When Misaki actually saw that Shishio was going to practice martial arts, she ran towards her room to bring something back.

Bajiquan is a Chinese martial art that accentuates explosive power, short range and is famous for its elbow and shoulder strikes. Its full name is" kai men waji quan", meaning "open eight-ended fist".

Bajiquan was originally called "bazi quan" or "scratching fists" because fists, held loosely and slightly open, were used to strike downwards in a rake-like manner. The name was considered rather crude in the original language, so it was changed to bajiquan. The term wedge is derived from the Chinese classic, Yijing (I-Ching), and signifies "an extension of all directions". In this case it means "including everything" or "the universe".

Bajiquan forcibly opens the arms of the opponent and launches attacks at high, medium, and low body levels. It is most useful in close combat, as it focuses on the attacks of the elbows, knees, shoulders, and hips. When blocking an attack or approaching an opponent, the technique emphasizes the main points of vulnerability that attack, namely the thorax (body trunk), legs, and neck.

In addition to boxing, Bajiquan also teaches armed martial arts, namely swords and spears.
