Almost gave up

Sam started to open his eyes slowly, the man felt his head was very heavy. The last thing she remembered was Zea knocking on her car door, after which she remembered nothing more. Sam glanced around, he only realized that he was in the hospital, but the one thing that made him feel even more sick was that no one was by his side.

No tears began to drip in the corner of his eyes, if he could choose he should not have to wake up again. Guilt suffocated him, his pain was ignored and thousands of arrows pierced his heart. He was tired, he wanted to give up. It's possible that badass men don't seem appropriate for Zea.

Sam wiped his tears violently as the door of his room opened and someone walked in and walked up to him.

"Aware?" ask someone, Sam turned his head and did not expect that person was Ega.

"Rest. The doctor said you're lacking rest. I have to go now!" Ega patted Sam on the shoulder, as he was about to exit Sam held him back.

"I will release Zea as you wish. I'll take care of the divorce after Zea gives birth!"

Ega was surprised to hear Sam's decision, he thought Sam would fight for the blessing of Indhi, but apparently the man would just give up. Ega turned around and looked at Sam's pale-looking face.

"I'm self-conscious, men like me don't deserve Zea!"

Ega did not answer again, the old man chose to leave the room where Sam was treated. Honestly, he was disappointed by Sam's decision, but that's not what they wanted, Sam and Zea separated. Ega should have been relieved that Sam had finally let go of Zea.

Ega returns to her home with feelings that must somehow be explained. Upon arriving home, Zea and Indhi were already waiting for him with stiffened faces.

"How is uncle yah condition?" asked Zea with a worried look.

"He's just exhausted" Ega replied as he was.

"How could he be exhausted? But Uncle's been conscious, right?" asked Zea again, Ega approached her daughter and nodded.

"He's conscious."

"Thank God!"

Zea could breathe a sigh of relief, since Sam was taken to the hospital his mind was very unsettled, he was afraid something bad happened to Sam.

"Sit Ze, you got something to say!"

Zea sat beside her mother, the two women staring questioningly at Ega.

"What's up, huh?" indhi asked curiously, since entering the house her husband's face looks riled up making her feel a little worried.

"Sam said he'd divorce Zea after Zea gives birth!"

Zea squeezed her hand, her head as if it had hit something really big, she could not believe what she had just heard.

"Divorce?" repeat Zea with lips shaking.

Indhi looked at her daughter, she felt guilty when she saw Zea crying. During this time he also knew that Zea often cried secretly. Indhi thinks it could be that she is too selfish, yet she just wants to protect her daughter.

Zea said nothing more, the girl got up from her seat and walked towards the room. Upon arriving in the room, Zea cried. Seeing Sam with another woman did hurt him, but the fact that Sam would divorce her was a thousand times more painful. Zea felt so claustrophobic, as if her chest was crushed by a rock, she could not breathe, she felt like she had lost everything.

A whole day Zea shut herself up in her room, she had no appetite either. All he had in mind was the word divorce.

"I need to hear it in person!" muttering Zea while wiping her tears, the pregnant woman then went out of the room and went to her parents' room, she wanted to ask permission to come out, he had to hear the word divorce straight from Sam's mouth.

"Ma, please allow Zea to meet uncle," Zea pleaded.

"What are you gonna do? Didn't you hear yourself that Sam would divorce you!" indhi replied he did not like it.

Ega glanced at his wife, the man then rubbed her back gently. "Well, let the kids solve their own problems. Besides, I'm sure Sam has regretted his actions" said Ega persuaded his wife.

"But yeah, mama doesn't want Zea to get hurt anymore!" indhi firmly while looking intently at her husband.

"Dad knows, I don't want Zea to get hurt either. But what mama didn't realize, by separating them, we also hurt Zea ma. Remember our struggles, remember how you tried to accept and love your father. Mama needs thousands of days to love me, and so does Sam. Give him one more chance. This time it really is the last!"

Indhi breathed out violently, if Ega had studied the past then he could not do anything because their story used to be almost the same as the story of Sam and Zea, they marry without a foundation of love and Indhi struggles very hard in order to love her husband.

"Dad, where's uncle?" asked Zea with a hunting breath.

"He just left Ze," Ega replied with a puzzled face, he did not yet understand what situation was going on why they were looking for each other. "Dad said you went to the hospital, maybe he went back to the hospital!"

"Ma let's go to the hospital again!"

"No Ze, mama's afraid you're exhausted. Think baby. Let's just wait at home, Sam will definitely come to see you!"

"But ma."

"No but-but not yet Ze."

Zea looked down sluggishly, and then rubbed her flat stomach. "May dady come back soon, son!"
