Chapter 17 THE LOST HOPE

Already in the third month Alea disappeared from her home, Alea never once gave news to Laura and Gabby. Alea did do that on purpose because Alea was afraid that if she returned home Alea would experience the same thing. Currently Laura and Gabby do not care at all about the departure of Alea from the house so they are both very happy because both Laura and Gabby can freely control the house.

Today Laura plans to meet with a lawyer named Pauran, laura's plan was to request that all the inheritance left by her late husband who had been bequeathed to Alea be given to her by reason of Alea leaving the house.

Laura is getting ready to go to the office of Pauran's lawyer, Laura just comes alone because her daughter Gabby is in college. With a beaming face and a hopeful heart Laura set out to seventh office Pauran. Along the way to the office Laura's lawyer had imagined that he would receive a lot of money, Laura also had a plan in the future what will be done by him when the money is in his hands. Laura fantasizes about being able to shop for all the items she wants.

Fifty minutes already Laura's been racing her vehicle, uh she means driving Alea Laura's car is just borrowing. With a happy feeling Laura parked her car in the courtyard of Pauran's office. After that Laura stepped into the Pauran pocket full of confidence.

"Good morning, is Pauran's lawyer here?" ask Laura at the reception.

"Some ma'am, I'm sorry did you make your appointment first?" say receptions.

"Not yet" answered Laura honestly.

"Sorry mom, I should make an appointment especially if you want to meet with Mr. Pauran," explained the recipients.

"I'm asking you now call Mr. Pauran, tell him that Laura's wife Macz Welency wants to meet," Laura said in her overbearing style.

"Okay, please wait a moment," replied the receivers, he immediately contacted Pauran by phone call.

After talking to her boss, the reception allowed Laura to meet with Pauran in her room.

"I told you what, eat a good job," Laura said, staring at the reception with a condescending look. After that Laura immediately headed to the room where Pauran was. Laura read a board attached to one of the doors, on the board that read Pauran SH. Laura's convinced that it's Pauran's study.

Laura knocked on the door. A few moments later a voice came from inside the room.

"Now...."

Laura immediately entered according to the instructions she had heard earlier.

"Good morning lawyer Pauran," said Laura with a friendly smile.

"Good morning ma'am, please sit down, please" said Pauran to invite Laura to sit down.

"Tumben's here, what's the need?" ask Pauran without making small talk with Laura. Honestly Pauran disliked Laura after hearing several times her best friend Macz Welency told her about Laura.

"Ah, sir, a lawyer relax first," said Laura trying to take Pauran's heart.

"Sorry mom, but my work is piling up. Tell me what's going on that mom bothers to see me at the office" says Pauran. She ignored Laura's attitude.

"All right, so it's like this. Actually Alea my stepdaughter has gone from home somewhere, honestly I do not know where Alea went," said Laura.

"Continue..,"only one word is said Pauran.

"So since Alea left the house, can the inheritance that my late husband gave to Alea be given to me" Laura said with a smile.

"Can't..," replied Pauran.

"But why, Alea has been from home and I don't know where Alea went" Laura said in disbelief.

"It's easy, I can find out where Alea is going" replied Pauran. Pauran looked at Laura expressionlessly.

"How come, I've been trying to find Alea everywhere but I haven't found Alea" Laura told a lie.

"I was able to check Alea's last transaction through the atm Alea was using" said Pauran.

"Huh...." Laura was surprised by Pauran's words.

"But that's impossible" Laura said.

"Atm Alea is with me" said Laura

In her heart Laura started to feel a little uneasy.

"Oh, so atm Alea is Laura's mother, but how can it be?" tanya Pauran investigated.

"Alea gave it to me" Laura replied back to lying.

"Mom sure Alea who has given the arm is the same mother?" Pauran did not believe Laura's words.

"Yes .. rest assured," answered Laura hesitantly.

Seeing Laura's unconvincing expression while answering her question, Pauran immediately felt confident that Alea was forcibly taken by Laura.

"Give me atm Alea" said Pauran, holding out one hand to Laura.

"For what? atm it's Alea herself who gave it to me. So I'm not going to give this atm to a lawyer, sir" Laura refused.

"Give me the atm or I report you for theft!" mencam Pauran's. Pauran really didn't want to mince words with Laura anymore.

Hearing Pauran's words alone made Laura surprised but Laura did not want to give up on Alea.

"I don't want to, Alea gave it to me so let Alea take it for herself" Laura said. Laura has no intention of handing over the atm to Pauran, if Laura hands over the atm from which she and Gabby have met all her needs.

For the second time Pauran saw Laura's rejection and it made Pauran even more sure that the atm had been forcibly taken by Laura.

"So Laura's mother would rather be in prison than hand over Alea!" pauran said firmly. Laura also immediately shrunk her guts.

"But, can I get a month transfer if I give it to you?" laura spoke in a soft voice.

"Can't, because Macz Welency's will is only Alea who has the right to receive the money" said Pauran.

"But if this atm I give from where my daughter and I nakan?" laura said with a confused and sad face. Pauran just shrugged his shoulders in response.

"Give me the atm or I call the police right now" Pauran threatened.

Laura did not dwell when she heard Pauran's threat to her, inevitably even with a heavy feeling Laura put her hand in her tote bag to take Alea atm. After removing the atm from the bag Laura handed the atm with a heart that was not sincere to Pauran. In her heart Laura cursed the man before her at this moment.

After handing over the atm, Laura came home. Laura came home feeling confused. How not by putting confidence in him will receive inheritance instead his financial resources are actually lost. Laura entered her house with lethargic steps, just as Laura sat Gabby suddenly inside the house.

"Mom, how do we get the inheritance money?" gebby asked directly without seeing Laura's limp condition.

"No money" answered Laura.

"His helmet has been taken by a lawyer, now we have no money at all" Laura said.

"Ha...kok can? keep us how's mom?" Gabby.

"You quit college and you're looking for a job, because you can't work" Laura said.

"I don't want to, the pokonya I have to stay in college no matter how. I have to find money !" Gabby.

"Whatever....!" laura replies, after which Laura steps into her room leaving Gabby alone.
