The house that began today to be Lilyana's residence has two floors with different areas. Cael divides it well between the first and second floors. The first floor is more widely used Cael for his bakery, while the second floor is specifically for residence.
Lilyana and Irene occupy two rooms among the four existing rooms. The size of each room is not too big. It's just enough for a bed and a closet. However, it feels very comfortable because it has a large window that directly faces the green hills and a stretch of sea that is far stretched.
Cael allows the two girls (especially Lilyana) to bathe and rest first before dinner arrives.
After the bath, Lilyana decided to go to bed first. The atmosphere and cool air make Lilyana not feel living on a remote island, but a beautiful and aesthetic beachfront home.
His eyes glared, staring at the ceiling of the room made of wood. "Dad, Mom, I now live away from home. Protect my every step. Sorry, I haven't been able to visit your graves." Lilyana took in her heavy breathing. Understandably, every time she remembered her parents, Lilyana was always filled with feelings of fear and guilt. Moreover, he had never visited their tomb at all. The location of the funeral was known to Lilyana through the news on television.
As for his family's property, from what he had heard through Leo, the government would take over entirely. Lilyana doesn't care about that. After all, for Lilyana the most precious treasure was only Mary and Joseph, both parents whom she loved dearly.
One thing he should be grateful for right now is the kindness of the people he met. Lilyana hopes that calmness can accompany her life from now on.
"Lilly!" Irene suddenly called out to him while knocking on the door of her room.
Lilyana got up from the bed and opened the door.
"Evening is ready. You want to eat with us or above. Let me help you get it later."
Hearing the good offer, Lilyana shook her head. Irene was a really good girl and she couldn't use her kindness to do the little things.
"We have dinner together" Lilyana replied with a smile. The two went to the dining table where Cael was waiting.
Lilyana's shadow about the food served turned out to be wrong. He thought Cael would cook all kinds of seafood. However, apparently there are various other dishes there such as meat and chicken.
"You must be surprised?" As if knowing what Lilyana was thinking, Cael made a sound.
Lilyana nodded her head grimacing.
"Near the hill we built a farm that was run together. It was difficult at first, but not anymore." Cael explained.
Lilyana flabbergasted. He did not cover his admiration for the islanders who were able to adapt. Not only that, Cael also told him various things about the island while enjoying a delicious dinner.
A dinner that reminded him of Leo and Anna.
"That means you don't have a surname?" cael asked as they discussed each other's lives.
Lilyana shakes. "Actually the owner of the parlour gave me his surname, but I refused!" kilah the girl.
Cael and Irene nodded their heads in understanding. Both are also concerned and amazed, because at this young age Lilyana has been able to travel far.
Lilyana just smiled a little. I don't know what will happen to them if they tell me the truth.
"Well then, let's start talking about the business!" exclaiming Cael.
"Lilyana, you said, you can't cook, right?" Cael pointed at Lilyana with vigor.
"It's okay, it's okay! That means you're serving as a cashier. While Irene was struggling in the kitchen with me. Oh, Lilyana also has to make sure our bread stock is not exhausted yes ...!"
Lilyana nodded again, and so did Irene.
Some provisions did not forget to discuss the three of them, including the salary that will be paid Cael. For that one thing Lilyana does not mind anything, because for her to stay and eat there alone is more than enough.
After dinner, Cael asks Irene to take Lilyana around the place first to get to know the neighborhood better. Irene happily complied, it just so happened that she had known some people and places here because she had come to visit.
"I thought your cousin was married, Irene?" lilyana asked curiously, when they had just walked out of the bakery.
Irene grimaced small. "He's not a man who likes commitment, you wouldn't expect the type of partner he likes."
Lilyana raised her eyebrows high. "What is it like?"
Irene turned her gaze to Lilyana while putting on a mysterious face. He leaned closer to the girl's ear and whispered.
A second later, Lilyana widened her eyes as soon as she finished hearing Irene whisper.
"Oh, my ...." Lilyana almost cursed before finally chuckling.
Irene laughed too. "So, you don't have to worry either. Because he'll never like you!" Laughter was heard from the girl's mouth.
Lilyana shook her head as she occasionally asked Irene to shut up and focus on exploring the place.
For Lilyana, the atmosphere at night on this island is very beautiful. Colorful lights installed in almost all corners of the place make the atmosphere more beautiful.
"Irene, when did you come?" A thick-bodied man suddenly greeted them.
"Uncle Patrick! I just came this afternoon!" Irene answered cheerfully. The girl then introduced Lilyana to him.
"Uncle, this is my friend from the village, Lily. He'll be working to help Cael in the shop." Irene then turned her eyes to Lilyana. "Lily, this is Uncle Patrick, the owner of the hardware store on the other end, ' said the girl, pointing to their front.
"Greetings, Mr. Patrick," Lilyana said politely as she bowed her body.
Patrick laughed. "Hey, don't be that formal. Just call me, like Irene," she asked.
Lilyana smiled shyly and then nodded. The two talked for a while, before continuing on their way back.
There are many places that they visit, while getting acquainted with their owners. From starting a grocery store that sells a variety of household needs, clothing stores, bars, to small salons. Even the playground for the kids is there.
This nameless island really has almost complete facilities. Once again he salutes the population that is able to adapt.
As they walked back, Lilyana's attention was on one large enough house that only illuminated the porch lights there. It looks like the owner deliberately asked for decorative lights not installed in front of his house.
"Ren, whose house is it?" ask Lilyana curiously.
