22: Missing my Mom

At exactly 1 pm they arrived at a fairly quiet beach. Only a handful of people enjoy the time to see the natural scenery of the beautiful beach. Jessica and Luhan were just standing by the beach enjoying the pounding waves that touched the soles of their feet.

So far they have been stained with silence. There was not a single word that was thrown from the lips of the two, both of them were both silent without a sound. Jessica struggled to hold her hair so as not to get messy because of the wind.

The wind was not only waving Jessica's long hair but also the dress that wrapped her body, she said, the bottom of her dress fluttered slightly exposing Jessica's smooth thighs which were partially covered in white pants that became the inner lining of her dress.

"Why? Don't you want to play like those girls?" luhan asked, ending the silence. Jessica turned and followed Luhan.

"I'm too scared, I have bad memories with the beach. And actually until now I'm still a little traumatized," Jessica said spontaneously making Luhan turn to her.

"Trauma??" Jessica nodded.

"3 years ago, I was invited by my stepbrother and his friends to go to the beach. They forced me to board a wooden boat, and upon arrival in the middle. My half-brother pushed me to the point of falling, I who basically couldn't swim would have almost drowned if there hadn't been a kind-hearted young man to save me. Unfortunately he left before I thanked him, and I hope someday I can meet him."

Luhan was silent for a while, if what Jessica told him was 3 years ago. That means the girl with glasses that he once saved was Jessica. Luhan closely watched Jessica's face, from eyes to nose to lips

'It's not wrong anymore, ' he said. It is only natural that Luhan does not recognize her, because of Jessica's now different appearance.

"What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?" jessica asked, Luhan shook his head.

Luhan walked towards the beach, the young man turned his back and extended his hand to Jessica "Come here," Luhan asked, but was not revealed by the girl. Jessica just stared at Luhan's handstring "Don't be afraid, I can't possibly harm you. So come here and take my hand." he asked once more.

Luhan only wanted to help Jessica get rid of her trauma. Doubtfully and unconvinced, Jessica approached Luhan. The girl closed her eyes tightly as a flash of the past shadow flashed back in her head. Jessica nodded strongly

"A.a. I can't." she whispered.

Luhan left his place and approached Jessica. He saw the girl sweating coldly, the look on her face showed that she was very frightened.

"You'll never know before you try, don't be afraid. I'm with you." Luhan nodded his head, trying to convince Jessica.

With hesitation, Jessica raised her trembling hand and reached out to Luhan. Luhan grabbed Jessica's hand that felt cold from sweat and held it.

Luhan leads Jessica to the beach, fear further undermines Jessica's feelings when the water is past her knees, the girl tries to be strong and fight her but hard. Jessica finally gave up.

"Quite Lu, I'm not strong anymore. I really can't." lirihnya raucous.

"Okay, next time we try again. I'll help you to take away that trauma. It's dusk, we'd better go home." but Luhan's arm was held by Jessica. The young man turned his head and looked at his arm held by Jessica and turned to Hazel's eyed face.

"Can we not go home now? I want to see Sunset." Luhan stared

Jessica nodded for a moment."Alright."

Seeing Sunset was something Jessica used to do with her when she was around. Jessica knew that her mother really liked twilight, as long as she remembered. His mother always looked at the twilight wherever he was and whatever his condition was. And the place he went to the most was the beach.

Jessica lowered her face, her eyes began to glaze over, at a time like this she suddenly remembered and missed her mother "Mama, very fond of twilight. Back in his life, he used to take me to the beach to see Sunset." Jessica smiled fondly remembering her memories with her mother. Her tears slowly spilled without her being able to prevent it.

Luhan shifted his seat then carried the girl into his arms. Letting Jessica cry in her arms, she did not even care if her clothes were wet because of Jessica's tears.

Luhan and Jessica are in the same position, they both have lost both parents and it is very painful for them.

Luhan rubbed Jessica's back with an up and down motion, trying to give Jessica calmness and strength to be more rigid in living her life full of twists and turns. There was a desire in Luhan's heart to always protect this girl in his arms.

After feeling calm, Luhan let go of his embrace and wiped away the tears on the girl's cheeks. "Smile, you look ugly when you cry." Jessica flicked her lips at Luhan's ridicule. Angrily Jessica punched slowly Luhan's open arm

"It's so annoying for you, Lu. I'm beautiful not ugly." the protest did not accept.

"If you're beautiful, how could you not have a lover until now." Luhan sneered as he looked at Jessica with a dismissive grin.

"Look, you don't know if you like me a lot. You know Suho, he had my senior at school. He's a rich young man who's crazy about me and we're in the process of approaching" Jessica said proudly.

Luhan's face changed instantly when Jessica brought up Suho. Stiff with dislike in his little heart, the young man got up from his sitting position and just waltzed. A big question mark appeared in Jessica's mind seeing Luhan's attitude change.

"It's almost night, we'd better go home" Luhan said in an icy tone.

"Yakk!! Luhan wait." Jessica grabbed her shoes which she placed next to her and chased after Luhan.

"Aaahhhh." but his steps stopped when his left foot accidentally stepped on the clam.

Fresh blood seemed to pour from her wound, the girl dropped her body on the sand of the beach. Seeing the blood suddenly made Jessica's eyes twitch, until finally...

"Sica??" the girl's body was immediately restrained by Luhan.

Luhan held onto Jessica's shoulder and made their eyes meet each other's eyes. Hurry Jessica averted her eyes, wherever the origin was not Luhan's eyes. "Your feet are bleeding." Luhan grabbed Jessica's leg and moved it up her lap.

Carefully Luhan pulled out the clams that stuck in Jessica's soles and then rubbed them with a handkerchief to stop the bleeding "You can stand?" ask Luhan.

Luhan stood up and extended his hand to Jessica. Jessica received a helping hand from Luhan, carefully Luhan helped Jessica to stand up but suddenly

"Hhhhhh...!!"

Luhan immediately restrained Jessica's body, which had almost lost its balance due to an injury to her left leg. Luhan's hand wrapped around Jessica's back while the girl's hand hugged Luhan's neck and another hand clasped Luhan's wrist.

Luhan's gray eyes met Jessica's. For a long time they stared at each other and were both reluctant to end that eye contact.

Without saying anything, Luhan lifted up Jessica's bridal style body and took her off the beach. Jessica's hand, which was holding Luhan's wrist, now moved to her neck, and Jessica's hands hugged the young man's neck.

Hesitatingly Jessica leaned her head against the chest of Luhan's field feeling her irregular heartbeat.

Slowly Jessica closed her eyes, positioning her head comfortably. Either because of tired or the breeze of the beach. Suddenly Jessica fell asleep in Luhan's arms. The young man lowered his gaze, a gentle smile adorning his reddish lips
