Dad is probably the right word to describe my current situation.
How not, just a few minutes warm-up for the sports lesson began I had been disoriented and almost fainted if only Cia did not realize my condition immediately. Because I did not want to bother so in the end Mr. Hendra as the person in charge of sports lessons loosened me to take a break in the UKS. But I refused it and insisted on waiting on the sidelines alone to be able to monitor the lesson even from afar, probably because I did not want to waste time teaching him to serve me, Mr. Hendra agreed to my request without debating but with a note if I why he would not be responsible.
I let out a heavy sigh when I saw Mr. Hendra blowing a whistle indicating that the training had begun. In the middle of this hot September, their enthusiastic screeches in the middle of the field seemed to burn while burning the spirit. While on the other hand, I was only able to smile incisively while staring at them. Regardless of what happens to me now I am not very talented in sports, whatever category it is. That's why I sometimes envy when I see Cia, even though she can't be said to be a pro when exercising but that woman can't be underestimated. Contrary to me nob, so Jo often mocked me and called 'father' is my middle name in the field of sports.
I don't know how long I've been pensive while staring at the grass trimmed neatly under my shoes. When I came to my senses, I found the shadow of someone standing in front of me. At first I frowned in confusion and when I looked up to see the figure of the silhouette owner, my eyes immediately puffed up as I found the man's face looking sweaty, "Bio?" I muttered, looking at him in a daze. I glanced back at her body then looked back at her while wondering inwardly.
The man clucked, "It's hot, Bon. Mending moved to a more shady place gih."
"What are you doing here?"
Bio shaking. "You are what you are, even how it is." Bio chose to ignore my question and pulled my wrist just like that and led me to sit under a shady tree. "Would you like a drink?" asked Bio, I looked at him then shook my head and shortly nodded. Meanwhile, Bio chuckled at my stability, "There's water coming right here?" ask again, I reflexively shook my head. "Judah, drink mine first, is it okay if my ex?" he then handed me his bottle.
I stared at the bottle that was thrust out long before my hand finally stretched out to welcome the gift, "Nothing" I said and smiled weakly. "Thank you, the drink." I said, raising the bottle.
"Well eat?" the question was as soon as I finished vertical the drink that left half a bottle. The question he asked reminded me that I missed my breakfast this morning because I woke up late. I usually rely on my mother's voice as my wake-up alarm. But the same with me, this morning my mother also woke up late because of a sudden flu. "I don't think so yet, your face is pale." knotted the man right on target.
I looked at him, "Huh?"
Bio ruffled my hair, "That's why if you know there's an exercise lesson today, try to get up early for breakfast first at home, let's not faint." he said, the man pulled my wrist. "Yaudah, if so we go to the UKS? Let me anterin." he continued, which suddenly made me pull my hand back to my side.
"No, I'm just giddy anyway. This is not bad." I refused while avoiding his hand that was about to reach my hand again.
I could hear Bio's rough-sounding breath. "Bandel really if you say it" he said made me look up at him while smiling grimacing. "Yaudah, you wait here first huh." the man patted me on the shoulder once then stepped foot across the school.
While I was subconsciously staring at her disappearance, "Eh? Where are you going?!" my question raised the voice so consciously that his back slowly shrank from my sight. But I guess my shrill voice will not reach his sense of hearing at all and it proved true from the further away the silhouette of his body at the end of the school hall. I sighed then turned my gaze back to the grass under my feet while thinking about Bio's attitude towards me all along. Had I not known that the man was taking heart in Fei, I would probably have been more confident that the man was reciprocating my one-sided feelings, given how intense the attention he showed me. Fortunately God still loved me and warned me before I actually fell deeper into the pool of my feelings for Bio knowing the pent-up feelings of the man to other women, which in an instant made me know myself and get out of the way first before being expelled.
Shortly after his departure, the man reappeared in front of me, carrying a box of sterofoam and a bottle of drink in both hands. "Now, I bought you a meal" he said, then placed the item he was carrying in the empty gap between the chairs we were sitting in. "Don't you like chicken porridge?"
I nodded slowly. "I like anything."
"I'll take that."
"Later, wait for you to finish eating first."
Choosing to ignore his whereabouts then I went back to eating the chicken porridge that I had. "I'm still a long time ago. Later Mr. Hendra will be angry you know." I said without turning my gaze from the chicken porridge I was stirring. I stared at the field and continued my words again, "Somehow the other words when I see you're even feeling good here while they're hot."
Bio handed me the bottle of mineral drink that had been opened cap, I received it with pleasure and then drank through the straw that the man brought. "You don't have to worry about anything. Just think about yourself and if even then Mr. Hendra is angry, I must have Mr. Hendra angry just to me." said Bio while his gaze rolled towards the field.
"Uh-tapi–"
Hurry Bio interrupted my words, "Udah, continue to eat" he said. I nodded and continued eating in silence. On the side of my meal, I heard the man laughing, as soon as I glanced at him from the corner of my eye I could see the man staring into the field. Out of curiosity then I followed his gaze and what I did not think was the object he noticed was Fei, at this time the woman got a turn to serve. Many times the woman tried to serve but unfortunately the ball she gave always ended up stuck in the net. And what the woman did not know was that along the turn, Bio did not turn his gaze away from her.
I looked down sad while my hands were busy stirring up the porridge I was holding. Actually deep in my heart I cursed myself because just because of comfort, I forgot that between me and Bio is only a friend. And I felt ashamed of myself for insulting Fei whose incident did not know anything. "Cock just glared at the porridge? Full on?" asked Bio who made me nod while tightly grasping the spoon in my hand.
"Thank you, I'll change the money."
"No need to."
"Bi, comeon? You know, I don't want to be too dependent on other people."
"If so I will make you dependent on me."
I automatically looked at Bio. "What did you say just now?" I don't believe what I just heard.
Bio shook his head with his mysterious smile, I was getting confused without any explanation. "If it's gotu–" without turning his gaze away from me, the man pointed towards the field using his thumb. "I joined the others first huh." continued then stood up. Still with a fussy mind, I nodded following a small smile for him that was also waltzing away to the middle of the field.
The man turned his back when I shouted to his name, "Excite the exercise!" my shrill cry was accompanied with my hands clenched into the air.
