five years ago?”

“Oh, no, we're not dating. My father does not give permission, even though Dareen said peing seriously with me.” Inggrid sipped tea given Uak Puput. “For seven years before marriage, we were in long distance relationship. Sometimes Dareen stopped by to see the father who was sickly to help pay for treatment.

“Unfortunately, the disease of the Father is chronic. His last request was, ask Dareen to immediately confirm our relationship.”

Agni should have Uak Puput brew tea for her as well. This conversation will be more enjoyable with a cup of warm drinks. “Lumayan long time too, yes, until waiting seven years.”

“Yes, it is now my turn to wait for something from Dareen.”

“Have momongan as I discussed the other day?”

Inggrid. “Not just a child, I want Dareen to immediately confirm our marriage in the eyes of the law.”

After Ingrid left, Agni managed to pocket some valuable information. One, the marriage of Dareen and Inggrid was only religiously valid. Ingrid is Siri's wife.

Two, despite his position as honey, Ingrid actually met Dareen first from Tanisha.

Three, Dareen was a shameless man.

So, what should Agni do with this information? Oh, he can use it to clear his name from the slander Tanisha has brought. However, as Ishaan said, Tanisha's condition has not stabilized completely. Agni also needs evidence to corroborate the evidence she holds now.

Speaking of Ishaan—why did Agni even think of that man? He should have called Rano to check his condition.

Agni picks up the phone on the nightstand, then presses the speed dial towards Rano's number. The connecting tone even delivered it to voice mail. Again, he tried. Same result. It kept repeating itself up to five times.

He took a deep breath and then released slowly. Don't panic, don't panic, Agni nodded. Rano may not want to be disturbed.

Then, Agni checked the unread messages. Ulfa and Heni asked the news that Agni was retaliating accordingly. While Dareen's messages are ignored. Foolish when his boss freaks out, his own fault makes him suffer.

Then, Agni arrived at the message from an unknown number. At first, he intended to delete directly without reading the contents. However, curiosity overcame his anxiety. It was the message that read,

Agni, it's me, Ishaan.

Agni gasps. Then he opened the second message.

I got your number from Dareen. Please keep it, at any time I need to contact you.

**

I've kept the number, sir. Sorry for returning the message.

“Dareen how, not angry position in Jakarta occupied by Mbak?”

“Anged? The company is still mine. Got our family,” says Tanisha ketus. “Remember, I am one of the largest shareholders there.”

“Then, how long have I served in Bandung?”

“Until you manage to make them confess the deed.”

Tanisha still believes Agni is a figure who has been Dareen's mistress. In this case, Ishaan has not been able to file a defense. Let's hope Tanisha's accusation dies down, because he's sure it wasn't Agni.

The door of the room is knocked. “Pak, Mom, this is Shia.”

“Case, Shia,” Ishaan's orders. When entering, Shia looked nervous while occasionally looking back. It didn't take long for Ishaan to translate the gesture.

“Lea,” Ishaan mentions that name, attracting the attention of Tanisha. “He's here, right? Where is he?”

“Under, Sir. Request meet. I had asked Bu Lea to order food, but I was afraid it would be judged like the last visit.”

Ishaan sizzled. “Take him, don't go up to the second floor. I'll catch up with you soon.”

As soon as Shia closed the door, Tanisha immediately asked, “Lea do you mean your friend when you go to college? Girl who almost loves you sexually transmitted diseases?”

“He-he. From last week in Jakarta, he said take care of work.” Reason that Ishaan does not believe in considering Lea's temperament is far worse than her brother's. “Mbak wait here first, yes, or want to go back home?”

“Back aja, deh. Poor Haikal left for a long time.”

The right choice. Ishaan believes Tanisha would be cool if she met a pick me girl like Lea.

Downstairs, Lea was enjoying a croquet. Shia immediately breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Ishaan, then paused towards the kitchen to save herself. Serving Lea was the last thing she wanted to do, but Ishaan needed to keep the woman in the mood if she didn't want her restaurant to turn into a broken ship.

“So I saw your sister in the parking lot. Want me to call, only he hunted in the car.” Had Lea known that Tanisha had deliberately avoided her. “Streetings, yuk, mumpung hours of your work will soon be in order. I bought a ticket to watch a movie, enough to refresh.”

“Sorry, Lea, today I have to overtime.” Unwilling to repeat Micah's mistake, Ishaan tries to hide his plans to Bandung tonight. “I'll change the ticket money if need be.”

“Tuh right, rejected again.” Some visitors swung towards them. Ishaan had already noticed this reaction. “Padahan I deliberately moved the meeting schedule this afternoon to be able to walk with you.”

I really don't know what to prioritize. The classic thing from Lea that has continued to last for many years. “If this continues, you will make your father's business bankrupt. Though I have great respect for him.”

“Ishaan—” Lea comes to stand as Ishaan gets out of the chair. “We can discuss the family business while traveling. I don't like the atmosphere that is too formal. That's why I'm taking you to see the movie.”

“Once again, I need to work. Please invite others to watch,” Ishaan asserted. “Please stop also your childish attitude, Lea. You are embarassing yourself."

Before Lea's fury explodes, Ishaan hints at the security guard to escort the woman out of the restaurant. He then turned to the kitchen and met Shia who was watching the crew there.

“Shia.” The figure he called approached. “Today might be my last day watching the restaurant. My brother will be temporarily replacing me until I return from the assignment in Bandung.”

Shia looked sad to hear his explanation. “Good, Sir. Later I will prepare the needs of Ms. Tanisha.”

“But before I want to ask,” Ishaan can't believe he finally expressed this to Shia, “you still contact Agni?”

Shia's eyes widened. “Umh, Agni…. Ja. I sometimes stop by his house if there is a task to Bandung.”

As Ishaan predicted.

"In that case, clear your schedule until Monday. Accompany me to Bandung to find a contract while meeting Agni.”
