Legend of the Moon Sword

Legend of the Moon Sword
Strange creature

Zhi Yuo saw the magic swordsmen enter the inn. They set foot on the second floor of the place where the gathering suddenly took place.

One of them penetrated the crowd and approached the woman who was still knocked down in the middle.

The woman did not stop crying, while one of the magic swordsmen asked what happened. Three of them began to enter the woman's room, checking what was the cause of the commotion.

Zhi Yuo watched in the frontmost crowd. He saw how the swordsman talked to the woman he was interrogating. The woman could not answer more because she was still crying.

"It shouldn't be asked that directly." Inner Zhi Yuo. He has often faced this kind of thing. So, there is a possibility that the woman has a disorder. Moreover, he said this village is being disturbed by subtle creatures.

the three warriors who were inside the room walked outside. They reported that nothing happened inside.

"Maybe the lady was just having a bad dream, we didn't find any weirdness." Tell one of them.

Zhi Yuo's eyebrows frowned in wonder. Is that really so? It shouldn't be. Seeing how the woman was sobbing with fear was based only on a mere dream?.

"Where are your brains? " Zhi Yuo growled himself. He wanted to see the extent of the movements of these great warriors.

They approached the innkeeper and began to talk about something.

"Nothing, we go first. Maybe this lady is too exhausted."

The innkeeper actually did not believe it either, visible from the look on his face. But because he was too scared, he smiled and let the magic swordsmen go. Not forgetting to say thank you.

The four warriors were about to pierce through the crowd, before Zhi Yuo finally blocked their steps.

"Excuse me," The front one among them reprimanded Zhi Yuo.

Zhi Yuo gave a sharp look. He could see their faces from behind that straw hat. This is because his body is shorter than theirs.

"Interrogate people in the wrong way, check the rooms less thoroughly, and immediately leave without action. Are you guys really that smart or stupid?" Zhi Yuo whispered with every sharp remark that came out of his mouth.

Of course only the frontmost warrior could only hear that. His brows bent sharply, he glanced down to see the face of the brash boy Zhi Yuo.

"Don't block my steps, boy!" He growled with anger.

Zhi Yuo chuckled wryly, "Just move your own body."

The warrior with the front row was eager to hit the boy's face. But the action did not take place as his friend patted him on the shoulder and took him away from there.

"Hey, relax." His friend tried to calm him down.

"You know he's just a little boy, don't listen to him." Connect the others.

Zhi Yuo could hear all that. He was also grieving at that moment. If they knew Zhi Yuo's true age, they would have swallowed all the words they said.

Sighing to hold back his emotions, Zhi Yuo walked over to the woman who was still crying. The woman looked confused and frightened. No one helped him nor did he know how to ask for help.

Zhi Yuo bowed, he rubbed the woman's back then gave her a faint smile.

"Miss, are you okay?" Zhi Yuo's voice was as gentle as silk, and it could make the feeling of the crying woman calm down a little.

The woman's eyes were on him. His tears slowly began to run out, he stopped to cry.

Zhi Yuo turned to the owner of the residence and started waving.

"Sir, can you bring me a glass of water?".

The owner of the residence nodded quickly, he started running towards the lower floor to bring water for the woman. Soon he returned with a glass of water in his hand and immediately gave it to Zhi Yuo.

Zhi Yuo told the woman to calm down as well as drink the water and immediately followed. After feeling that he had calmed down, Zhi Yuo began to ask slowly.

"Miss, can you tell us what's going on?".

The woman fell silent, her lips twitching wanting to say something. Finally he tried to calm down and began to talk even though he was a bit stammered.

"I-I. I. saw something. Something in my room! B-large.. black. and go straight through the window..! M-its.. the red glows..!".

Zhi Yuo nodded a few times, "Then?".

"I. I dropped the jug that was on the table and ran outside. - everything started looking at me. i-".

"All right, that's enough. Sir, can you transfer this woman to another room?" Zhi Yuo. He finished the woman's story, he was shocked and Zhi Yuo could not force him. What matters is that he has a little information.

The innkeeper looked a little nervous, "But sir.."

Zhi Yuo knew the innkeeper's intent. He scratched his own forehead.

Zhi Yuo snorted, "I'll pay for the two rooms. Prepare a safer room for this lady."

The owner of the room nodded stiffly. He reached for the woman's hand with the help of those who were there.

"Basin the duitan eye! " Zhi Yuo.

The most important thing now is not that. But about that strange creature that woman told me about.

"Big, black, eyes red. Go through the room window." Zhi Yuo was constantly thinking about his traits.

He went into the woman's room. Looking empty, it seemed like the woman was staying alone. Looking at the open window of the room, the hanging white curtain was seen blowing in the wind.

Zhi Yuo drew closer to the window, his eyes glancing here and there to make sure the atmosphere was safe. Feeling that there was nothing, Zhi Yuo started to check around the window. And he got something weird.

"What's this?"

On the window, there was a foot print. It looks like black earth, and is shaped like a pair of animal legs. Judging from its shape, this animal has pointed fingers, slightly webbed, and sharp nails. For size, this was even larger than the size of his hand.

Moreover, Zhi Yuo inhaled a strange smell. It's like it's not the smell of ordinary animals, or the smell of other living things.

"What kind of demon is this?"

The dawn is coming from the east. The chirping of birds sounded melodious that morning, twitching to each other. The sky was still a bit dark, but orange rays began to shine through bit by bit.

Zhi Yuo was silent while enjoying the morning air. He sat by the window of the inn, on the lowest floor. He did not take care of the room he had booked before, because it was morning. He decided to go downstairs, sit at one of the tables, and enjoy the cool morning air.

"Good morning sir, are you sleeping well?" The owner greeted me kindly. He brought a cup of green tea ordered by Zhi Yuo.

Zhi Yuo turned his head slowly then nodded with a faint smile. Either he is a good liar or he is hiding something. Zhi Yuo's blackened eye bags look far from the word 'noise' while sleeping. He had trouble sleeping because he thought about last night.

Zhi Yuo chose to nod only. After all, the business would be long if he said it was difficult to sleep. The owner of the inn will think that he does not feel at home here.

"This is the tea, sir, enjoy it." The innkeeper poured green tea into his cup.

Zhi Yuo smiled, "Thank you."

The innkeeper returned his smile and left Zhi Yuo alone. Zhi Yuo was still pensive, he was too sleepy but his brain kept going. He kept thinking about last night. Actually what demons have the shape of legs like animals.

Suddenly he thought about the woman. The woman who cried because she was so shocked. How is he doing now?.

"Excuse me sir, were you last night?"

A voice surprised him. Zhi Yuo flinched slightly, then turned his head towards the source of the voice.

The woman who was in the crowd last night stood not far from him. The woman tucked her hair behind her ears using her fingers. He looked at Zhi Yuo doubtfully, while the one who was stared at waved his hand.

"Of course, miss. What's up?" Zhi Yuo asked.

The woman approached Zhi Yuo and thrust her hand out as if inviting acquaintance.

Zhi Yuo was silent for a moment trying to digest something. He then reached the woman's hand.

"I'm Zhi Yuo." Zhi Yuo introduced his name.

"How old are you, sir? You look younger than me." Said the woman known by the name An Ning.

"I'm 16, what about you?" Zhi Yuo asked back.

"Ah, you deserve to be younger than me. I'm 19 years old."

Zhi Yuo nodded, he felt that it was enough for an introduction. An Ning sat down before him until Zhi Yuo offered green tea, but An Ning refused.

They were silent for a long time, there was no conversation between them. Until An Ning finally opened the conversation.

"That's... Thanks for the help last night. Maybe I can't calm down if you don't come."

Zhi Yuo commented with a faint smile, "It's no big deal for me."

"I want to ask you more about the creature you saw last night. Can you remember them clearly?" Zhi Yuo began to interrogate further. He acted a little formal, because the person before him was older than him even though he was only 3 years away.

An Ning sighed heavily, he was still traumatized by what he had experienced last night. But he tried to calm down and decided to tell Zhi Yuo everything.

"I'm a newcomer to this village, so I don't really know what's going on here. People talk about the subtle creatures that roam around to disturb the citizens. But I didn't believe all those stories and decided to stay here overnight."

An Ning took a slow breath then started to continue his story again.

"As night fell and I tried to sleep, something like a heavy object hit the window of the room. I went to check on him, but there was nothing there. When I decided to close my eyes, suddenly there was a voice...".

An Ning's voice suddenly sounded trembling. He closed his own mouth with terrified eyes. Even so, he kept telling me until the end.

"Therefore I ventured to look towards the window of the room. I saw him. I-I saw a large black-bodied creature standing on the branch of the window. It was huge, it looked like a human that had wide wings..!".

After hearing all the stories, Zhi Yuo so found something quite strange from this creature.

Like humans, its body was blackened, it also had wings that were quite wide.

What is that creature, actually? This became a new case for Zhi Yuo. During his lifetime, he often killed many strange-shaped creatures. But only this time he found a human-like one with wings.

Zhi Yuo nodded, he facilitated their conversation. Because it seemed like An Ning already could not help his fear. The most important thing now was that Zhi Yuo had more information.

"You don't want me to have to find out for myself about this thing.. " Say Zhi Yuo in heart.

He commented a smile at An Ning, "Thank you for telling me about the creature's characteristics."

An Ning assented. Actually he was a little curious why Zhi Yuo was too enthusiastic about last night's events.

"Are you a warrior too?" An Ning finally asked.

When he heard that, Zhi Yuo cleared his throat slowly. He turned his gaze away from An Ning and replied with a murmur.

"Yes, you could say that."

"But you're still too young for that, so I'm a little less trusting." Denying An Ning.

Zhi Yuo glanced towards An Ning. When hearing An Ning's opinion that the woman did not believe him, a lazy snort came out of her mouth right then and there.

"Hey, kid. I was a cultivator who had even died a long time ago. If you say I lack experience because I am too young, it is a big mistake. " Inner Zhi Yuo.

A light laugh came out from Zhi Yuo's mouth. He sipped his last green tea to the toilet and began to rise to leave immediately.

"Thank you for the time, lady, I want to continue my journey." Zhi Yuo developed his sweetest smile.

An Ning's eyes blinked a few times, "You want to go straight away? Can we meet again another time?".

Zhi Yuo looked back, he chuckled then waved his hand.

" When will I see a woman as beautiful as you."

An Ning's face flushed like a tomato when Zhi Yuo said that. The perpetrator who had managed to tease the woman he had just met was chuckling ignorantly. It turned out that his nature had not changed much from his old self.

Zhi Yuo decided to continue the journey and look for a temporary residence to train his cultivation. Before that he paid for the lodging for the two rooms he had promised the innkeeper.

Then he could continue his journey calmly.

Market activity is going on as usual. Many visitors today went shopping. This sizable market made Zhi Yuo so troubled to find a way out of it. Before he wanted to ask someone where the way out of the market was, suddenly there was a commotion.

"Huh. early in the morning there's been a commotion." Zhi Yuo moaned. He wondered what was going on.

The crowd before him was inevitable. Zhi Yuo so had to stand at the very back. It also had the advantage of being able to listen to the rumors of many people regarding the problems that were going on.

"Hey, did you see that kid over there? It looks like a fight." Whisper one of the residents with his partner who is next to him.

"Oh, I seem to know that kid. He's the pickle seller's niece, right? Why can you fight?" His partner asked back. The rumors began to spread.

"The boy does like to fight, his son is fairly naughty and difficult to manage. I feel sorry for her aunt who bore shame for her actions." Another replied, I heard him connecting the conversation.

Zhi Yuo did not understand the whispers of the humans around him. He wanted to find out for himself who the little boy they meant.

"Excuse me, may I pass?" Zhi Yuo put away the crowd. They did not feel bothered by his attitude and gave him a way to go inside.

Zhi Yuo almost reached the front row of the crowd. But he did not get there because from his position now it appears what is the cause of the commotion.

"Hey, kid! Stop it!"

"God! He's bleeding! He's bleeding!"

"Someone! Please help the boy!"

The screams of the people sounded simple. Amongst the resounding cries, a small and skinny boy was raising his last fist.

His opponent fell on the ground. People were screaming right then and there in panic, in contrast to Zhi Yuo who was still silent and focused on seeing the boy's face.

"Catch that boy! Report him!" Shouted one of the citizens followed by the others.

Right after the citizens started to approach to capture him, the boy turned his face towards Zhi Yuo.

Their views met for a moment. Zhi Yuo's calm brown bead met with a nightly bead that looked at him sharply. Emotions from there.

Zhi Yuo could see his face clearly. That boy is too small. Perhaps he was still around 12 years old, about the same age as Xie Jia.

The cut on his face was clearly visible. It showed that he had just fought until he was seriously injured. His opponent had fainted, but he was still standing straight.

Zhi Yuo tilted his head with a feeling of bewilderment as well as astonishment.

"Well, he won in a fight with such a small body."

Who exactly is that boy?.
