39: Threat of Murder

Under the star-studded night sky. Street lights lit up, inviting insects interested in the light swarming nearby. Just like the people who came to fill the crowd of the fireworks festival tonight, Luhan and Jessica were in between. Walk under lantern light and flickering colorful lights.

Luhan clasped Jessica's hand, tightly. He was afraid that if his lover disappeared in the crowded and crowded sea of humans, he regretted why he had to obey Jessica's desire to join the people just to see the fireworks show.

Luhan who had originally focused his gaze on the sky turned sideways and found Jessica's radiant face. Luhan thought for a moment, this is a very moving moment, he thought.

Suddenly people became fog. Panic and fear, the atmosphere that was originally peaceful and full of happy cheers turned gripping because of the swish of bullets released.

Luhan pulled out a weapon from behind a black vest that wrapped his body and unleashed it towards the people he believed to be hitmen. Two of them he managed to overcome, Luhan pulled Jessica to take shelter in a safe place, because he knew if indeed the life of his lover was what they were after.

Luhan shook his head "Only small wounds, no need to worry. Stay here and don't go anywhere let alone involve yourself in danger. They, let me handle it." Luhan's advice then moves on from Jessica's presence.

'DORRH!!'

Luhan leaned his face away from the shot aimed at him. The young man lunged at one of the men and shot right in the heart, remaining two more. Luhan pulled the gun from his opponent's hand and kicked it right in his heart.

Lock the man up with one of his hands while the other hand he uses to shoot the remaining one. Luhan deliberately let one of them stay alive.

"A.am.pun sir. We were just told, a woman paid us and assigned us to kill a girl named Jessica Jung."

"Who told you to?" sue Luhan is full of emphasis.

"The woman's name is...!"

The man had not yet finished his sentence. Someone shot him in the head first. Luhan turned his head and found the silhouette of a woman dressed in black running away leaving the crowd. Luhan was about to chase after the man but his steps were immediately stopped by Jessica.

Luhan did not say anything and instead pulled Jessica into his arms. He felt relieved because the girl in his arms was fine "It's already night, we'd better go home."

Luhan let go of his embrace and stared fixedly at Jessica's face "Aahh!!" The tattooed young man growled, grimacing as Jessica's handkerchief touched the wound on her face."It's okay, honey. Just a small wound" he said convincingly.

"Although only a small wound, but can be fatal if left." Jessica placed the wound plaster two adult fingers wide over the wound extending under Luhan's eyes.

"We go home" said Luhan who was later nodding back by Jessica.
