The empress looked straight at Daniela then held both upper arms. "Daniela, promise me."

The dayang who heard that, became worried. "Empress."

Daniela wanted to refute but was reminded of the position of the empress who was also her surrogate mother. "Yes, I understand it."

After confirming Daniella's condition was safe, the empress rushed out of the room. He needed to make a plan to protect Daniella from the Emperor, Duke Vilvred and the others who were extremely dangerous.

Reverend Rou asked herself, she felt unfair because Daniella could gain holy power easily while she had to lose the holy power that was already hers.

In the second prince's room, the queen slapped Ela with all her might. Nothing stops the queen.

"How can you let Daniella into the second prince's room?"

Ela who closed the former slap by hand, looked at the Queen boldly. "I don't know why he could have gotten into the room, he was already inside the moment I came."

"Is there less care than Vilvred?" queen Syndicate.

Ela took a long breath. "Your Majesty, can't you stop thinking ill of me? Didn't you say that we're a blessed couple?"

"I did have a chance to say that, but it turned out that you were the one who made my son lose his position as crown prince!"

"How can you accuse me of that, Your Majesty?"

"There's a lot of evidence, and look now! My son did not wake up at all! Is Duke Vilvred willing to take responsibility for all the mess you have created?!"

Ela was impatient. 'Your Majesty!"

"STOP YELLING AT ME!" The queen became frustrated and sat by her son's bedside. "Just he's my only hope to get out of all my bad past, only he can change it all. But all of them are even messed up by high nobles like you!"

"Your Majesty, don't blame my family. We've fought desperately to elevate former dancers and prostitutes to become queens. I also want to become the empress of this empire, only that child can be our hope, then now that there is a problem-you blame us? Isn't that so unfair?"

The queen's countenance paled when she heard Ela's words. "You-you"

The empress entered the meeting hall, her face showing a stern expression. The emperor who was sitting on his throne, looked at him in wonder.

"Your Majesty," said the Empress, "I came to you today to insist on taking charge of the imperial affairs."

The emperor frowned. "But why?" She asked. "I've handled them so well for years."

"That's possible," said the Empress, "but I believe it's time for a change. I'm tired of being sidelined. I am tired of being treated like a child. I am an Empress, and I deserve to be treated with respect."

The emperor sighed. "It's good," he said. "You may take over the affairs of the empire. But I warned you, if you make a mess, I'll take it back."

The Empress smiled, knowing that the Emperor was now about to give up all his responsibilities as he was already unable to cope. "I won't let you down, Your Majesty," he said.

And with that, he turned around and walked out of the meeting hall.

The Emperor watched him leave, a worried expression on his face. She knew that the Empress was a capable woman, but she also knew that she was ambitious. He hoped that he would not use his new strength to weaken it. However, the Emperor also could not work alone - if the Empress had a solution, good. Why not just throw it?

The Empress, on the other hand, was filled with excitement. He finally achieved his goal. He is now in charge. He would show the Emperor that he was more than a mere decoration. He is a capable ruler, and he will make him proud.

The Queen wasted no time in getting to work. He called his adviser and started making plans for the future. He knows that there are many challenges ahead, but he is determined to overcome them. She won't let down Daniella and her son. He won't disappoint people. She'll be a great empress.
