"Eve, I want to explain what happened a long time ago, when I went abroad to treat my illness. The time before I left, I was at your house, but your brother Cici, said you were out so I sent him a message to tell you."
Lynn silently did not answer she just quietly listened to what Arga said.
"I had pneumonia so I had to have surgery overseas. Just arrived where my phone fell and could not turn on, once I arrived overseas I bought a new phone. I tried to call you but you didn't get the message." Obviously Arga was at length, there was a whirlwind of disappointment and regret.
"My phone was seized with Mama Aila, and Cici slammed her in the floor after seeing Mama Aila give it to me again." Lynn explained her own situation at the time.
Arga fell silent, now he understood why his call had not come in. It was not because Lynn ignored him but because her phone was broken, Arga smiled faintly as if there was a small hope in her heart.
"What about your condition now?" Ask Lynn.
"Now I'm cured, so there's no problem anymore." Reply Arga cheerfully.
Lynn nodded in understanding, no more questions running through Lynn's mind. Lynn thought that when she was alone with Arga her heart would beat back like it used to.
But who would have thought if nothing happened, Lynn felt like she was normal as usual. So why when he first met Arga, after so long his heart beat abnormal? Like someone who is in love.
Arga holds Lynn's hand, Lynn who feels a touch of surprise looking at Arga with her round eyes.
"I know! I've made the mistake of leaving without talking to you first. Maybe my words sounded like excuses, but that's the fact. But Eve,
can we start again like we used to? Let's start over!" Arga clasped Lynn's hand tightly.
Lynn looked at her hand and then it rose towards Arga's face looking desperate, like her hand was one of the rope of hope that could take her out of the darkness.
Lynn removed Arga's hand grip from his hand, putting Arga's hand back into the starting position. Arga could already guess what Lynn was trying to say from Lynn's actions.
"Sorry Arga, but I can't start again with you. You know I'm afraid of the same wounds, old wounds haven't healed perfectly, and now, you're just a stranger who knows all my secrets." Reject Lynn firmly.
The atmosphere instantly became awkward Lynn did not know what else to say, after revealing everything her heart felt relieved, the burden she had on her shoulders lifted.
"Then I'll go first." Lynn said getting up from her chair.
"Wait!" Arga grabs Lynn's hand stopping Lynn from leaving.
"How about friends?" Tanya Arga still hopes for Lynn.
"Eems... Let's be friends." Answer Lynn.
"But on one condition. We are just friends no more and no less than that. Never cross the boundaries of a friend, if you cross the line then that's where our friendship is." Lynn held a firm face.
Lynn breaks all the chains of hope that Arga hangs on her, she is unwilling to give Arga false hope and will ultimately only hurt herself as well as Arga.
"All right, I agree to your terms." Lirih Arga smiled full of disappointment and sadness.
"I'll go first, friend." Lynn smiled brightly, released Arga's hand and walked away from the park.
Arga looked at Lynn's back away and away from her gaze, Agga's head bowed smiling wryly while looking at her hand that had just touched Lynn's hand.
"Well... It doesn't matter if we become friends as long as I can still be by your side." Arga muttered holding his chest, tight.
Arga raised his head to look up at the sky, there was no blue sky. There were a lot of black clouds covering the blue sky.
Mats... Mats...
Rain began to fall soaking Arga's face and clothes, the sky also lamented his fate which was denied his first love. Rainwater flowed from Arga's eyes and fell to the ground.
