Chapter 69

The atmosphere of the building looked crowded and the party was lively. Fifteen minutes ago, Cyara was the legal wife of Zavier Gottardo. The two were smilingly welcoming the guests all day. Cyara looks so beautiful with a long-sleeved white wedding dress in harmony with Vier who looks so handsome.

The guests have now alternated to leave the place and now all that remains is the large family of the groom who is still busy chatting because they just gathered because of their respective activities. Jasmine approaches Cyara who is with Vier and someone who may be Cyara's friend.

"Dear, come here! Mama will introduce you to the entire Vier family," invite Jasmine to take Cyara to meet her extended family who had not been introduced earlier.

Cyara smiled and got up from her seat, "I went there first" said Cyara to the man who is now her husband.

Vier nodded, Cyara walked away from Vier along with Rayyan.

As Cyara chatted with Vier's family, Cyara's gaze was fixed on the seat her husband was sitting in. Rayyan's gone, and Vier's gone with someone, while the others don't seem to realize it yet. Only Cyara, Cyara the one who saw someone she knew pulled Vier's hand away. 

"Ma, Cya go there first" said Cyara and Jasmine just nodded.

Cya quietly followed their steps, even as the woman pulled Vier to a place a fair distance away from the party venue.

Cyara saw Vier pull over the woman's hand, and it was about to pass but Vier's steps stopped when he heard the woman speak, even Cyara's breath was choked to hear it. Cyara turned her body and leaned against the wall. In a room whose door was slightly open, Cyara heard everything.

"Vier I married Ken because I had to, I had no other choice, papa was lying in the hospital, he wanted me to marry the granddaughter of my grandfather's best friend, I was forced to agree to Vier, when he was in the hospital, I don't know if it's Keanu, I really don't know, I know when the wedding day happened, Vier I'm sorry, but Vier needs you to know, even if I'm married to Ken, even if I'm married to Ken, in fact my heart still loves you, I love you so much Vier."

Vier clenched both his hands tightly, even his tears were now falling already. No different from the woman who is now behind the wall who is also listening to it all. Cyara's body even felt limp and almost fell down, if she didn't hold on. She had just gotten married today, but Cyara had already felt a great pain in her heart.

"I wanted to come and chase you, but sorry I couldn't, I wanted to explain everything to you, but I was afraid that you would suddenly leave me. That's the truth Vier, that's the truth" Sheira shouted explaining to Vier what really happened.

Vier turned around, walked quickly, pulled Sheira's nape and kissed her.

Cyara was really surprised to see it all, it felt like oxygen was taken from him to make it difficult to breathe. Cyara felt tight on her chest, let alone seeing Vier's gaze on her sister, Vier clearly still loved her, and that was the reality that Cyara had always been trying to tepis lately.

Cyara's heart was so sick, so painful and hurt, Vier still loved his sister very much.

Vier releases the link of their lips, Sheira's tears fall down her cheeks. 

"Alright Vier, do what you want to do, but you need to know Vier, I love you so much."

With eyes flooding her face, with chest that felt so tight, Cyara turned around and looked back at the two people. Her heart wanted to be diverted from the painful sight, but her body refused, Cyara saw Vier kissing Sheira again, a longing kiss.

His heartbeat seemed to stop right then and there, his life seemed to be taken from his body.

"Why did God test me this hard when I was just about to start? No. Cyara it's your fault, it's your fate, and you shouldn't regret what you decided, you shouldn't regret Cyara."

Cyara's grasp strengthened, with all her might she tried to stand up again, standing on her own feet.

"You can't be weak, Cyara, you've also fallen and finally got up, and now you can definitely be Cyara, you can do it, for Rey and Rain, for the children's happiness," cyara said to herself.

"Did I leave here? Shouldn't I be here? No, Cyara, maybe Vier and Sheira are lovers, but then, now Vier is your husband and you're the one who deserves it. You have the right to hinder anyone who will take it from you."

"Let me be sick and wounded, I must keep what is mine."

Vier let go of his kiss. Vier looked at Sheira as well as at Vier.

"I love you She, even when you hurt me, I still love you," Vier cupped Sheira's cheeks, wiping away the woman's tears.

"No, I can't, I can't hear that anymore" Cyara said in her heart. 

Cyara wanted to leave, but her legs were heavy, so Cyara remained there. Cyara wiped away her tears, sighing long.

"But that was Sheira, our story was over when I saw you with another man, whatever your reasons, all I know you've left me Sheira, you've dumped me, that's all I know, and I hate traitors so much" said Vier so softly, suddenly Vier pulled his hand from Sheira's cheek and passed, Vier was surprised to see Cyara there, the woman now looks calm, Cyara managed to cover up her pain.

"But I was helpless Vier back then!" Shouted Sheira who did not accept Vier leaving just like that.

"Vier!"

"Wait Vier!" Sheira walked over to Vier who stopped at the door. And Sheira is shocked when she sees Vier and Cyara.

Since then Vier's views have not changed at all, as well as Cyara, the two are still looking at each other, and it was as if something slapped Vier so hard.

"Are you going to let me go, Vier?" Ask Cyara calmly.

Vier looked at Cyara not looking back one bit.

"I'll be here Vier, if you choose me, you'll have to come to me" Cyara said again in a trembling voice.

Sheira looks at Cyara sharply, but Cyara does not care, Cyara does not want anyone to seize her husband, let alone her own sister.

"Vier you won't leave me Vier, you still love me," Sheira said, hoping that Vier would listen more.

"I'll take care of the divorce if you choose it" Cyara said with a choked breath.

Vier fell silent, he still looked at Cyara clingyly.

"Vier don't leave me Vier!" Sheira's screams are heard again and Vier turns to look at Sheira.

Seeing that, not even listening to Vier's reply, Cyara rewinded her steps slowly, Cyara turned around and was about to leave from there. But his steps came to a halt when a pair of hands hugged him from behind.

Vier flipped Cyara's body quickly, and grabbed the woman into his arms.

"Take me off Cyara! Take me away and leave all this behind" said Vier, hugging Cyara tightly. 

And Cyara's defense was finally over already, Cyara's tears were flowing so profusely, she had not expected, really not expected, if Vier had finally chosen her.
