Daniela laughed as she grinned the elders wanted to be nice to her. "What's on their minds? Apologizing? Now?"

One thing Daniela understands. Most likely they wanted to get on good terms after the position of the crown prince was already vacant. The second prince who was supported desperately even disappointed the temple and the wedding was held simple, even though Ella is currently the only daughter of the Duke.

"Does the Duke know about the crown that was lent to me?" Daniela asked carefully.

"Duke knows."

"Do you know the reaction?" Daniela asked while taking out one gold coin to Vilvred's servant.

Vilvred's servant accepted happily and answered Daniela's question. "I heard a little gossip that the duke didn't care and just focused on accompanying the duchess."

Daniela raised one of her eyebrows. It has become the Duke's nature to be blind to his own wife. It's not strange to hear it from someone else. "I won't accept Vilvred's crown, I know the elders' goal is just to piss Ella off and Duke Vilvred off. It's just that these two people have the same hereditary traits, so I don't want to add another risk."

Daniela and the empress' confidants walked away from the Vilvred family servant.

The maid rushed to the duchy and immediately reported. The two shocked elders, immediately went to the Duchess' room in a thunderous voice, not caring about the pain of the Duchess.

"How could duke Vilvred commit such madness?!"

The Duchess held onto her chest and became heartbroken as Ella was humiliated. "Elder, I also gave birth to Javier. Even the child was raised directly by the father in the region in order to become a successor. How can you say something hurtful?"

Duke Vilvred stared intently at the two elders. "Chairman, can't you appreciate my wife?"

Duke Vilvred could not comment much.

As the Duchess was saddened to hear the threat from both elders and the Duke trying to find a way out, Daniela looked at her self-appointed amazement in front of the mirror.

"Is this me?"

Daniela wears a white dress and an imperial emblem on her chest. "Why am I wearing the imperial emblem? Is it no problem?"

"This dress actually belonged to the empress when she was twelve."

Daniela's smile faded. "This dress? Is this a dress for a child?"

"The empress is considering the chest and you're also too thin for a fifteen-year-old, it seems Duke Vilvred doesn't take good care of you."

Daniela finally understood why the empress chose her dress when she was twelve years old next to Daniela who looked malnourished.
